Bought this about a month ago and am absolutely pleased with the purchase! I had spent a month or so previous trying to decide between half a dozen or so other shoes and cannot stress how happy I am I bought these. I'm not much of a runner but do the casual run here and there and go for walks everyday with the wife. I'm a size 12 D width and it runs true to size. Fits like a glove which is a good thing but if you're a wide footer than definitely get a 2E or 4E, because though it fits me well I think that even some who wear D width may feel it to be tight. The durability seems great so far but will find out I guess after at least 6 months or so I guess but it has been through some work since it was bought and still feels like a cloud and the outsole looks like it ... MoreBought this about a month ago and am absolutely pleased with the purchase! I highly recommend the shoe if you're looking for a max cushion runner that is good for walking in as well.

Love the rocker in this shoe. I have had Morton's Neuroma surgery on both feet and having difficulty finding comfortable shoes. The rocker and extra cushion in the forefoot provide comfort for me for everyday activities such as walking long distances, strength training, etc. My hope is that Asics continues the GlideRide 3 model without changing to much. It would be nice to have more variety of colors to choose from. I would certainly recommend this shoe.

My first run was on a cold morning and the midsole still felt soft. The way its curved is very aggressive at the front tipping me forward, but the heel is quite flat.RideI got this to replace my NB More V3 which died at 900kms. On my initial Easy Run - I tried to run(plod) the same way I did in the V3s and it felt 'OK' but I was having some buyers regret. As i leant forward a bit more to land on the front of the midfoot on the tipping point it really started to feel great. I found that at easy paces I kept a higher cadence and shorter stride length (which is something I have been trying to do anyway). After making these adjustments, I found I really enjoyed the ride during my long run/easy pace. If you are not willing those adjustments then I would suggest going elsewhere.Whilst not a stability shoe, I felt absolutely zero lateral movement which for a mild pronator was great when combined with this much impact protection. The arch is supported but for me it could have a smidgeon more support but that’s probably specific to my footstrike.DurabilityThe outsole will likely last forever. At only 30kms its hard to tell how much the midsole will compress with time but given the softness I would guess 600kms, but I will do another review once I rack up the miles.ComparisonsMore V3I prefer the more for pure recovery plodding sessions even if it gets affected by the cold a lot more., As a long run shoe that promotes cadence that will then translate to higher paces on other runs the glideride 3 is my pick.Nike invincibleThe Nike is way softer, requires a pure midfoot footstrike but doesn't have much of a rocker feeling - it really depends on the bounce from the foam and is much less stable. I prefer the glideride (and more v3), though I imagine the invincible would work well for people with near perfect foot mechanics.Hoka Clifton (6)Glideride is softer, has better rebound, more rockered (but more agrressively so). Clifton requires a less specific footstrike but if I wanter a plodder I'd go an NB More, if I want a daily I'd go elsewhere.Fuelcell TCMy all time favorite long run shoe, softer bouncier easier to go fast, but can also plod along BUT also quite unstable AND both my pairs the midsole started bottoming out at 400kms and stretching them to 450 I got weird pains. I feel like the Glideride is a little less fun, but my joints will be better for it (and is likely to last longer)Fuelcell RC 2RC2 is Better for uptempo long run, bouncier and super comfortable. But is much less rockered which is the one knock I have on it. The geometry and slightly firmer midsole mean RC2 is just 'OK' at slower paces, but really works as an uptempo long run trainer / race shoe (though for racing I would strap on my AF/VFs)

I've run in all three versions of the GlideRide and each version gets significantly better.. GlideRide 3 is the softest and most comfortable version to date. While some are finding fault in the upper, I really like the foot lock-in of version 3; it seems to cradle the foot better from heel to toe. There is a noticeable bounce that was less pronounced in the earlier versions. However, I would say that the toe-off rocker has been further dampened due to the softness of the midsole. GlideRide 2, in my opinion was better calibrated (reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars; hint, hint work on perfecting this in version 4). For everyday runs GlideRide 3s are great keeping my legs fresh on cement and blacktop surfaces. They hold their own for fartlek runs with my mid-foot ... MoreI've run in all three versions of the GlideRide and each version gets significantly better.. I liked these so much I purchased a second pair.
This is my second pair of the Glideride 3, but this time I went up half a size from my usual. My first pair are still great, but took a little bit to loosen up in the toe box.The point of the Glideride shoes is for eating up long distances, so that’s what I use them for. The pronounced curve in the forefoot allows them to roll through kilometre after kilometre. I typically use both pairs for 1-2 hour runs. However, I have used them for faster tempo and threshold runs and they’ve also been great for those faster sessions.
I run 60~70 miles per week but I mainly run just for the sheer joy of running. I'll race a few times per year but racing is not what I'm focused on. I have many running shoes - both road and trail - and there are some really great ones and the GlideRide 3 is one of them. I got it for a specific need - long distances (10+ miles) at an easy pace (which, for me, is around 9m/mile) and it performs exactly as I want it to.It's comfortable, well-cushioned but not squishy, stable yet responsive, bouncy but in a steady manner, and it just makes you forget what you have on your feet and enjoy the run. I don't consider it an easy/recovery shoe although I can imagine some runners using it as such. I view it as a long-distance cruiser.I use the Novablast 3 for daily training and it can do long easy miles too, but I prefer the GlideRide 3 when I just want to set a reasonable pace and go long. The GlideRide 3 just seems better suited for this kind of running than the Novablast 3. I have many great shoes in my rotation but the GlideRide 3 ranks as one of my top five and the best for locking in a pace and just enjoying the ride.
Bought these to replace my Hoka Clifton 8s which I really enjoyed doing my recovery runs in because of the cushion and the fit.Size EU41.5 for both and matched perfectly. These are a great next step for those just getting into running because they are more responsive but still the same cushion. The HOKAs when not new are quite squirelly on slick surfaces but these grab a bit better too.Bit thicker on the upper, which is fine for cooler weather and doesn't stretch as much on longer runs.Overall, these should be a great recovery & everyday trainer which I feel quite secure in.Can't say anything about durability yet, but I'm quite sure the outsole will last 600kms which was the limit of the Clifton 8s.
Done 55km on them for now, really love the ride / gait cycle feel of the shoe. Reminds me a lot of the Endorphin Speed 1’s with the speed roll through the gait cycle. Quite soft and comfortable under foot .. but .. for me battling with heat build up under ball of my feet from about 5km distance into the run onwards. By 8km have to stop and kick the shoes / wiggle the feet around a bit for some relief. Have tried different lacing patterns to try and see if that makes a difference / different thickness of socks too but so far no improvement .. have yet to take these past 10km distance in a run. Been running slower / easy day paces only in them (6min-5:30min per km) .. have done a few faster strides to just below 5min a pace and felt “easy” enough to get there with ... MoreDone 55km on them for now, really love the ride / gait cycle feel of the shoe. I’m trying to run mid-foot strike which is prob also not helping my issue. Have no issue in other shoes like Pegasus / Saucony / Brooks Glycerin etc Will run prob another 20-30km in them to see if it improves before sending back to ASICS for the refund and try my luck with Novablast perhaps next ..
Wow! This is way better than Glideride 2. More responsive. Softer yet stable. Surprisingly it can handle threshold paces, but it is definitely made for easy to half marathon to marathon effort long runs. I really like the Guidesole tech and helps with efficiency. I was going to get the Superblast but, the 45mm stack height turned me off. I was thinking Novablast 3, but I felt needed more stack height. I landed on this underrated gem. If you are looking a daily trainer/ long run shoe, this is an excellent choice. Also my feet aren't as sore the next day after a long run.
Very odd sizing makes this a shoe I cannot wear. I've worn 9.5 for years, in anything from running shoes (mostly Saucony) to casual and dress shoes. Ordered this in 9.5, and it was way too long. Tried 9.0 and the midfoot is so tight that my foot goes numb (after first hurting a lot). I have average to narrow feet and have never had such a problem with any other standard width shoes in the past. I guess everyone's foot is different, but if you fit well in Saucony Kinvara, Freedom, Endorphin Speed/Pro, I advise skipping on this shoe.
