I've stuck with Asus for many years, the products have been reliable and software / support excellent. A slight issue with this motherboard was that Windows 10 didn't support the ethernet port without drivers being downloaded on another PC and installed. (A bit odd considering Windows has had built in support for every other onboard ethernet ports for well over a decade). Not a major issue though, and I'm not sure if this is a microsoft thing or an asus thing. I'm very happy with the product overall.

I expected better from an Asus product, especially with an Intel CPU.The version of the BIOS that came installed on my mainboard was so unstable that I couldn't even make it through the windows setup without a blue screen, let alone set the correct clock speed for my ram (3200mhz) without causing the system to refuse to post. Thankfully the bios automatically reverts to defaults if it fails to post so that's a good start at least. Now that I have flashed version 1603 of the BIOS the board appears to be stable but I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet.Hopefully this will at least help others if they have similar problems with this mainboard.

The motherboard is good and does its job, but I have 2 issues with it:1. The XMP setting doesn't work properly, at least for me, and when I enable it the PC boot loops. This, coupled with the fact ASUS removed most overclocking features (as this motherboard can't overclock the CPU), means that I'm forced to run my RAM at a lower speed -- even though the board is SUPPOSED to support overclocking ram2. It only has two SATA ports. Not a huge deal, and it said this on the page, it just slipped my mind to check, as 4+ is very standard in my experience and I have 3 drives using SATA.Other than this I have had no issues with the board so far. Just make sure you don't install bloatware if you get their software -- it tries to get you to download apps you don't need!

Overall, this motherboard is very good and packed with a lot of customizable features in the bios. It is much better than the other motherboards I attempted to use with a 12700k. However, it is not for everyone since setting up this board with a boot drive that has windows on it already is not done automatically as most motherboards would and the number of options the bios provide may make changing certain things confusing if you don't read the manual or get what each option does. But overall an outstanding board.
I would recommend this product to most people. It has more than enough for someone who is just going to build and start playing. This is my 4th PC build and I've found that I do not need $400 motherboards to meet my needs. 16GB of ram 12th gen i5 and a GTX1080. I have bought all ASUS boards for my other builds over the years and I began questioning if the high end boards were worth it. After building this I can say that I don't think so if you are just going to use it straight out of the box. . . not overclocking or maxing out every slot on the board for something.
This was the only choice for the H670 chipset other than AS Rock for a 12th gen Intel processor. I used a i7-12700F and so far everything works as expected. Construction is solid, and the three m.2 ports are quite welcome! I also have optical, and hard drives connected to SATA without any disabling of ports. So nice to have that feature. The only reason I am knocking off a star is that there is a critical feature in the BIOS that is set to enabled by default. This is the Asus Enhanced Performance mode. This sends extra voltage to your CPU so it can do more. But unfortunately it also makes it very hot, and dangerously hot. I saw values of 100 C under load in Lightroom. Concerned about this I did some reading, and yes my enhanced performance was set to enabled in ... MoreThis was the only choice for the H670 chipset other than AS Rock for a 12th gen Intel processor. Concerned about this I did some reading, and yes my enhanced performance was set to enabled in BIOS. I turned it off. and now my load values are at 78C. This will send it back to Intel's recommended voltage. So if you are building for work purposes, definitely go into BIOS and make this change!
I bought this board to build a virtual machine lab. I didn’t need a video card since I was not doing any intense graphics. The board has 3 video ports and the I9 can handle all of them simultaneously. However if you are running Linux the kernel stops loading when booting with more than 1 monitor plugged in. If you boot with one and then plug in others it works fine. I assume it is a Linux issue but be warned if this is your situation. Otherwise great board.
This motherboard had deceiving look. It had 4 pcie x16 slot but only the one closes to CPU PCIE X16 Gen5 is really 16x electrically other slot 2 x pcie x16 G3 and 1 x pcie x16 G4 only 4x electrically. I did used all 3 port (2 Gen3 and one Gen4) and I used Zotac RTX 3060 TI X16 Gen 4 and it only work as 4x in other than Gen5 slot. I really dissatisfied and pass 30 days return window. The problem I need to use SAS controller PCI X8 (PCIE G3) and Intel 10GB 540-2T NIC card (PCIE G2.0) also PCI X8 Both cards only work as 4x that mean I can not used full bandwidth of SAS-3 12 GB/s on 4 HD and 2x10GB ethernet. I wish I can return this motherboard and get mother board with at least real 3x Pcie 16x instead of one only PCIe X16 which I need for Nvidia RTX 3060 TI.
- Using it with an i3-12100 as a daily driver. Not a gamer :). - 2 x 8GB sticks of DDR 3600 g.skill ripjaws memory were bought here after found on ASUS QVL list !!!!! First time in +20 years of PC building! - Initial Prime95 torture test showed 'FFT error', search showed others had similar symptoms or worse. Downloaded and reflashed BIOS using easy-to-use, built in EZ Flash 3 (no Windows, DOS pgm or floppy disk required), eight hour test reran with No errors !! - As of April 2022 current BIOS is version 1402, seems stable thank goodness. JUST FLASH IT ALREADY!
