ASUS RT-AX89X Wireless AX6000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Router The New Era of Home WiFi The growing number of connected personal and IoT devices has led to an overall increase in network density that is pushing the limits of the current WiFi standard. The latest 802.11ax standard provides future-proof technologies, higher network efficiency, faster WiFi speeds, greater coverage, and improved battery life for connected devices, providing a significantly better networking experience for users. Warp-speed WiFi RT-AX89X is an 8x8 dual-band WiFi router that provides 1024-QAM for dramatically faster wireless connections. With a total networking speed of about 6000Mbps - 1148Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 4804Mbps on the 5GHz band - RT-AX89X is up to 2.8X faster than 802.11ac 4x4 dual-band routers.3 More LAN Ports for More ConvenienceEight Gigabit LAN ports make RT-AX89X the ideal solution if you have multiple wired devices, such as NAS systems, PCs, and switches. And, if you ever want to host a LAN party at home, RT-AX89X makes it possible. Ultra-Fast Wired Speed The RT-AX89X comes with two 10G ports, one Base-T and SFP+ port, which means both fiber and copper 10G connections are supported. Capture ISP advertised speeds or use your own 10G LAN network between PCs and NAS. Built for Multi-Device Households With a revolutionary combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, 802.11ax technology provides up to 4X greater network capacity and efficiency in traffic-dense environments. Previous-generation 802.11ac WiFi can only handle one device at a time on each network channel, which is an inefficient use of available bandwidth. OFDMA support in the 802.11ax WiFi standard divides each channel into small sub-channels, allowing signals from multiple devices* to be bundled together and transmitted simultaneously, reducing latency for a smoother, more responsive WiFi experience. The Router is great. High performance, long Wifi range. However, the router randomly freezes for no apparent reason. You can expect dropping connections, especially if you are in MS Team meetings.

Top of the line router right here folks!! Don’t get much better than this for a consumer grade router. Purchased 2 and currently have them set up in AiMesh mode. Complete 2.4GHz and 5GHz coverage all of entire house, front and backyard as well! This is a machine! Make sure you run an Ethernet cable between the two to hardwire them together instead of doing it wireless. Way more stable!! Highly recommended!

Great looking router, can’t say much about it because I still haven’t set it up. But what I can say is the company was very professional with my order, answered all my questions promptly. The shipping was super fast as I expected. Overall 10/10
It was very straight forward to configure it and get it working properly right away! I really like the extensive menu using a web browser. I immediately set up the free extensive security settings and firewall I configured the WAN to the 10G ethernet port, and hard wired the other 10G port to my Water cooled PC with a Geforce RTX 3080. I immediately was blown away by internet speeds of 1,400 plus Down and 42 up! I pay for 1,200. The wireless signal covers my whole 2 story loft, and even get a strong signal across the street at my favorite sushi place. I am thoroughly pleased with the router.
Adorama took the order and direct shipped from ASUS and landed in my lap in a week. The router came up - was integrated into my 3 story house as the central command for a 3 Router AIMesh including the RT-AX89X, the RT-AX86U and RT-AX58U. I now get GigE Internet throughout the wired connections around the house and 750Mbps on wireless to my WiFi6 clients. Nice upgrade. I mounted the router on a ring to provide good airflow for the system to prevent overheating. Great performance so far.
It is very expensive but worth the money. I'm an Asus router convert, before this I had a Netgear Nighthawk AX8 that worked fine for only 5 months but then started dropping out. We live in two-storey house and the Asus router wi-fi signal is great, it doesn't matter where we are, and we have 10 devices connected and no issues.
Very good. Installed and working without any issue. I bought this mainly for the 2 10gb ports so that I can connect my NAS and Desktop. I've got over 900mb/s read and write speed and still not hearing any fan noises. Very good
the picture is suppose to be spider router .Its the best wifi 6 router with 2.2 cpu. This is a advance router .The netgear rax120 vs asus ax89x asus wins.Better options and features. The asus ax89x has gaming and security features for free.
