BSOD right out of the box. I tried updating all drivers which made zero difference. I was very excited to have found a 3070 with a pretty good CPU, but literally everything else in this rig is low quality. The CPU cooler sounds like a jet engine, theres no room in the case for any additional fans (it comes with 1 case fan???). I tried to exchange this for another unit, but now they are out of stock. So basically I wait 6 weeks for nothing and completely waste my time. Dont make the same mistake.

Couldnt play any games for more than 3 minutes at a time. Once fans ramped up and clock increased the card caused the system to crash and freeze. The graphics card also looked used when I took a look at it. Very shady. Ive seen a few reviews about the gpu being doa which leads me to believe they are using old second hand miner cards. Nice. I RMAd mine.

< 1 week of use, will update later. Overall sturdy construction, nice design. Not much to look at through the side panel. But having only ever had solid boxes its not bad. Havent had any issues with speeds yet, though really havent taxed it either. The built in 5G WiFi works great and the downloads and installs of software go quickly. Its not broken, just loud. (Replaceable down the road) From what I can see, the GPU is blocking expansion (PCIe & M.2) on the Mini ATX (?) and the board itself doesnt actually reach the remaining expansion bays on the back of the tower (see pictures) The LED lighting isnt a big deal to me, but I cant seem to control it with the software and internally it is only on the top and front of the case casting inwards, theres a thin line on the GPU and the front of the case has an angled line also. I had it say USB Power Surge once on the monitor when I had plugged a joystick into the front port. Im willing to say it was the Joystick though, I dont know. As for performance its not a $40,000 computer but for the price it does what I wanted. Theres no issues while modeling/shading etc in Blender. The render times are acceptable so far, but I havent done anything extensive. I was hoping to put another GPU in down the road but it does NOT look like thats an option due to expansion limitations. My previous computers have some years on them and this is definitely a step up in speed & stability. I purchased a 4K monitor and the graphics are very clean. I think the largest problem Ill have is internal upgrades. It looks like at least a larger board for starters. If youre just wanting to game on it though and have no intentions of messing with internals its not bad. Probably be my final review unless something major happens with it.

This is a Gaming PC for DIY people, theres a lot of stuff that youre gonna have to get rid of or add to make this any good for gaming, I had to buy a new case and a AIO should help with temps but I shouldnt have to do that. Not a good PC for people who dont know how to work on PCs. Also the motherboard came in a little Damages the backplate is peeling off. Overall 6/10 just because of the CPU and GPU
Really solid computer for the price. It runs great, my first "test" was playing Cyberpunk with almost everything on max, CPU runs around 80-82 consistently, GPU around 70 during gameplay. Least impressive thing about this computer is the noise, the fan runs pretty loud. Upgraded to Win 11 when I first got it and have had no issues.
- I would absolutely recommend this for others! - In the same situatuation, I would definitely get this again - My only real issues with this setup is that the disk drive doesn't come with it, but I knew that getting it. It was the compromise since this comp met my needs in every other way. I don't really know much about computers, but I did seek help looking for one that could do the ultimate task for me; play skyrim with over 300 mods, including ENBs and grass mods which take a lot of power to run smoothly. And it does! I'm only sad that I can't download and install more games than the few I have without purchasing additional space. Overall though, it does exactly what I bought it to do, and I'm happy with this purchase.
I would give this a 5 of 5, but I am trying to install fans for better cooling and it is almost impossible at least for me. The motherboard has RGB header slots for fans, but there are no headers actually connected? Also, can't seem to find any available SATA power slots for fans that don't use the RGB headers. I don't know if that's a defect or supposed to be like that, all I do know is it has been very hard to find fans that work with this motherboard as cooling has been a major issue as I am getting high 70s to mid 80s with 4 fans installed.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new modern PC at a moderate cost without the effort/research/experience needed to build their own. If you don't want to have to tweak with anything, I think this system is pretty close to as good as you're going to get at this price minus the horrific chassis fan installed on the back. If there is one thing I would want ASUS to change on this, it's that. The chassis fan, and maybe add at least 1 intake fan. Would I buy it again? I guess this has been a new experience for me since I have built almost every PC I've owned in my life up until now (first one in 2005, a new one every 5-6 years). YMMV 2 Week edit: I got a new fan in and changing it has been such a game changer. I didn't realize just how bad the rear exhaust fan was bothering me until I put in a much quieter on. Asus: look at the reviews on this product. Almost ever reviewer mentions noise. The rear fan is horrible, put in something better. It really does turn this product use experience from a 5 star experience to a 2-3 star experience on its own, for something I swapped out and fixed for a mere $10.
TLDR: Great rig for the price, minimalist gaming PC but passable, HORRIBLE cooling that has to be addressed Positives: ---------- CPU - Ryzen 7 5000 Series 5800X (3.80 GHz) - as advertised GPU - ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - as advertised Passable: ---------- Mobo - ASUS G15DK (AM4) - bare bones, no bells and whistles but does what it needs to do - can slot another NVMe but would need to remove WiFi card (not an issue for me as I am wired) - zero information available about this Mobo at ASUS or anywhere else on net closest I could find was ASUS PRIME B550M-K AM4 SSD - Western Digital NVMe 1TB - WDC PC SN530 SDBPNPZ-1T00-1002 (SSD) - Mid-Range - good enough for my needs, your mileage may vary PSU - its bronze 80 - comes with modular cables that can be added to PSU ... MoreTLDR: Great rig for the price, minimalist gaming PC but passable, HORRIBLE cooling that has to be addressed Positives: ---------- CPU - Ryzen 7 5000 Series 5800X (3.80 GHz) - as advertised GPU - ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - as advertised Passable: ---------- Mobo - ASUS G15DK (AM4) - bare bones, no bells and whistles but does what it needs to do - can slot another NVMe but would need to remove WiFi card (not an issue for me as I am wired) - zero information available about this Mobo at ASUS or anywhere else on net closest I could find was ASUS PRIME B550M-K AM4 SSD - Western Digital NVMe 1TB - WDC PC SN530 SDBPNPZ-1T00-1002 (SSD) - Mid-Range - good enough for my needs, your mileage may vary PSU - its bronze 80 - comes with modular cables that can be added to PSU (SATA, Molex and 6 pin power) - has had no issues powering the rig so far Keyboard/Mouse - basic - will allow you to operate the computer - who is using these anyway? Could be better: ---------------- RAM - Hynix 3200 DDR4 - (CL) 22, (tRCD) 22, (tRP) 22, (tRAS) 52, (tRC) 74 - you will most likely end up upgrading this as I will be Case - ROG - its OK to look at, nice little LED strip on front and inside with nice effect options - GPU is supported in front by a bracket which is nice - has no rack/mounting options for additional SSD/HDD - has room at bottom of case to store HDD/SSD but they just kinda hang out down there - no proper way to add additional fans (major con of this rig - see below) - case cannot house beefy air cooler (ex. a Hyper 212 would not fit due to how thin the case is) - cramped - doing anything in this case is difficult - esoterically secured compartments (PSU, GPU and CPU/RAM all separated by metal "shields") - power button placement is not ideal (front of case) and accidentally hit the button several times Cons: ----- Cooling - (you will DEFINITELY have to address this) - out of the box, rig runs HOT - Only one 92mm exhaust fan at back of case - Air Cooled CPU (not an issue for me but heatsink is jank) - no proper way to add additional fans to the case Addressing Heat issue: I added two 120mm fans, two 92mm fans and one 80mm fan which brought the temps into bearable ranges. There is room at the front of case for a 120mm and 92mm intake fans - the 120 in front of GPU, the 92 in front of RAM/CPU. There would have been room for a second 120 in front of CPU but a plastic tab which secures the front of the case gets on the way. Removing the metal compartment "shields" may expand your fan options but the securing points of these compartments are not immediately obvious. There is room for a 120mm and a 92mm fan on top of case (exhaust). You could put two 120mm fans at the top but this would require you covering part of the rear LED strip. A 92mm fan at top is needed if you do not want to cover the LED strip due to a plastic tab which secures the top of the case. The rear of the case you can fit an 80mm fan (exhaust) below the GPU, in front of the expansion slot openings. You could use 4pin fans and a fan hub and control the speed of the fans or use 3/4pin fans and a SATA/Molex to fan power adapter if you don't care to control the speed. You will need to zip tie/velcro the fans in place. I suggest replacing the heatsink as I will be doing in the near future. You will need to use a low profile heatsink if going air cooled, or figure a way to mount the radiator if going liquid (which would limit options for intake.exhaust fans). I plan on using the Nocutua NH-C14S or NH-L12Sair cooler. Conclusion: Had about a week now, runs great and overall pleased with my purchase so far. If you are looking for a minimalist gaming PC at a good price and overall acceptable components and are able/willing to address the cooling issues then this would suit you.
Smaller than expected, slimline case. Everything in order. Runs perfect on boot. Blazing power, will get the job done. Nice to finally have an RTX card. Still testing temps but so far have never had an issue with anything thats high-intensity, and Im running a 4K 34" monitor. Its loud, and the case fan performance is underwhelming. The design leaves room for a hot air bubble to form under the GPU, but so far the exhaust has done the job. Will probably add dampening and another case fan or two if it becomes necessary. Also an extra HDD since the single NVME eventually wont be enough. There is some mcafee bloatware on it that you'll have to remove. I tried to do a full restore but apparently its in the initial boot. Wasnt a problem to uninstall though. Overall though, ... MoreSmaller than expected, slimline case. Everything in order.
