I was looking for a midrange gaming laptop to use for work. Some of the software that I use can be accelerated by a modern GPU, which this laptop has (mobile Nvidia 4060).This is a recently released laptop, which I liked, because it has the top components inside. The AMD CPU is very, very fast. It matches up well compared the the 13th gen Intel i9 CPUs.I wish it came with a 1TB SSD, but it's easy to access the SSD and the RAM, so upgrading both, in the future, won't be a problem. It is also the first laptop that I saw that came with a USB 4.0 port. A great way of future-proofing. Lots of ports to make it easy to connect to use it as an alternative to a desktop replacement.I've been using it for two weeks now and it is very good. The Nvidia Optimus tech works well and for most programs, it runs using the AMD integrated GPU, which is actually pretty snappy. This results in good battery life. The screen isn't the brightest, ugh. But I knew that going in and I'm not using this for gaming, in laptop form. If I connect to a larger jfor monitor, this won't be a problem.

When I came across this listing, my first words were: how? How can such good specs be available for such a good price. I was really skeptical and so I did research to which I could not find more than 3 videos that actually reviewed the laptop. I decided to buy it as B&H has a really good customer service dept. and I cannot say I regret this purchase. My old gaming laptop was twice as much as this one, yet this one is at least twice as powerful. The software experience is snappy, the gaming experience is ungodly. From simple games like Overwatch 2 to AAA games like Elden Ring, the performance stays consistent even at higher graphical settings. The only caviot to the price is the subpar display. The specs are good, but my specific panel had really bad backlight bleed ... MoreWhen I came across this listing, my first words were: how? How can such good specs be available for such a good price. My old gaming laptop had none of this, but I was able to mitigate the ghosting using in-game settings most of the time and it wasn't that bad to begin with. If you are looking for a really good upper-midrange gaming laptop, this is the one!

My laptop was getting a little long in the tooth, so I went on the hunt for a new PC. My old one was an ASUS ROG G-Series 17" laptop that I bought when I was making much better money, so I was expecting to take a major performance hit with my now-decreased budget. I couldn't have been further from the truth! This little heavyweight outperforms my old PC by leaps and bounds! It is also much more durable than other laptops I've encountered, though I'll be keeping a close eye on this as I use it more. My only complaint is that the PC is only available with 8GB of RAM, which is good for most daily tasks, but I notice that between this and the i5 processor I am not able to multi-task like I was before. Another issue in comparison with my old PC is that the laptop requires the complete removal of the back piece in order to perform upgrades/repairs. I understand that this is done with durability in mind, so it's not a big deal, but it's good to be aware of these things before purchase. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
I bought this laptop November 27th on a Black Friday deals. It was a little difficult to set up at first because of the driver situation and not knowing how to run the Asus Armory but after I figured it out and started to learn it made sense and was easy to use.The main reason I bought it was for music recording and editing as well as gaming. It was also a good purchase because of the upgradable RAM and memory slots. 500GB SSD was good but I wanted a 1TB ssd. Everything runs on highest settings for all my games and my recording software works very well and very quickly. Don't listen to the bad reviews, give these Asus TUF laptops a chance.

My previous review has been removed by me, as I discovered a way to fix the main issue that caused me to give it a middling score. Previously my complaint was that there was a problem with the wireless card that causes the internet to constantly fluctuate between normal and unusable, however after posting that review I discovered that the specific wireless LAN card used in the laptop actually has a newer updated driver that for some reason is not included in windows updates; and has to be tracked down and downloaded manually from the site. Upon installing this driver update, the internet problems have been fixed and as such, I can now look at this laptop objectively without that issue weighing my opinion of it down. This laptop is a fantastic budget gaming laptop, its only real cons being its small size (which many might see as a plus) and the colour of the screen when in battery mode as opposed to to plugged in; a problem many gaming laptops deal with and is more or less a simple weakness you have to take with the territory. Since it uses an SSD, its lightning fast when compared to gaming laptops that use an HDD which are notorious for growing ridiculously slow. (I would also like to thank and apologize to the representative who replied to my previous review and hope this updated review will satisfy everyone on the end result). Windows 11 has taken some getting used to, and I still personally think Windows 10 has a better UI, but it does the job perfectly fine. My one recommendation to ASUS and newegg would be to perhaps in the future, include a sheet of paper or such with shipments to warn them about the issue and fix regarding the wireless card, as my investigations online have led me to conclude that this is a fairly common issue with that specific brand and model; and people who are less tech inclined may find themselves unable to figure out how to fix it. As a final aside, I had worried before the laptop was shipped to me that I would have to rummage through its settings to enable tap clicking on the touchpad instead of using the buttons beneath it; as reviews I had seen online suggested would be needed, however it seems since those reviews were published its now been enabled by default which meant I didn't have to do so, which is a nice positive.

It's super smooth to look at, movies look incredible and it just takes your gaming experience to a new level of immersion. The keyboard is a full size layout, with the numpad too, which is a very nice bonus, especially for work and using the ASUS software you can turn off the RGB keyboard, or just customise to what wver colour takes your fancy and at night, if you find things too bright, just add abit of black to the colour pallette and you can really fine tune the brightness. It also has a plentiful amount of USB ports, on both sides too, which is often overlooked but thats no issue here. The power brick is also engineered to be as light and as smallnas possible. Many gaming laptops suffer from having giant power bricks, which can add significant weight but it's no heaver than a macbook power unit.Top it off with the GPU, i7 CPU and DDR4 RAM this is a must buy laptop if you have the budget, not only does it play almost all modern games at the high graphical settings but it just breezes through office work, which is good, cause you'll want to get back to gaming on it ASAP.
This is a beast of a machine...I bought it after returning a piece of junk gaming laptop from a competitor (4 letters, first letter D. Followed by ell).I love this Machine. I've had it for 3 months and haven't had a single problem. It runs my current favorite (Satisfactory) on ultra across the board. It doesn't get very hot (compared to others) and it is very light weight. ASUS is my life long brand when it comes to computers.
