The product is exactly as expected, but I do not think it’s fair to judge CCL on just the products as they are mostly a distributor for the parts. To me it’s more about the service you get from them which is absolutely fantastic. They take the time to go through all the parts you want / need and tell you if there are better parts or if there is an issue with parts you wish to fit together. They will give unbiased help and advice on components and will suggest different parts if they think they are better for your set up. You can even give them a budget for a PC build and they will go through every part to see if it will make the best build for you. This is one very caring company and I will always go to them first for any parts I need.

So let me preface this by saying I run a small tech channel and have built over 50 pcs in for myself and others. New platform adoption is always going to be rife with technical issues, and this review is not a reflection on Asrock who I have used many times with no issue. This is just a heads up for those who may face some of the same issues. On installing the new cpu and ram (Patriot Viper 3733 CL 17 - Which is supported) I went to do a fresh install of windows but was getting BSOD randomly before I could start or finish it. Eventually I swapped out ram for my Gskill Trident Z 3200 CL16 and it fixed the problem right away (The service exception error code is what I got and it typically means hardware issues, in this case ram) and it worked right away. So after un seating and re-seating the GPU I got my video input back then I did a bios update as apparently Asrock is aware of the ram and bios issues and has already released a new bios version. All in all about 6 hours of troubleshooting and fixing it. I adopted Ryzen when it first came out a few years back as I was willing to give it chance, as I was a kid 10 years ago when AMD could compete against intel. The 370 chipset had a HUGE amount of issues but as a tech enthusiast you just grit through it. I was able to resolve my issue because I knew what to look for and had the expertise and experience to work through the issue, but if this had happened to a casual pc gamer or builder they would of most likely not been able to resolve it resulting in RMA, or a return.

Except for the SB I'm having a really good time with my setup overall. RGB was easy for this first timer to RGB to set up with Deep Cool case and water cooler. Once I get things squared away and working properly I'm going to look into the SB and see if there is someway to cool it down. Another selling point was surround outs. I have Logitec Surround speakers. I've been using Asrock MBs since my first Phenom build and almost went with a MSI this time. But I was happy to find a board in my price range with features I wanted/didn't want from a manufacturer I know. "This review for ASRock review rebate program."

A very well-designed board on a socket on AM4. If you do not want to overpay for an am5 socket on which there are not so many modern boards yet and everything is quite expensive and you are satisfied with the performance of 8 or 12 cores. Feel free to take this board, it will show an excellent result

Bad layout, cheap feeling

Let´s start with the good. It´s an X570 so it has PCIe 4 and supports Ryzen 3rd gen out of the box. ALC 1220 and Intel LAN. 4 case fan connectors, 1 pump connector. For the rest, it did not impressed me much. Poor bios structure, options hard to find and not user friendly names if you want to configure geek things for your CPU and RAM.The layout of the board is poorly designed, GPU is too close to the CPU, so if you have a big CPU cooler you are going to have problems fitting the GPU. Additionally, the GPU sits on top of the M2 heatsink and, if your GPU is big, it will sometimes clash with the M2 heatsink, provoking the M2 disk to overheat and lose performance.I do not recommend this buy. Great solid motherboard,
22 April 2020

My previous gaming computer also had an Asrock motherboard. It lasted 10 years and was still going strong, so I wanted to stick with a brand I trusted and I trust Asrock. This board is awesome, not only has killer looks, but also has killer specs.. So far it is worked great, and I am very satisfied and impressed. At this price It is one heck of a great deal. I paired it with an AMD RYZEN 5 3600X 6-Core 3.8 GHz, an Asrock RX5600XT graphics card, a Sabrent Rocket Q 2TB M.2 PCIe SSD and 32MB (2 x 16) OLOy Warhawk DDR4 3200 RAM Put my old 3TB Hard drive in for storage and hoorah got a nice gamer going. I highly recommend this motherboard.

Happy overall
20 July 2019

Achieved my full ram speed without incident 4x16GB 3200MHz 16-18-18-38 G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB Very happy with that as Ram was performance was a big concern. South-bridge fan not as loud as feared, and comes with a Silent profile, however the fan placement is poor (60% blocked by a standard GPU) and it runs hot 160-165F even under light load. Would buy a passive heatsink option even if it blocked a lower PCI slot. Ryzen 3700x is performing stable and above expectations. Heat sinks don't block my large CPU fan (Scythe Ninja).

Not for wide/long graphic cards or big CPU coolers
5 January 2021

In detail:+ The motherboard did already have BIOS v2.80, which posted on the second attempt with a AMD Ryzen 59xx CPU allowing a proper BIOS update (first time failed, worked after a full power cycle). Only the CPU, cooler, graphic card and USB keyboard were connected (no hdd/ssd/nvme).- A big graphic card will cover a lot of things it should not, see the negatives. Very good case cooling / airflow design is needed.- A big CPU cooler such as a Noctua NH-D15 will touch the graphic card. Need a card with a protector backplate to avoid "surprises".- The M.2 shield is a single piece and slot No.1 sits right under your graphic card. Adding a second nvme card later is a major pain, you may need to take out the graphic card too. The chipset and its fan is in the wrong place, gets too close to the graphics card (under the card for a wide one).- The SATA port numbering did not match the order of the disks reported by BIOS or later in the OS (Linux). I hope this one will NOT get fixed :( May cause a lot of confusion if you are migrating or using multiple disks/SSDs of different types for specific purposes. This seems to be a repeating problem with AsRock motherboards (already owned one from another series).Very poor design (layout) for powerful desktops, should do fine with lower-end (smaller) components. Would prefer the designers thinking with their brains instead of addin LED connectors. Overall build quality seems to be OK.

So far so good paired with Ryzen 3900x
6 August 2019

I've had an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Mobo for several years now and always liked it so decided to go with ASRock again for my first venture into Ryzen. I am happy with everything so far. I was a little worried about the chipset fan being loud, especially since it is half blocked by GPU, but it is quiet, and everything has worked well so far. Hope they continue with quick BIOS updates as the platform matures. Overall seems like a great bang for the buck for an X570 motherboard. This review is for the ASRock review rebate program.

Teething issues with new Ryzen processors
20 September 2019

Just installed this board with a 3700x processor. It refuses to allow me into the bios (an issue AsRock are aware of). Thankfully I'm running it stock, but its annoying not to be able to tune it even a little. The boot order menu still worked, but that was it.The M.2 southbridge cooler is a bit irksome. The fan sits exactly under the video card with about 1mm clearance, so is going to be next to useless. The cooler is also attached to the motherboard with a tiny 4 pin plug with a very short cable. You have to remove it to install the m.2 drives, re-attaching it afterwards is a pain. Finally asrock need to learn from other firms for the pin headers and include a seperate block which can be used where you can see it, as opposed to directly onto the board.A ... MoreJust installed this board with a 3700x processor.
