Purchased this to replace some old WD MY Book drives that needed to be replaced. The enclosure is nice, easy to load the drives, and the fan is quiet. That's about all the good I can say.Once I powered it up and tried to initialize it, it told the ADM needed to be updated and to click a link. I did that and it told me it couldn't download the ADM (no reason why). I retried several times with the same result. I couldn't start initializing the drives until that happened. I downloaded the app to my phone to try that way, but no dice. After several more attempts via the web interface it suddenly decided to download the updated ADM. Then it tried to install it and it hung with the message of don't turn off the power until the update completes. I powered it down after ... Well....I had sent the health logs with the original ticket, along with 6-7 screenshots, and a detailed description of what I was experiencing. I've made several responses to the ticket as I continue to troubleshoot, but no one from Asustor has bothered to reach back out. Hardware: B+; Interface: C; Customer Service - F.

Easy to set up hardware and software. My primary purpose is initiating and storing backups from a few devices at home. Full backups are fast and restoring from one was faster than I thought it'd be at around an hour for ~300Gb. Depending on how things go I'll be buying another as a gift for the same purpose.

very easy to setup the only concern which I have is how to copy data from PC to storage through USB not through network , little search is needed from my side.
