I've been looking for a curved treadmill for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and got the Assault Runner Pro. It came fast and was SUPER easy to set up! It works great! I've been using it everyday doing HIIT style runs on it. It saves my knees and I can run as fast as I want without having to deal with buttons or motors. The only con I've noticed is that the belt is heavier than most I've run on so it takes a second to get up to speed and takes a little slower to come down. Not a big deal, just something to think about.I think this is the best deal you can get and it's a phenomenal product. I'm 6'2" and 240lbs. I don't go easy on it and consistently sprint up to around 15-17mph. It's held up great and I've had ZERO issues! It comes with a 100,000 mile belt ... MoreI've been looking for a curved treadmill for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and got the Assault Runner Pro. I do about 1 mile before my workouts and I workout about 3-4 times a week. I'll never hit that many miles, lol. The next one up is lifetime warranty, but I essentially have the same thing.I recommend this to EVERYONE and even my kids love running on it!

I am a triathlete and I’ve been looking at purchasing a non motorized treadmill for quite some time and decided to go with the AssaultRunner Pro after reading the reviews and comparisons of the AssaultRunner to other non motorized treadmills. I really like that it has a Bluetooth monitor and links with Zwift and it was a tad more affordable than similar treadmills. The treadmill seems well made and very sturdy. Like other such treadmills it is a large piece of equipment so make sure you have the room for it but the wheels on the front of the AssaultRunner make it easy to move the treadmill around, a great feature! In addition to giving me the freedom to fit in my run workouts anytime, I think that running on the AssaultRunner is helping me work on my running ... MoreI am a triathlete and I’ve been looking at purchasing a non motorized treadmill for quite some time and decided to go with the AssaultRunner Pro after reading the reviews and comparisons of the AssaultRunner to other non motorized treadmills. I have had the AssaultRunner Pro for over a month now and below are my thoughts:1. I prefer it over an electrical-based treadmill. I would never go back.2. I am nearing 50 years old and I now prefer the curved concept. It is so much better on my joints and muscles after 36+years of fitness.3. If you can't run in a straight line, then this is not the treadmill for you. Certain reviews mention that the belt is too narrow. I have not found this to be an issue at all, and I am a big guy with size 12.5 feet. I would submit that folks that can't run on this belt should work really hard on their running gait given they may have very poor running efficiency when it comes to running in a straight line.4. The treadmill sits about 8-10 inches higher than most plug-in ... MoreI have had the AssaultRunner Pro for over a month now and below are my thoughts:1. The treadmill sits about 8-10 inches higher than most plug-in models. Keep this in mind with garage positioning. For example, I placed mine between my two garage doors because I am too tall to run on the TM with the garage doors open.5. I love that you can immediately start running on the TM as so as you step on it. No waiting for the TM to turn on, boot-up, etc.6. The belt is smooth and easy to run on. I actually love how I control the pace and tempo as opposed to the belt controlling it.7. No increased costs to my electric bill is awesome.8. Beyond the height of my garage door, I love how my TM is not limited to be placed next to an electrical outlet.I would never go back to an electrical treadmill after owning the Assault Treadmill.PS- I have seen some issues about the shipper and the TM arriving beat up. That was not my experience. It arrived just fine. The shipper was in constant contact with me and the shipping container was extremely secure with a lot of wood used to protect the TM. I had a very good shipping experience too.

The Assault air-runner has been sitting high on my wishlist for sometime - took a while to convince the wife it was a "must have" for the home gym! Purchased it during GAF's end of FY sales and I'm glad I did. This thing is a beast - I personally feel it's well constructed & is capable of handling anything you're going to throw at it - really looking forward to putting the air-runner through it "paces"! The service I received from the team was simply perfect. "T" even out helped out with additional savings, which I most appreciated as we have to admit, this thing is not cheap - BUT definitely worth every penny! Shipping was also super quick - I ordered the air-runner late on a Thursday afternoon and it arrived 10am Tuesday morning. The macine itself is a beast and demanding to run on, much more than outdoor running. My issue is with customer service. The runner came with the plastic covers on one side within a hair of rubbing on the the belt and a nice gap on the other side. I contact the company and they say to file a warranty claim and they will send someone out. A month passes, nothing. I contact them again and they send me a schematic of how to disassemble and reassemble the whole runner and say “that can happen in shipping, bye”. So, I have to take a part this brand new, very expensive apparatus, hope I follow the highlights on the schematic and not mess anything up. I haven’t gotten around to fixing it, so it’s getting minimum use till I muster the courage. I wouldn’t care if a $20 abmat ... MoreThe macine itself is a beast and demanding to run on, much more than outdoor running. My issue is with customer service. One more minimal thing is that the belt scuffed up (shoe marks) with the first few runs, which I found odd for the 150k mile warranty, but it is meant to be run on. I’ll try to fix it this weekend and hope for the best.
The team at G&F were excellent. Professional. Clear communication and quick shipping. Helpful with after sales support with faulty monitor. The bottom half of the treadmill itself is excellent. I held off for a long time due to the price but don't regret it now. Assembly was easy and less than 1 hour. It's very stable and feels much nicer than cheap hotel treadmills. I use it for intervals/crossfit workouts and middle distance runs (up to 10km). I feel like my running technique has improved significantly with it. It has a big footprint as you would expect but i don't find moving it any more awkward than an assault bike.My main gripe is with the monitor. It's woefully simple compared to a concept PM5 which I had read on other reviews. Not a deal breaker but a ... MoreThe team at G&F were excellent. Professional. My monitor was also dead on arrival but luckily I'm driving distance to the showroom so getting a replacement was simple. It just reinforced my feelings about the lightweight feel of the monitor. This was my 3rd machine for my home gym (C2 rower and bikeerg). I wouldn't buy it for a first or solo piece of gear but it's been a great addition to my home gym and no excuses not to run if its raining heavily or if I'm home alone with kids when they're sleep.
The Assault Runner Pro is very high quality and is an incredibly well built machine. There is no wobbling or shaking even when I’m at a full sprint. It is also very quiet when in use. The display is very informative and the programming is easy to navigate. Assembly of the treadmill was very easy, and only took about 30 minutes. It is more challenging running on this treadmill than my previous motorized equipment. I’ve had to adjust my expectations of my performance but am already seeing noticeable improvements. The Assault Runner Pro is having a huge impact on my workouts.
This is by far my most prized cardio piece of equipment. With this, my cardio equipment purchases are now all complete (with the exception of one last piece). I was apprehensive spending this much money at first, so I watched to see when and if it would go on sale. I was surprised to see that not even during the Black Friday/Christmas holidays did it go on sale. So after watching all the holidays for a year, I caught it on a July 4th Sale and decided to immediately pull the trigger and jump on it. Glad I did! Now, rain or shine. Too hot or too cold - I can run or power-walk whenever I want! It comes in handy too after a meal when taking a night walk isn't feasible. What great joy this brings as I will have this well built piece of equipment for the rest of my life. ... MoreThis is by far my most prized cardio piece of equipment. I already have a regular stationary bike, as well as an assault bike (by Rogue) and I plan to get a (Concept2) rower. I believe in getting the equipment that the company is best known for and in case of the assault runner, its Assault Fitness! Steven in customer Service was AWESOME!!!!! Can't speak highly enough of this guy.
I have been a longtime fan of the woodway curve. I used it 5-6 times a week for over 8 years at my local gym. Averaging 5-10 miles each run. I decided to find one for home use when I moved as the gym was further away. I read great things about the assault runner pro so I purchased one without trying it first. Ive had it for over a month. It is similar to the woodway curve, but as expected for the price definitely not as good as the woodway - most notably the sound. It is EXTREMELY loud. It sounds very rickety for lack of a better word. It feels sturdy but the multitude of random gums squeak and rattling sounds generated when stepping on the machine are very hard to deal with. I cannot even play music loud enough that will drown out the sound without upsetting the ... MoreI have been a longtime fan of the woodway curve. This treadmill is great, but I get tired of reading this "you burn more calories on a curved treadmill". This leaves out a key addenda. You burn more calories "at a given pace". Presumably you have an effort that you run regardless of venue and if a curved manual treadmill is harder, you are going to slow down to accommodate it. Running uphill "burns more calories" than running downhill, but if you are climbing a steep hill, you slow down to preserve the effort, thus also equalizing the energy demand. If you were capable of running harder, you'd be doing it already. So it is dumb to say "if you want to burn more calories, just do all your running uphill" because you are just going to slow down to equalize the effort to flat ground.
