As a pronator I find the GT 2000 very comfortable, it is a very versatile running shoe and convinces from the first second. The GT offers a light, good stability experience. It's definitely a running shoe that suits a variety of runners. I run and hike in the GT in both snow and mountains and am very impressed that the shoe's non-slip sole makes it just as good for snow running. However, this is optional. Despite everything, it is advisable to remain cautious and avoid icy surfaces.

I needed new shoes for my complicated feet. As I had great experiences with ASICS before I have been happy to find a good looking shoe in a wider version. I bought this sneaker in a size 8.5 both regular and wide widths. They are true to size. The regular were too narrow for him but the wide width fits him perfectly. He absolutely loves these sneakers and is so happy that they had a wide width option. He has worn them every day since receiving them and has had absolutely no complaints and is constantly telling me how great they are; light weight and good cushion underfoot, and I think they look great! Highly recommend!!
Ordered the wide version of the GT-2000 11. It's just "okay" . It was half price($50). I probably would not buy it at regular price. It's a bit stiff for running so i'm just using them for walking for now.The quality of Asics has deteriorated over the years. I’m no connoisseur, but I’ve been running for over 40 years and know what works for me. I’ve been wearing the GT-2000 for the last 10 years, and its predecessors for 9 years before that. I’ve used the GT-2000 v11 for a couple of weeks, and so far I think it may be the most comfortable running shoe I’ve ever used. It provides good support for my low arches, nice stability for my ankles, and feels noticeably lighter than previous versions of this model.My only concern at this point is the durability of the uppers. I tend to wear running shoes for longer than is probably recommended, and my pinky toes have worn through the uppers on all previous versions of the GT-2000 I’ve owned. We’ll see what happens down the line, but so far I’ve been very pleased with this shoe.
The Asics GT-2000 11 running shoe is a solid performer. It's a neutral shoe with adequate cushioning that provides the user with a smooth ride. The mesh upper keeps your feet cool and dry (as long as you're not running in a heavy rain). I've found that the mesh upper molds to your foot shape (per the Asics adverts). Further the toe box is wide enough to accommodate an average-width foot while wearing Wigwam Ironman Thunder Low socks. The verdict is currently out on the durability of the outsole. Finally, the "11s" are currently on sale; you ought to be able to get into a pair for less than $100.
I have bought many Asics over the years but the quality has dropped significantly recently. The shoe I ordered was a 12 4E but it was extremely tight all around. It felt at least a half size small and not close to a 4E (2E at best). I ordered New Balance in the same size (12 4E) and the fit was perfect. I ordered directly from Asics and they charged me to return and the process was awful.
I ordered Black and white running shoes size 8 1/2. The next day I received two shoes that were different colors and different sizes. When I called for a return they said I would have to buy a second pair of shoes and ship the first pair back. I would receive a refund for the first pair after five days. I cannot believe Dicks does not have some sort of policy in place to check the shoes before sending them out. I tried to place the order for the second pair of shoes, but they said they couldn't take my first payment which was PayPal over the phone. Who is designing these policies? I gave this product one star, because there is no option for 0 stars. I will not be shopping at Dicks again and neither should you.
These are decent shoes, better fit for me than other brands. However, I would really recommend ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus 25 Running Shoes. The Gel-Nimbus 25 Running Shoes are the most comfortable walking and running shoes I have ever found. They have lots of cushioning (more than any other brand Academy sells, even their other top-of-the-line shoes), sufficient arch support, and give a spring in my step.
