Quality shoe that looks great. It's a casual sneaker. I mainly buy Asics due to the shoes slightly extra width. It's also a break-in shoe, as with most brands they will get more comfortable over time. Soles are glued on tightly though, so changing them for more ergonomic ones is doable, but takes some pulling. 4/5 as I've yet to come across a perfect shoe in my lifetime.

As soon as I wore these shoes for the first time, I knew I would be buying other pairs. I am not a sneakerhead, so I tend to gravitate towards the "non-mainstream" shoes and fits. This is a perfect piece because of the classic 80s look and the unique Asics branding on the sides, heel, and toe. They are inexpensive and as such have some stringiness coming off the stiching on the synthetic leather. However, it's not very noticable. The insole is very comfortable, but if they wanted to add an even better insole, they could. Overall, it's a stylish, breathable, comfortable shoe. I would like to see a version with premium materials such as true leather and suede.

I have been looking for white sneakers for a while until I landed on these. I purchased a size 8 and I have a medium arch. These sneakers fit perfectly and are comfortable. I live in NYC and walk around A LOT. I received many compliments wearing these. They are also easy to clean if it gets a little scuffed from hours of walking.However, if you have high arches I would recommend adding insoles in them so you will have more support.

I brought them on a quick weekend trip as my only pair of shoes, and after only a couple hours noticed searing pain with every step in the toe box. They are very snug there, and the leather material is so stiff that it squeezed my forefoot nonstop. When I got home, I had a bone spur on the top of my foot from the poor fit.I understand that the shoe could be great if I had ordered up a size, but I'm really disappointed customer service couldn't offer me any kind of recourse. No exchange, no return, no discount if I send these back and get another size. Firstly i found the website manageable ona 65 inch screenvand using adaptive technology. The website is very user friendly comoared to so many others. As far as the trainers are concerned, i already had two pairs of Japan S. I have a very extensive range of high end trainers across many brands. The Japan S trainers are currently my favourite brand and style. They are a stunning classic design than goes well with many wardrobe items. They are comfortable beyond what i expected them to be. These are now one of 5 different Japan S colour combos I own and im extremely happy with them all. It's everything you'd expect from Asics. Well built, comfortable, looks great. The color contrast between the white and beige is a bit more noticeable in person than it looks online.My only issue with the shoe is that it runs small and narrow. The narrowness may simply be because I haven't broken in the leather yet, but the length surprised me. I usually wear size 11 shoes and decided to size up to 11.5 to give myself some extra wiggle room. Even then, in some positions my toes still touch the end of the shoe. Again, this might become less of an issue as the padding in the heel compresses to my feet, but definitely size up on these, at least on the higher end of the sizing scale.
These are a great retro style but… the tongue on the right shoe keeps sliding to the right during wear. I called customer service and was told to put one part of the laces under the tongue and that would secure it. Yes it does but the laces under dig into my foot. Not a solutionI’d like to exchange them but already tossed the box.ASICS have been my go to but this is the second pair that have disappointed. Additionally the insole is pretty nonsupportive. I wish I could have help from ASICS to find a good replacement.
Loved the looks and the quality, unfortunately 12 was just barely too snug, like to the point that I almost kept them anyways but with the limited walking around my living room they were just too snug, and unfortunately for some reason 12.5 isn’t available? But all the other half sizes are under 12? I looked around and couldn’t find 12.5 wasn’t available in any of the Japan s series. Hopefully someday 12.5 will be available because the quality of these seemed impressive
It's super comfy and looks fresh whether you're just relaxing or hitting the gym. The design is sick with a clean, classic Japanese-inspired style and not too much branding. The sole is hella cushioned, so your feet stay comfy all day, and the upper is breathable, so your feet stay cool and dry. Overall, if you want a sweet shoe that's both comfy and cool, the ASICS JAPAN S sneaker is a solid choice!
