I needed something that could handle Lightroom and Photoshop for several years to come, and I think it's more than up to that challenge. I wanted something I could play FFXIV on, and it delivers on that admirably. Gameplay is smooth even in extremely crowded areas, and overall it's wonderfully responsive. Quiet, too, even with heavy demand on the hardware!The only real issue I've noticed so far is that my display will periodically flash black while I'm doing things using the integrated GPU. It's very quick, it doesn't actually interrupt what I'm doing, it's just pretty obvious especially when the majority of the screen is white. It may be just a driver issue, but so far none of the troubleshooting steps I've gone through have resolved it.

I couldn’t believe the price on this laptop. I got it for about $300 under msrp and the staff at the Overland Park Micro Center were attentive, helpful, and made the entire process fast and painless. Great suggestions for add-ons without any pressure, and they made it feel like they appreciated my business.This laptop can run any game in existence. I’m running AAA games in full ultra graphics settings and the display is crystal clear. I was mostly looking for certain technical specs in a gaming laptop, but this also has all sorts of bells and whistles that are a welcome bonus. I recently purchased two of these laptops (One for myself and one for my son after we lost our old desktops to an apartment fire).What it has in it:There are many great things to say about this laptop.1. The AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX is a very good processor and does all the things that you would expect from a processor in this class.2. Connectivity - The Ethernet adapter (10/100/1000) and the Wireless Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter provide excellent connectivity options.3. The 32 GB of RAM is plenty for most applications.4. Since we haven’t had the laptops that long, we haven’t done much to test other games, for FPS.6. Oculus Quest. My son has an Oculus Quest and uses Oculus Link to play more demanding games. One of his main needs for his new PC/Laptop was to be compatible. He has informed me that the Oculus works much better than his old desktop with an RTX 2060.7. The 17.3” Full HD Anti-glare IPS LCD 300 Hz refresh rate monitor included. This is a very nice perk with this laptop. The screen is very right and has no stutter or lag, at least as far as my eyes can tell. My son really likes to play games like OSU and the high refresh rate is a must for games of this type.8. I haven’t personally had any problems with fan noise, but I haven’t played any games on it that are too demanding. My wife however has an MSI laptop and her fan is louder than the G17, while playing the same game.Drawbacks:1. No Webcam2. No USB ports on the right side of the chassis.3. There is a sound effect enabled on POST that can be jarring if you are not expecting it. It can be disabled in the BIOS though.All in all, I am happy with the purchase. It fulfilled all the needs that I needed it to and is portable too, unlike the desktop that it replaced.
