After one year of use I have almost no complaints about the performance of this monitor, save for the one stuck pixel that I noticed shortly after purchase. It's faint green so not noticeable at all unless the screen is completely black so I really forget about it 99.999% of the time. I would recommend this monitor for anyone who wants a curved 144hz 1080p monitor with a very good adaptive sync window (48-144FPS with low-framerate compensation). At the 27" size with all these features I think this is a fantastic monitor and would definitely buy again.

I consider this the best high refresh rate gaming monitor for immersive gaming, but it's still heavily flawed as are all LCDs since LCD is inherently poor technology and OLED kills it in every way unless you want to leave a logo on the screen all day. So my 4 egg rating is relative to other monitors strictly for the purpose of gaming, and I would never rate an LCD 5 eggs. The fact of the matter is, the display industry, ESPECIALLY the computer monitor industry, remains in a terrible and outdated state due to continued use of LCD technology (and inferior LCD panels compared to TVs), edge lit backlighting, and matte AG coatings. Know what you're buying, if you're buying a gaming monitor then you are forced to choose between the lesser of evils and you have no GOOD choice.

But, I really wanted a curved monitor and I noticed immediately that it was much easier on my eyes to see and make user of the sides of the screen. That's why I wanted it. So, I searched on-line an found a professional review and calibration. Now, image quality is almost as good as the monitor it replaced. I'm very satisfied.

If you don't care about the grainy image, this is a fine monitor. Unfortunately for me, it is a deal breaker. Considering getting a refund or RMA as I am not satisfied with this monitor. Really a killer monitor. My 5 stars is based of of the spec range, yes there are more powerful monitors out there. However, at 1080p 144hz freesync, I don't know that anything is better than this. I've played on a zowie and an acer a non-ROG Asus, while all comparable, the build quality on this is just much better. I play mostly FPS, I'm not ultra competitive, so I didn't go with the meta 24". I do think 24" is the sweet spot for pros, but 95% of gamers wouldn't be affected dramatically. Enjoy the realestate IMO.
I had a 4k monitor (60hz), but since i play FPS games, it was bottlenecking my hardware. So I switched! However, if you do that, you will notice the quality and pixels instantly! If you’re not getting it for high refresh rate games, dont get this! I would recommend a 140hz monitor with higher resolutions. But if you want to get all the FPS that your computer is giving you, go with this. Overall im happy and soon will get used to the quality.
This seemed like a good deal for a good ultrawide monitor. I didn't want to spend too much, so snagged this one on sale. Had it overnighted to arrive with my new laptop. Screen was broken in the middle. Shipped it back, after it arrived four days later, they thankfully over-nighted the replacement. Worked for a couple of weeks, then right half of the screen backlighting started flickering. I can mess with settings or turn it off and on and the backlighting will come back full brightness (regardless of setting). In short order the backlighting starts flickering and then goes dark. Rinse, repeat. Tried to open an RMA on Asus website. It fails too. Guess I'll have to call their support line.
Good Points: It's very bright but also let's you control the brightness and has a blue light filter feature which is great, has a good settings menu and a very convenient menu joystick. Also it weights quiet a lot but if you remove the leg which takes 80% of the weight it feels like a feather, so for all wall mounted monitor lovers it's a great choice, I have quiet bad plaster only walls and it holds like a dream thanks to its weight!Improvement Points: It costs money, I can't think of any bad points, I bought it for competitive shooter games, and must say, I get called cheater a lot ;)
The screen failed and turned black and got vertical lines. The monitor was never dropped or damaged in anyway. I know it was not my PC, as it worked fine with other monitors. Just do be sure I tested the monitor by using it on a different PC and even a mac, I also changed the HDMI cable, the plug it was plugged into, etc. Asus claims it is a firmware update and your monitor has to be shipped in, however this is caused by cheap parts. For a monitor thats $350, it shouldnt fail after 11 days. Definitely avoid.
Would've given 5 stars if it was not for this white spot on my screen. I noticed it as soon as i turned on the monitor. I can only see it when the screen gets dark and It really doesn't bother me but I'm debating if I should replace it and go through all that hassle to wait for another replacement. [UPDATE] So I decided to exchange the monitor after all. I didn't want to risk the marking on the screen to get worst. The return/exchange process was seamless and took just about 2 weeks to receive the new monitor. There were no issues with new monitor. No dead pixels or white streaks and works just fine.
