ASICS Men's GEL-Nimbus 26 (2E Wide) - Running Shoes - Sheet Rock/Thunder Blue 16

I really, really wanted to love this but they caused me a lot of pain. Initially putting them on, they were extremely comfortable and I liked the feel and style of them. After taking them on a test run, these might be the worst shoes I have ever put on my feet. My calves and feet were killing me after two minutes, and I ended up with pretty bad shin splints for the next week or so.This is partly my fault, these just weren't the shoes for my feet. I have pretty normal arches, but I do overpronate (landing on the outer side of my foot and rolling inwards). Thankfully I was able to return these in store and get fitted for a more appropriate shoe. The associate said these shoes are best for people with neutral feet. I have been wearing Asics for years. I recently had surgery for Plantar Fasciitis and was having difficulty being on my feet for long hours since the surgery. I have spent so much money on shoes that were recommended to me by the podiatrist that did my surgery, with no relief. I bought gel nimbus 2E 8.5 men’s just 2 weeks ago. I have been wearing gel nimbus for over 10 years and they are terrific comfortable shoes. Number 26 is the best fit and more comfortable than any others in the range. The snugg fit around the ankle and the softness is amazing. I also like the finger loop at the heel. This makes it so easy to get shoes on. I am a woman with very wide feet. I have a neuroma on my left sole and always had to wear orthotics before I found the wonderful gel nimbus shoes. I didn’t need to wear the orthotic with gel nimbus which saves me a huge amount of money each year. I normally 3 pairs at once. Congratulations on making an amazingly stylish and comfortable shoe.
