An absolute do it all shoe!!! IMO PERFECT!!!

I have to admit I’m a shoe junky and am constantly on the lookout for the perfect shoe (I.e. light, comfortable, responsive, supportive, stable, fast, good for recovery runs). For me, this is the shoe! It just absolutely checks all of the boxes for me. The only thing I can’t entirely attest to is durability, but from some other reviews, and the construct of the shoe, I’m optimistic there also. Personal preference, but I also really like the color combos. I don’t think this is the shoe that I’d necessarily choose on a 10K race day where I’m shooting for my PB, but it’s not a slouch in that regard either. Again, personal preference, but the shoe runs just a bit big which is perfect in my situation. I technically am a size 13 1/2 and this shoe fits me perfectly.

SuperBlast are my first ever pair of ASICS and they are an amazing runner. I am a US11 and they fit true to size perfectly for me. Instant comfort, my first run was super smooth, stable and soft. The return has great bounce for me although I wouldn’t say spring for me, however the combination of soft, nice bounce and smooth transition make this shoe pretty close to perfect. My rotation is Alphafly and Bondi 8. The Superblast has way more stability than the Alpha’s and now my Bondi’s feel like hiking boots. I’ve encouraged anyway who asks to get themselves are pair. Beautiful runners as per the headline.

Dear Asics, don't ever stop making these!

The moment I put these on, I fell in love. Not only are they gorgeous (mineral/beige, seriously the design execution is a 10/10), but the stack height and feel is perfect. I wouldn't hate more stack height, even (I want to be taller haha). It feels slightly tight near the "knuckles" of my toes, but I suspect they will probably loosen up a bit. Adding some more flex to the upper may be a good idea for the next version.Otherwise, DO NOT CHANGE A THING!!! I don't want these to every not be available for purchase.I may buy a second pair just to have a stash in my closet when the first pair is all worn out.

Great shoe, with a minor flaw

Quite a revolutionary shoe: I have tried loads of high cushion maximalist shoes, but the Superblast is a different beast. It really works for a variety of paces, including recovery and tempo and it is super kind on tired legs. None of the other max cushion shoes I tried leave the legs so fresh, they either feel mushy and provide no energy return or unstable at very slow pace, leaving my inside ankle hurting for a few hours after the run, which defeat the original purpose of a recovery run.The midsole in the Superblast is firm enough to make the ride stable and responsive without being harsh. And it achieves this without a plate.I only wished for a better lockdown, especially in the midfoot area. It's not a concern and probably due to my very narrow feet. It's ... MoreQuite a revolutionary shoe: I have tried loads of high cushion maximalist shoes, but the Superblast is a different beast. My shoe of the year
26 September 2023

This is hands down my favorite running shoe of all time. I owned 5 pairs of Nike running shoes and returned some and sold some because of this shoe. It has replaced about 2-3 pairs in my running shoe rotation and literally owned all Asics now. The price is justified due to how versatile it is. I am so shocked how light this shoe felt with such a high stack. I actually consider this a supershoe. From recovery, easy, short and long tempos, 200m-1000m reps and from 10k- marathons, this shoe can do it all. The ride is quite fun and bouncy but not squishy like ZoomX which gave me knee pain and my arches collapsed in long runs as fatigue kicked in. The Superblast keeps its foam integrity in long runs which keeps my foot from collapsing inward. My legs aren't toast the ... MoreThis is hands down my favorite running shoe of all time. This is flat foot friendly because of its wide platform from a neutral shoe. Don't change a thing ASICS, please!

The perfect all rounder
19 August 2023

Asics have literally knocked this one out of the park. First off, there isn’t a better looking runner out there. The colourways all look great, the chunky midsole suiting every colour. The quality of materials is far beyond rivals, these feel durable, comfortable and lightweight which is a hard mix to achieve. The upper is supportive yet flexible enough to remain comfortable and the laces are great for achieving the perfect lockdown. The main selling point however, is of course the midsole foam. It’s responsive and bouncy without feeling like you have to run at maximum speed. It’s comfortable and soft enough to wear for recovery runs too. I’m no slower in these than a carbon plated shoe and to be honest, this shoe just doesn’t need any carbon. It’s the perfect balance between firmness, spring and comfort.I did buy my usual size 10.5 (gel nimbus 25 are 10.5) and felt the toe box was super roomy when I tried them on, but read that I should stick with it. After a few runs I just feel it’s a bit too roomy (I have very narrow, slim feet) and ASICS are so good that they accepted a return on my USED superblast which allowed me to purchase a size 10 (0.5 down).Fantastic shoe and even better customer service. As a long time user of a rival brand, I am now fully converted.

Uber sports sedan of Asics running shoes
12 June 2023

I have been training with different Asics shoes including the Novablast 3, the Nimbus 25 and the metaspeed Edge+; I find the Superblast to be a magical combination of all of these three shoes. It manages to be extraordinarily comfortable and yet gives the ability to pick up the tempo without feeling squishy or spongy. It is surprisingly light for all that magical material stuffed into it. Very stable, very good looking, very comfortable. Possibly the best all around running shoe from Asics or anyone else. I prefer it to the Metaspeed because it is so much more comfortable. It's like a very capable sports sedan without the disadvantages of being a hyper focused and therefore less than comfortable sports car. A+++

Very good all round shoe
24 August 2023

I have worn Nike shoes for a bout 5 years but have been looking for something different for a while. I have bought other brands of shoes that I now only use for walking in but after seeing some good reviews for these I decided to give them a try, having the 90 day try and return option makes the decision easy. I have to say I'm very impressed so far, over 60 km ran in them and they seem to be getting better the more I run in them, they are very comfortable straight out of the box though. Problem I have with Nike is durability and I'm hoping these are a lot better in that respect and I think they will be, very slight problem with the sole is getting stones stuck in the tread. I've already ran varied types of run and I'm impressed how they cope, you don't notice you are either running in an everyday training shoe or a racing shoe, I might not wear them in a 10k race but HM or marathon I would consider them whereas some shoes in this class I wouldn't.

Works for my flat feet
22 July 2023

I previously used the now discontinued DS Trainers for about 21 years before switching to the Novablast 2. They were great but offered little no stability for my ultra-flat feet. Fast forward and the Superblast was released. After watching some shoe vlogger's talk about the shoes, they sounded to be more stable than the Novablast, despite the higher stack. As a pretty severe over pronator, I can say they have worked well for me (currently have 145 miles logged). Speed work, long runs, recovery. Very, very versatile shoe. Not to say this will work for all overpronators but they've worked well for me and are fun to run in. Can't say that about most shoes.

light, stable, and well cushioned

After years of running in Brooks I've switched to Asics. I regularly run in Novablast 3's and alternate into Metaspeed Sky+ and Edge+ when I want a different experience (I'm at ~300 miles across them all so far).I'm just 20 miles into the Superblast and so far I'm really enjoying them. To me they feel quite similar to the Novablast 3, but lighter. I actually need to take both out with me for an upcoming run to switch pairs after a few miles to get a better back to back experience. The only issue I've found is they tend to run a tad large. I've typically always run in men's 9.5 in Brooks, Nike, etc. For Asics in general I feel like they're all .5 size larger. I've actually ordered another pair in men's 9 to see if that feels better (especially when using thinner socks).
