Audio Technica AT-LP60X Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable (Red)
Whether youβre just getting into records, rediscovering a record collection long since buried away or simply adding a turntable to complete your system, the AT-LP60X fully automatic belt-drive turntable is an excellent choice. An update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the AT-LP60Xβs Dual Magnet cartridge with replaceable stylus. The cartridge is integrated into the headshell for assured performance and ease of setup. The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (3.5 mm male to dual RCA male), 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover.

Brought this for my dad for fathers day. Read the previous reviews and took a chance.Plays extremely well and is super easy to set up. Have it connected to a stereo system and the sound is great! Definitely worth the money. Great for beginners!

I received this turntable a couple of weeks ago as one of several players under $100. After reviewing the AT-LP60X, I have to say that I am impressed with this model all around. The build quality as a whole is actually decent with a sturdy cast aluminum platter. The only real issue I see with the design is the tonearm being built mainly out of plastic which may give you issues with tracking down the road. The sound quality is actually really good once you fine tune your setup. I paired mine with some Polk Audio Signature series speakers powered by an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver. If you know how to set your Equalizer, it will really bring the sound to life. I purchased this turntable on behalf of my father-in-law so he could make use of all his old vinyl. After checking out a few reviews, I decided that this would do the job. Connected up to some bookshelf speakers, this thing sounds great. Also, it's super easy to use. Just pop on your record, select the size and push start. The arm automatically moves into place and starts playing. The only thing which I could see as being an issue is the super-thin rubber 'belt' which drives the turntable. I'm not sure how long it will last and how to go about getting a replacement.

This is my first record player and, for the few months I've had it so far, it's been great. It was super easy to set up and I paired it with a set of Insignia speakers that sound great. The built in pre-amp was awesome since I'm still a beginner, and really helped with the ease of the set-up. It seems super durable so far, and I've had no problems in sound (though I have had to clean the stylus about once a week, but from what I can tell, that seems to be pretty standard). I was wary of this turntable at first because of the low price, but I couldn't have picked a better beginner model at the price point. The ATLP60x is an awesome choice to begin your journey into the world of vinyl!
Purchased this unit recently to get back into vinyl after many years of listening to CDs.Whether it be for first time vinyl buyers, or people like myself getting back into the vinyl craze, this is such a lovely little purchase. Very lightweight and oh so easy to setup. The fact it has a built-in preamp was handy, as all I had to do was plug the accompanying RCA cable into the amplifier on my micro hifi system and away you go! Very stylish unit and love the splash of red!
Received this as a recent birthday gift. I connected it to a Harmon Kardon 330B purchased from a buddy in high school in the mid 70s, put on a Miles Davis LP purchased in 76 at a university bookstore (then a new Pat Metheny vinyl) and, oh my goodness, the sound was pristine. I have rediscovered the ritual of listening to a vinyl record.I like the simple push button operation on the front. The brown (front panel only) version looks great with the rest of the black electronics in the entertainment center. Only issue is a very low level ground hum that I need to track down, but when music is playing you can't hear it at all.
I'll start with the positive. Really easy to use and hook up to almost anything. I bought it on a whim a couple years ago and it helped me get into vinyl really for the first time. It has played everything I put on it without skipping. Now for negatives. For one thing, it looks and feels cheap. I know it IS cheap, but it looks and feels REALLY cheap. It weighs like a pound. The timing is all jacked up and there's no easy way to adjust it (or to adjust anything). Mine plays quite fast, up about a half step in pitch, and playing a 5 minute song in like 4:45.The stylus is a cheap piece of junk, and worst of all there is no way to replace it with a better one or upgrade the cartridge in any way. It's a serviceable entry-level turntable, but it's also a dead-end. Turntable and matching cartridge and stylii provide realistic, in person listening of jazz, C&W, and classical music from old 33.3 rpm records. Records are in new -no scratches, condition. Reproduction is far superior to any and all of my CD's. Receiver amplifier is a Yamaha RX V677 purchased from B&H many years ago. Used daily for about 16 hours - music during day - program audio in evenings. Still performs perfectly. Speakers are a mixture of AR, Onkyo and Yamaha.
I didn't want to spend a lot and considering that my toddler broke my previous Technics-1200 I didn't want to bring another high end turntable into the house and risk a major loss. This turntable does the trick. It works. It does the job of just having a functional turntable in the house for my vinyl. Does it feel a little cheap if you've had a high-end turntable? Yes, it does. The needle skips from even walking by the turntable... ( and I wasn't stomping heavily)... So I'm not thrilled... but it'll do the trick for now. The price is right.
bought this as a gift for my partner last xmas and he loves it. it's super easy to use press and play, the red looks sleek and cool and we love how compact and functional it is. great addition to our weekend chilling vibes . the coils did come off its track once but we youtubed how to fix it and it was pretty straight forward, havent had a problem since.
