Could be less if you're quick at finding the bots since the game overall isn't too tough.

If you've played the VR Playroom it's an expansion of the Robot Rescue game but much, much bigger. It's a bit repetitive as I find myself playing the same levels over and over trying to find all of the robots and chameleons but so far it's not getting old for me.The game is challenging but not so hard if your goal is to progress through the story without collecting everything there is to collect. I should be able to finish the game with all trophies. Trophies are all hidden but you can find a list online. With all of the survival-horror games that I've been playing recently, this was a refreshing change of pace. The only downside that I see so far is that I'll probably beat it in less than 3 weeks, and with all of the repetition of doing the levels multiple times I'll probably put this away when I finish it and not play it again for quite a while. Realistically you should be able to finish the game with all accomplishments in 20 hours or so, maybe even less. Still worth the current price tag of $40, in my opinion. A great way to introduce people to VR that haven't experienced it yet. My first experience after setting up my PSVR was playing VR Playroom and Astro Bot Rescue Mission already gives me a sense of nostalgia

Closest to Having Disney Dark Rides in Your Home
8 March 2019

Aside from being the great platformer that it is, ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission is great escapist fair and (I cannot emphasize this enough) a _must-own_ for PSVR.If PSVR launched with ABRM, then we may have been talking about it in similar context as the Wii in 2006.ABRM maximizes, packages and stylizes the limits of the PSVR with a healthy dose of whimsy. The experience is similar to a host of Disney dark rides, e.g. Peter Pan's Flight, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, and even Haunted Mansion. To say this is heir apparent to games like Super Mario 64 would be putting things mildly.I am late to picking up PSVR, but, so far, this is the only game for a borderline "VR-Luddite" worth having.

While many games look pretty cool in VR, many don't hold up as games you'd want to KEEP playing. Astro Bot Rescue Mission is a game that couldn't exist without VR, and hides it's awesomeness behind a ridiculous name that made me pass it by several times, until a review convinced me to give it a go. I'm SO GLAD I DID! It's intensely charming, easy to play (but difficult to 100%), and is delightful for young and old alike. The game is so dang clever about how you use the VR, use your controller with it's motion-sensing, and how you use the VR to look around the world in FULL 3D. In short, it's a blast to play and I loved every new level with it's new creative ideas that wowed me over and over.Just be warned...you'll look silly looking around the room and reaching ... MoreWhile many games look pretty cool in VR, many don't hold up as games you'd want to KEEP playing. Wonderful game, that is well crafted and whimsical. I was grinning ear to ear each step of the way. While a shorter game 4-6hrs main play through it well worth the asking price. You will easily double that playtime if you do the additional challenge levels and content. Lots to do.It's a game that must be experienced, since describing it or watching previews on flat screens doesn't do it justice. Most VR games are like that, but this one especially so. After God of War, and Spiderman I would easily put this among them for game of the year contender. It does so much with the medium. It's rare for me when a game gets better each level you progress. As noted in some of the more professional gaming news websites and videos, as well as some less-than professional editorials, this video game is the best way for one to be introduced to the world of virtual reality. There's no motion sickness and no need to move one's body in order to play, though there are times when the controller's rotation becomes inaccurate over time and does tend to ruin the immersion of the game.Additionally, while the avatar may move about the game level, the POV character is rather difficult to move backwards when one misses a particular item or objective, though there is some replay value in going again. Speaking of, there are some smaller quests where one is able to build up their own collection of Astro Bots to interact and relive some ... MoreAs noted in some of the more professional gaming news websites and videos, as well as some less-than professional editorials, this video game is the best way for one to be introduced to the world of virtual reality. However, trying to get more coins to acquire said pieces are rather monotonous and grinding if one isn't moving forward in the campaign. All and all, a worthy single-player experience worth sharing with others.

I got this game for a really good deal on the Days of Play sale, coupled with my lingering (and soon expiring!) Gamers Club Unlocked membership. I knew it always had great reviews, but an overall short playtime. So, I told myself I wouldn't pay full price for this, but would get if I got it on a good sale price.Wow, I really stood myself up. Guys, if a "short" playtime (number of hours to beat) is throwing you off from getting this - even at full price - please don't let it! The experience well more than makes up for this AND there are some challenge levels you get by finding the hidden Chameleons throughout the various regular levels that really add onto the gameplay experience and add even more time to the game.Don't make the same mistake I did.
