200 is a lot for a headphone to use with a phone, but its not a lot for a true Hifi headphone. Audio Technica make models a lot more serious than this model! For the money the sound is excellent. It doesnt have a built in contour like some of its major competitors. Its not Bluetooth, which will never be the last word compared to wired. But it has true high fidelity sound. The Sound clarity is far better than the other headphones I have with an emphasis in the highs specifically. If you are into head banging bass I probably wouldn't recommend these though. The only negative I have on these is a sharpness in the 3-8Khz range which makes some voices and instruments to buzz your ear. These headphones are fantastic as the sound quality is extremely good. I can highly recommend these. The sound is clear, crisp, detailed and lively. The sound balance seems to be perfectly balanced between the frequencies without any of them being overpowered. The only negative is the cable length which for me is too short. I overcame this issue by buying a cheap extension cable, this does not seem to change the quality of the sound. I use the headphones on standard consumer items such as mobile phone, MP3 player, television.

These Audio Technica ATH-MSR7b headphones are terrific value for their money. They are the first hi-fi standard headphones I have purchased although I have sampled many different ones. I thoroughly recommend making sure your source equipment is of a high standard also in order to get the best out of them. I am using an A&K DAP and altogether it has massively increased the quality of my music and my level of enjoyment.
