I selected this after reading the ratings and reviews on Choice. It is a fantastic dehumidifier that works extremely well. Not only does Orr remove the moisture from the room but refreshes the room so well. With all the rain we have had I am pleased with this purchase. A healthier and cleaner environment we have now. Always had a dehumidifier. growing up in the US but this is first we have had in Australia. Light enough to move from room to room, direction re control panel very easy to follow plus the drying option for hanging laundry is superb. We want to order a 2nd one as an option of running one in the house and the laundry room. It is not noisey so you can run it in the same you are in if you wish. Over the last few years with more people at home during the day I have had an increase in moisture build up in my home. It has steadily been getting more noticeable with musty smells, mould developing in wet areas and rooms with lesser ventilation, and condensation on internal windows in the morning. After much research I chose this little unit and purchased last week. After only 2 days the difference in ambiance in my home has been remarkable. I have run the unit in various locations in the house. It is easy to move around and fairly inconspicuous. We have run it at night in our bedroom on low and although you can hear the unit run, the noise it makes is not an issue. Although I expect to be hit with a higher electricity bill this month, the extra cost of running this unit is definitely going to save me work cleaning and washing, not to mention an immediate improvement in general health from drier, cleaner air inside. I expect to run this unit more selectively down the track thus reducing electric consumption. It works very hard for the relatively small energy requirement it draws. I am very pleased with this appliance and would absolutely recommend it, it is certainly life changing and living in a cold climate, I am glad I chose the desiccant dehumidifier.

After quite a bit of research into what I needed for a cold climate solution, I settled on this particular model and am extremely happy with it. The compressor type of dehumidifiers do not work as efficiently in the the lower temperatures since their best operating temps are north of 15 degrees whereas our temps are usually around the single digit to barely double digits in Winter. I mistakenly thought that the 10L meant it removed that amount from the air, but the tray only holds 3L so that’s all it can accommodate, which takes longer to get the huge amounts removed, but is also much easier to carry and empty.It works very well, does the job and is the equivalent noise level of a fan, so…very quiet operation. Great product and excellent service. No where you can get premium service like here. Communication between staffs and customer are also excellent. Also the product is absolutely brand new and run as expected, I did the calculation it really extracted 10L or abit more than the specification. It is warm air, you can run it as a heater in the room too. It is surprised me a lot of moisture absorbed and feel inside the room different. My kids can breath better than before when sleeping. The noise is also not loud, if you keep away from you 2 meter in bed room, you can sleep peacefully. It is not so big, you can carry up and down the stair with the handle. Lastly I love this machine so much also the service here is amazing. I will come for the next deal. Thank you

Best dehumidifier on the market

Title says it all - I got this to deal with mould caused by the unprecedented amount of rain we’ve had in NSW, very quick to get the humidity under control and haven’t had issues with mould since. Now when there’s moisture, I put it on high for 2 hours (auto timer) and it takes out litres of water from the air. This has been a great investment. It feels durable and well made. Highly recommend especially for dealing with mould, even though it says cold climates this works great at warm temperatures. Comes with a drainage pipe, I had the unit draining into the shower on full blast overnight to dry up the house initially when dealing with the mould.

Bloody excellent

I read reviews of this and I can say that I am totally impressed with this dehumidifier. I was looking to install a heat lamp and extractor fan in the bathroom to get rid of the steam and humidity after each shower but this is so much better. Before, I would niot be able to see through the steam and it was too cold to have the window open. Now, I put it on just before getting into the shower and after the shower there is no steam to be seen. The walls are wet but I let it run for a couple of hours and the bathroom and towels are dry. I run it in each room and am amazed at how much damp is collected . I am so impressed with this. It is portable and easy to empty. Then, some units came back into stock at the end of July. I rang Appliances Online and they promptly organized delivery of the unit to my place the very next day.The service from Appliances Online is excellent (I've previously bought two fridges from them).This dehumidifer is fantastic! Great for warmer climates too!

Don't be put off by the "cool climate" branding. Desiccating dehumidifiers are the best! Especially if you have mould, rising damp or flooding issues. They are better than heat pump dehumidifiers than taking moisture out of walls and furniture. This one has an operating range that goes all the way up to 40 degrees.It's easy to use, easy to empty and pulls HUGE amounts of moisture out of your home. After having water over the weep holes in the recent floods this has been a total game changer. While insurance companies vacillate over what to do with our damp soaked home, we've been proactive in getting our home back to good health.Really grateful to the people that make this great unit. Love love love.

Perfect for holiday cabin

We bought this to keep on top of musty smell and ‘damp’ cold feeling clothes at our holiday cabin-attached van by the beach in Melbourne.I almost bought the other type more available at good guys etc, until I read this one is better for our cooler temps.Amazed at home much water came out, it filled overnight and more the next days.I’m pleased we got the 10L not any smaller, even though m2 covers more than the space, so don’t need to empty so often. Still very compact and Light to carry to move around.The cabin feels less damp and no more wet feeling clothes in the kids shelf tubsThe noise on max setting is ok overnight, until auto turn off when filled, I would not enjoy it on all night every night though. The best Humidifier available.

I have had dehumidifiers in the tropics, but they had to be isolated in rooms that weren't being used as when in the main living areas on they affected your tastebuds, developing a metallic taste. The Ausclimate model is an enormous improvement on prior products. Its lightweight, easy to empty and does a great job. It has 13 features, love the smell of my rooms after use and the laundry feature is the best of all! My unit has been borrowed by a daughter, whose son had a leaking fish tank, what a difference it made to his room after two cycles. She is also buying one. Can't highly recommend this product enough, its a must have!
