Amazing fit for anyone with a high volume foot

This is my second pair of Hawx Magna 130 boots. I have a wide foot and a very high instep. This boot fit right out of the box. The new Mimic liner is a big improvement as it holds your foot firmly in place. I can still get great performance and no heel movement without cranking the boot buckles down. 38 days and not a single fit issue and the best performance and fit of any boot I have owned.

An awesome boot for those of us with high arches

An awesome boot for those of us with high arches. I have super high arches and have struggled in ski boots for my entire ski career. No more, these boots are awesome. I have the 130s and they overpower my all mountain skis a bit, but really drive my old red sleds.

Best boot for painful wide feet.

Bought this boot 2 years ago. I have wide feet combined with a very narrow heel, they are almost impossible to find ski boots for. The boot fitter had to heat up the shell 2 times to make them fit and add some cushioning at the back. Now I am finally able to ski pain-free.

Finally a great fit
10 September 2022

Finally boots that fit me , enable great edge control , and are not too soft. My street shoes are 14-3e with a high arch so hard to fit. These boots have great adjustability right out of the box. I understand the same model is available in 3 different widths (magma being the widest) so just find the one for you. Really looking forward to the next ski season.

Fits like a glove and very comfortable!
31 January 2022

I'm an intermediate skier and this is my first own boots. I was really worried about the stiffness of the boots since many people says it feels uncomfortable if it's too stiff. I bought this and other one with 100 flex, returned 100 one. This Magna 130 fits like a glove for my wide foot and I have been wearing this skiing for 3 times. Really nice high quality and super comfortable boots!

Good fit out of the box
20 June 2021

Had a hard time finding a boot that fits. I was currently in a softer k2 bfc that would concave because of my weight. I have wide feet and big calves. And I'm a big guy. I upgraded to these and couldn't be happier. This boot is the only boot i was able to put on and buckle up without any adjustments. The boot fit Straight out of the box.I did however need to punch out the left pinky toe area because of my Flintstone feet. I did the initial heat mold and everything was good. Next morning I put the boots on and immediately felt pressure on the pinky are. It was painful... But they fixed it at Evo. I was pretty happy with the deal

I would recommend this boot. Wide Foot 130 flex.
26 January 2020

I had struggled with my Technica Mach 1 for 3 years. 14 fittings and couldn't get it right. Foot asleep, pressure points, etc. My last is 114 and that was probably part of the issue. Replaced my Mach 1 liner with my 7 year old Technica Explosive and helped. However, the liners were warn out. Talked with the techs at EVO and found that this was the only boot that was 29.5, 130 Flex and WIDE.First day skiing was painless. I had one slight change in the last that was done by heating up the boot, putting on some NeoPrene pieces on the outside of the foot, covered by a thin nylon sock. Slipped in to "push out" the liner slightly. After that, everything fits perfectly. Also, for the first time in years, my foot was dry at the end of a 30K ski day.Another added bonus is ... MoreI had struggled with my Technica Mach 1 for 3 years. 14 fittings and couldn't get it right. Slipped in easily and out is a snap.Performance is great. 130 flex works on the big crud and high speed banging through the chatter.I would recommend this boot to someone with a big foot, wide last and the need of a 130 performance flex.

Incredible boots
29 August 2023

Definetly a big change for me, after using smaller flex before. Needed time to get used to it, but after some time, it was incredibly nice to use these boots. It is a bit stiff, but once you are underway, there are no more worries at all.

Probably the Best Wide Ski Boot Out There
8 March 2023

There are a handful of wide ski boot options out there, and I would say that Atomic arguably has the best and most robust lineup currently on the market with the Magna series. I'm coming off a pair of 110 Hawx Magna, which I outgrew by the end of the 2021/2022 ski season. These were the first pair of ski boots I purchased after deciding our family would invest in proper ski gear and skip the rental lines going forward. The 110 flex rating proved to be too soft as my skills and ability improved throughout the season. I was after something that offered a bit more stiffness and more responsive to my inputs, so I moved up to the Hawx Magna 130 for the 2022/2023 ski season and couldn't be happier. However, I would recommend demo'ing different flex ratings if possible. If not, then I recommend starting with something in sub 100 to 110 range, which some might find more than adequate, before moving up to an expert level boot. Also, don't skip out on having them properly fitted by a reputable ski boot fitter. It truly makes a world of difference when everything is properly and professionally set up. Once fitted, you will find that they provide excellent support, comfort, and warmth. 10/10 would buy again.

The only boot that fits
12 June 2021

Had a hard time finding a boot for my feet. They are wide: and I have wide calves. I've Tried a variety of boots and these were the only ones (other than my current k2 bfc 100) that fit my calves out the box.I didn't have to adjust the ladders or hooks. They latched fairly easily. I did, however, have pressure points in the toes, ankles and the arches. Which went away after the initial heat mold.I got a great deal with evo over memorial weekend and they heat molded my boots. They felt great after. I even wore them that night just to have them on while i watched tv. However, when i went to timberline the next morning i had insane pressure against my left pinky toe. I really wanted to experience the difference and I really did.Off the bat i felt better control and it was easier to get on edge. I felt like i had more stopping power. And my skis felt more responsive. Id press on the edge and boom i was in a turn.I definitely feel a difference with a stiffer boot.If you're a bigger guy like me: with wide feet and calves... I highly recommend this boot.
