This lovely gadget was recommended to me by an audiophile friend who is also a musician. It is frigging awesome. Setup was a breeze. Sound quality is very, very good. I used to use my 1990 era Sony receiver to play music from computer, iPod, and an old CD player via RCA cables and extensive wiring combinations. That got to be a hassle. The CD player broke eventually. I hardwired the receiver to the old Visio TV necessitating more wiring through holes in the floor and wall through the basement. Finally got a new Samsung OLED with Bluetooth capability. The old wiring for sound just didnāt make the grade. Did not want to buy a sound bar. I love my BOSE speakers from 1996.and wanted to continue using that system. Steamed music from my phone and iPad last night and didnāt realize how much I missed using the old system for a room full of music rather than listening to everything from my phone through BOSE headphones. I plugged the Auris to the switched 110 volt plug in the receiver so it automatically turns on with one switch. I recommend this gadget to anyone who wants to cut the the spider web of wiring.

This will be a fairly long review documenting my wonderful experience with the bluMe Pro purchased in Oct 2021 when it was first released. It replaced an inexpensive StarTech Bluetooth receiver that worked fine, but was unimpressive. From day one the bluMe Pro has performed perfectly. I have it connected to the pre-amp of my whole home Parasound two channel system with 3 speaker zones (each with impedance matching Niles volume controls) all receiving the same signal. Initially, I used my iPod Touch and iPhone for internet streaming and CDs burned via iTunes. I was immediately impressed with the improved sound quality coming out of my in-wall speakers from the Apple products.Recently, I began comparing the sound between CDs from my Denon changer and those same CDs ...Ā MoreThis will be a fairly long review documenting my wonderful experience with the bluMe Pro purchased in Oct 2021 when it was first released. I have it connected to the pre-amp of my whole home Parasound two channel system with 3 speaker zones (each with impedance matching Niles volume controls) all receiving the same signal. Initially, I used my iPod Touch and iPhone for internet streaming and CDs burned via iTunes. I was immediately impressed with the improved sound quality coming out of my in-wall speakers from the Apple products.Recently, I began comparing the sound between CDs from my Denon changer and those same CDs burned lossless in iTunes done via multiple pre-amp inputs. To my surprise, I could tell that the sound quality directly from CD was noticeably better than the same ripped music throughout the frequency range. Clearer highs & midrange and somewhat better bass. After doing some research I believed that the difference was probably between Apple internal DAC the Denon changerās DAC.So, out of curiosity (and the desire to now rip our entire 300+ CD collection) I began doing some research on ripping to lossless FLAC using a dedicated ASUS laptop with an SSD. I learned how to rip using "Exact Audio Copy" which is a free download that takes some YouTube video study to completely figure out. I ended up with Bit Rate: 922kbps, Sample Rate: 44.1 kHZ, Sample Size16 bit with each song file size being very large at 27-35 GB!! There are multiple ways to playback these CDs from Windows Media Player to what I ended up using the AIMP Player that is also a free download. To my dismay & initial frustration, when I connected the computer via Bluetooth to the bluMe Pro and played back songs the sound quality was not an improvement over the direct connected CDās and not really even as good as the Apple iTunes playback. I was expecting the sound to be at least exactly as good as good as direct connected CDās. I was hearing background rumble/noise at the quiet parts of music, skips/gaps on occasion and a belief that I must have done something wrong with the FLAC ripping process.Enlightenment! āRead the instructions!ā The bluMe Pro instructions have a section titled Connect to a Computer states: ābluMe Pro can be used as a USB DAC when connected to a computerā¦with the included USB-microUSB cable. āIT ALLOWS YOU TO BYPASS YOUR COMPUTERāS SOUNDCARD AND SEND AUDIO THROUGH USB, PROCESSING DIGITAL AUDIO AT ANY BIT DEPTH UP TO 24 BITS AND ANY SAMPLE RATE TO 192kHz. ā¦.. On your computer, select bluMePro as the default audio output device to play music.āOMG!!! I did this and the sound just quality blew me away! So, bypassing the computer soundcard and letting the bluMe Proās DAC send the FLAC file to my pre-amp/amp has given me the best sound quality I have heard yet from my speakers! FYI, I have three different brands of in wall speakers from builderās grade, PSB upgrade and Morgan Logan upgrade. They ALL sound much better with this hard-wired connection! While itās certainly not as convenient as simply playing music wireless via Bluetooth, when connected direct via USB it is my opinion that the bluMe Pro offers the best option to give you the highest sound quality you may desire if you are committed to exploring the options.Bottom-Line Long-Winded Rant: I highly recommend the bluMe Pro and believe you will not be disappointed with it at its price point. It will give you multiple options for streaming audio and a price that cannot be beat by any other product that I am aware of!Thank you Auris for producing this wonderful product!!

I bought the bluMe Pro to stream music to my 90's era Yamaha receiver. I have it plugged into one of the switched outlets on the back of the receiver. This device powers on and connects to my phone faster than the receiver itself clicks on. Setting my phone to stream LDAC wasn't entirely straight forward, but that's a Samsung issue. The bluMe is compact, but feels solidly built. The fit and finish of not only the unit but also the included cables give you confidence you've spent your money on a high quality piece of equipment. My only complaint is that it can only be paired to one device, not a deal breaker, but somewhat disappointing.

Iām a music guy. Iām a sound appreciation guy. Perhaps an untrained audiophile. But I know what sounds good. If you treasure great sound, and know the difference in compressed sound, (and maybe even if you donāt!) Buy This! I have one on my main system. Bought one for my daughter. Bought a third one for my Snowbird place in Fort Myers. And am going to buy a 4th for my outdoor system back home. The range on this is phenomenal! The sound is exquisite! Open. Airy. Dynamic. I stream from Qobuz. And I get Blueray quality; with unbelievable range to the transmitter. Highly recommended!
First of all the BluMe Pro has good sound quality. Ours is optically linked to a Naim Unitiqute/Quad Electrostatic system and it sounds as good as anything Bluetooth that I've heard. But what's more important in it being used regularly is that it's so easy to pair with a mobile phone. The pairing works almost immediately and always with 100% success (not so with some older bluetooth receivers). The bluetooth signal stays locked in even if the phone is in the next room...but no further in our brick-built house. Guests can now play their stuff through our hifi in excellent quality with no messing about, we're also finding that BBC Sounds is incredibly easy and convenient through the hifi now via a phone's app, without tying the phone to the hifi with cables. Such content was previously the preserve of a PC's speakers or phone with headphones, because so awkward to search and play BBC Sounds content directly via the Unitiqute's controls. So all in all a success and thankyou - the extra money for the Pro version has been worthwhile to get hold of the digital output, and it's given the hifi an extra string to its bow. Incidentally, the BluMe is powered directly off a USB socket on the Naim, so makes for a neat set-up.
All I can say itās the best $169 Iāve invested in any of my music stuff. I had this super stereo that would blow out the place especially at a party but itās an older one and didnāt have Bluetooth ! It was a radio and a 6 CD player. It had super sound. My wife was telling a friend who knows a lot about music Equiptment and he said tell your husband just to go out and by a Blu-Me by Auris itās only like $99 bucks. As I did my research on it I came across the Blu-Me Pro for $169 bucks. After comparing the both I said for $69 bucks itās worth getting the Pro. I believe you get what you pay for in this world and let me tell you I got what I paid for because itās unbelievably awesome ! My neighbors are probably saying āWhat did Tim get a new stereoā¦.. I've been a longtime streamer from my laptop and phone to my stereo receiver. My house has speakers wired in different rooms so I didn't want to give that up and start over. For years I used Apple's WiFi extender until they discontinued it and my unit died. Then I got a Belkin device that drove me crazy, constantly cutting out, failing to connect, etc. It was also through WiFi. After enough frustration, I bought this unit in hopes it'd be better. It's not only easy to set up, it's reliably connecting via Bluetooth without any issues whatsoever. It also sounds noticeably clearer, with more depth and distinction to the sound. This is what was promised and I'm happy to report it is in fact a big improvement on all levels. Well worth the price.

I have the same stereo from college (Yamaha amp and tuner, Dual 1229-Q turntable, Teac tape deck) to which I added a Marantz surround sound amp with Dolby, home theatre upstairs, remote control surround sound downstairs - this is amazing. I do not just sit at home, I am always active, walking from room to room, up/down stairs, in the garage, outside, playing fetch with the dogs, etc. This unit is the CAPSTONE COMPLETION of my musical technology. I don't even remember how I came across it, so I will credit it (as I do SO MANY blessings presented to me) as what I call a "God Wink". THANK YOU from the depths of the lowest bass Hz coming from my sub-woofer, to the highest tweeter squeaks for inventing and providing this incredible device that "ties it all together". I'm so happy.....
We installed a Kohler Vibracoustic bath tub. It comes with a few experiences preprogrammed with original soothing compositions for relaxing. The control unit also has an auxiliary input for sound. The Auris blueme pro made it easy to allow streaming music from our phones. Sound quality is great. We purchased longer high quality RCA to RCA cables which will allow us to place the unit in a convenient, accessible location as the control unit is installed in the back of a closet.
I stream from a laptop and phone. This unit was extremely easy to set up- only took a few minutes. I used the digital output into my stand alone tube DAC that feeds a tube preamp and amp. Great and detailed sound (I had purchased the bluMe and a different brand a few years ago with an earlier version of BT and returned both due to poor sound quality and went back to a cabled connection). My new dog ate my expensive usb cable so thought I'd try again with the BT 5.0 and it is outstanding, with audio quality as good as the cabled usb connection. No change to soundstage, spatial ambience, etc. I no longer look down on BT. A very well implemented product and worth the price. Thanks Auris!
