These shoes helped me recover from heel pain I was having due to other running shoes not designed for pronation. These shoes helped correct my foot contact during daily short runs while I was recovering. They have a somewhat stretchy fabric upper so my feet felt like they have room to expand yet the fit is stable as the textured laces keep the foot well placed and supported in the shoe with no slipping. The trade off with textured laces is that tightening and loosening need a bit more attention to get in and out of the shoe but the support is worth it. The sole of the shoe spreads wider than the fabric upper which is good for stability. I like the color which I would describe as khaki as an overall impression.

I am a huge fan of the Kayano series. They have been my most reliable shoe that I buy again and again. I run pretty regularly (around 5 times a week, with some long distance running - a total of 150 km a month) and I slightly over pronate. The Kayano series always helps to combat any form-related knee pain that I would usually experience with neutral shoes. This is my first time buying the Kayano lite version, and I love them. They feel amazing and, as always with ASICS shoes, are ready to go straight out of the box. They feel light and springy, while still very supportive. They are lighter than the normal Kayano, which makes feel a tiny bit faster. I strongly recommend these shoes, especially if you over pronate. The colors are great too :)

I LOVED the Kayano lite 2s. Had run in multiple pairs of them after being properly fitted by a local running store. The gel Kayano 3s fit totally different for me. Felt like it had extra unneeded room in width of shoe. Gave me a very painful callus on my right foot, as I guess my foot moved around too much as I ran. I can no longer find the Kayano lite 2s in my size anywhere. I wish I would have stocked up on those.

I offer two stars due to the fact that one shoe arrived without an insole, and I had to hound ASICS repeatedly for three weeks to receive any resolution (during which I was regularly ignored and ghosted by their customer service despite promises to call me back). We also dealt with a customer service representative on the phone who literally didn't know what an insole was, and kept asking us to explain it to them (we tried, to no avail...). After three weeks of wrangling with customer service, ASICS informed me that they would be sending a replacement pair, as they don't have replacement insoles (seriously?). Shortly after that, I got an email saying that the model I'd originally bought was out of stock, so they couldn't send a replacement. Shortly after that, I got an email saying that the model I'd originally bought was out of stock, so they couldn't send a replacement. They did refund me the purchase price of the shoes, which I appreciated. But I still don't have an insole for the left shoe. I'm currently borrowing an insole from an older pair of shoes, and running with mismatched insoles. It's better than nothing, and my first run with the Kayano Lite 3s was genuinely great. Still, the customer service fiasco was the worst I have ever dealt with with any company. I'm likely going to be switching brands for a while until ASICS sorts out its horrendous customer service. I hope that one day I can give them another shot, but it just feels too risky for now. It's a shame, because ASICS makes great shoes (when all the pieces arrive...)
I normally wear regular Asics Kayano running shoes (have done for years), but have found the last 2 versions (28 & 29) feel a bit on the clumpy side, and version 29 feels too softly cushioned in the forefoot, so I thought I'd try these. SUCCESS ! Today was their first use, and bar the usual stopping to fine tune the lacing on a first wear in new model shoes, I was delighted with them. I have fairly narrow feet but these fit really well. I would caution you to try first, if you have wide feet or a thick forefoot. On first putting them on they felt like the heel was slipping but in running use there was nothing to worry about. I ordered my normal Kayano size, and they were perfect (in some other models I have found I need to size down 1/2 a size). The don't offer quite the support of the Gel-Kayano, but if like me you need a support shoe because its ankle wobbliness that causes the stability issue, then I recommend the Kayano Lite. Give it a try.
I was a former runner and developed a disability in my 50's which only allows me to walk fast with a fair amount of nerve pain. This shoe does a great job in helping me accomplish this. Lots of nice, usable, functional cushion but it doesn't feel like an orthopedic shoe. Good grip in bad weather also. I try to go around 2 miles in all weather. Very pleased with them. Was mostly using trailrunners previously.
Bought over the internet via ASICS website for pronation. Bought three pairs to alternate shoes throughout the week. Unfortunately, my PT assessed the shoes and did not think that they are a good fit for me. Too much movement in the forefoot area and not enough heel stability. A lot of play in the shoe. I’ve worn the shoes, alternating for three weeks. Called ASICS and they are not return eligible because they have been worn. Disappointed! Lesson learned, buy from your local running shoe store as shoes that don’t work for you are returnable.
Been using the gel kayanos since 2008 I would say. I would wear them for cross country and track practice and they would last a good year with all the miles ran. I liked the kayano because of the stability given in them: I rolled my ankle from soccer and some runs had uneven ground. Loved that I could always count on this style. Recently I had to buy a new pair and the style is different when I plant my foot, but it’s still good. I just think it’s the material. Bravo for the company to be investing into sustainability, I would also suggest they make an option with the older gel style at the bottom
I chose these shoes due to reviews recommending them for sturdy all-round running use. They fulfill this use-case perfectly. I am only an amateur runner aiming to keep fit and improve my times by myself and these suit me perfectly as they are light, comfortable and never come undone. Where I usually run has some especially slippery surfaces and these deal with that far better than my previous pair.
I understand that this is a stability model but I was really hoping for a less "chunky" feel. I had read other reviews that this was more of a neutral stability type of shoe but for me it felt extremely stable and was not "smooth" transitioning throughout my stride. I would say even when I landed in the midfoot it felt like it smacked flat hard and didn't "roll"/ "transition" to the toe well. If you strike in the midfoot or heel I don't think this shoe is a good fit for you. I'll use this shoe for faster paced easy runs (1 minute slower than goal pace) and temp/ speed work but it will be used to save my other shoes.
