Acceptable Scanner

The good about it is that it inexpensive but a little older. So far as reading codes and erasing it is good. It gives a lot of routine information. for routine work it is good. The buyer cannot be register on the website. Either the maker is not updating the software or cannot be updated. One cannot take part in the community and technical support is not available. It did not recognized VIN of my Ford Windstar 2000 and Trailblazer 2009. Simultaneous graphs cannot be obtained. Graphs cannot be frozen. But in this price it is the best one.

Autel A519 OBD2 Scanner

Bought this to send to my son as his car has broken down at Stafford University. He fired it up. Plugged into the onboard socket and was immediately able to tell that Cylinder 3 was misfiring. He looked up the code and after an hour had replaced the Ignition Coil. How marvelous and excellent is that. It's already saved him 80 quid at the garage and paid for itself. We love it., And its soooo easy to use., If you haven't got one already then this is a brilliant tool .

Great ENGINE fault code reader. Easy to operate & Read.

This fault code reader is compact. Easy to operate and almost idiot proof. The screen is colour and a good size, it displays the information in a concise form without ambiguity. Initially I thought that there were too few controls on the reader but those that are there make navigation through the various options very easy. This tool is ideal for DIY mechanics and professionals alike. I purchased this model after researching a large number of readers and concluded that the model AL519 does everything it says for engine fault code reading. Do not payout for more expensive readers (which in some cases do less). Remember this model is for Engine fault codes only. For ABS and other systems a more advanced model is needed. Highly recommended.

Great Little Tool For Quick Check

Got this one to replace my old AL309 which was my "go to" scan tool for last 6ish years. I personally like quick monitor readyness check feature before you send car to emissions test. Haven't had a car yet where i couldn't read codes or pull live engine data with exception of early production bmw n52 engine where as most of cheaper scan tools cand see radiator outlet temp sensor or couple more specific parameters. One thing I absolutely hate on this scan tool is beeping sound, but that can be turned of. All in all great little quick check tool if you know what you're doing!

Handy to have around the garage

This scanner is very easy to use, well written instruction manual, well built, LED screens are crisp and clear, simple to attach and detach unit from car, and well packaged. Came in very handy to tell me when car was ready for smog inspection after I had made a repair (and cleared error code with the scanner).Saved me a couple of trips to the inspection station by being able to check inspection readiness at home. The only problem I encountered is that you occasionally need to detach unit from car to go back a screen (or to start a new type of scan) - "hitting any key on the unit to go back" or pressing the Escape key didn't always work. But otherwise, this scanner is nice to have in my toolbox.

Not compatible with Australian 5.7 Holden Commodore

Not compatible with Holden Commodore V8 LS1 5.7 as were not fully OBD2 compliant until about 2007. Autel Product order cancelled prior to shipment as confirmed will not work on holden commodore mis mash system of OBD1 ALDL with OBD2 plug. Found very few systems will work on these GM commodores. Recommend Software on ELM Street SOE with ELM327 cable developed by Envyous Customs specifically for Holden commodore variants or Tech 2 scanner with Holden card. Note also found NZ Toyota Hilux Ute 2006-2007 (Thailand assy) not OBD2 compliant as Toyota MBOD system with OBD2 plug.

Working fine like every code reader and Live data is very impotant specialy fuel trim Short and Long,IAC, ITC,RPM,O2 it'd. This scan tool doesn't support ABS and AIR bags and that scan tools is the best like US703 and with aditional software you can ad or remove programs for Japanese, Franch, Europian vehicle, but scan tools has basic program for Ford,GM,Chraysler. It is my opinion, because I have US703 and AL519. Regards, Stevan

Very nice home shop auto scanner.

This is a quality tool. It works as advertised and is fairly easy to use. I also found it to be affordable. It really does quite a lot for the cost. I am glad that I have it as a resource to work on my cars. I am sure that the professional scanners do a lot more, but for what it is, I really am happy with it.
