These are my fourth pair of Gel Contends and they last for years even though used every day for tennis, dog walking, everything. Happy colours have remained reasonable simple. They fit my foot even though I'm an adult.Thanks Asics for making these great runners.

Durable and comfortable. Tried and tested (& will buy again). These shoes stand up to the active boy test - they have outlasted many other brands of school shoe. They are comfortable with good support for growing feet. They are also hard wearing making them the perfect choice for little people!

Excellent pair we chose for school, wash well in the washing machine and stay white and dry fast.We started with the contend elastic lacers so it was easy and fast to get ready for school and we were happy to find each sizes as they grew US 1, 2, 3. Now we upgraded to US4 contend 7 with classic lacers which is perfect to adjust on feet (lacers don’t come undone easily)Excellent quality, light weight and I am sure comfortable since they are the ones my child wants to wear at all times.

I find that these ASICS school shoes provide the best value for money for my son. He is required to have black runners for school and therefore wears them 5 days per week - running extensively each day.When they are on sale at Myer this helps :)
This is the third pair of Contend ive bought for my daughter. She wears them to school and has never found any other trainer she likes so much. Great quality trainer. Goes through washing machine easily.
We bought these shoes for my son for school and are very pleased with the level of comfort and support as well as how light weight they are. My younger son had a very similar pair last year that literally lasted him over a year (when our previous experience with trainers is one school terms with of wear before they are scuffed and worn beyond functionality). I gave them a 4/5 star rating as they seem a bit slippery on the bottom of the shoe on wet, smooth surfaces, but perhaps I am being overly critical as the grip/ tread on the bottom of the shoes seems good! Rebel also price matched these shoes when I found them on sale elsewhere, so a great price for the quality of shoe. Thank you!
Love these new Asics. My nephew loves them and is very comfortable wearing them. He's very active so it was important to get a good pair and for that price you just have to get them. They're well made and I feel they will last which is why I like Asics brand shoes.
We purchased these for my son's sports shoes as he just started prep this year. I am a big fan of Asics and wanted a supportive shoe for his growing fit. My son usually wears Bobux and he has asked to wear his Asics runners everyday rather than just sports day as they are so comfy and they make him go super fast :)
These are great school shoes. Comfy, not too chunky or impractical. But they stand up so well to the bashings of a little boy - mine outgrows then rather than outwears. These are his 4th pair (we’ve gone from the velcro ones in the same model to laces) and I’m always happy to replace them with the same again when he’s ready for the next size.
My boys don't like wearing the full leather shoes so these sports shoes are a good happy-medium. I had the same last year. They didn't quite last the full year (bear in mind we also had time off school because of COVID that year) but my boys are really active and play sports during every break and lunch time so I thought they lasted really well, especially for the price.
