This is an excellent cream that treats skin irritations and minor wounds. It restores the skin’s barrier and strengthens it. This cream increases the skin’s rate of healing by two times. It has anti-inflammatory properties as well. This cream can be used on skin wounds, skin irritation (including irritation caused by skincare treatments and procedures), minor cuts, burns, blisters, and even diaper rash. I have used this cream on areas of my face that have been irritated by retinol products and experienced great results. This cream heals, hydrates and soothes skin problems quickly. It speeds the healing process and delivers remarkable results. I highly recommend this product.

I’m completely annoyed. This is actually a great cream if you have very dry skin or are using a retinoid. It helps seal in the moisture loss. HOWEVER, it needs to be reformulated so that it can actually be shipped in cold weather months. I received my first bottle in mid December and it was completely separated; meaning the lotion was separated from the spring water in the formula. Is it still usable? Kinda. You have to squeeze all of the water out BEFORE the cream comes out and it’s a mess. Because all of the water squirts out, you’re literally throwing money down the drain!! This stuff is expensive. Avene Cicalfate is for me an essential item to recover from dermatology procedures. I first used it 20 years ago after a chemical peel., and I have used Avene products ever since. Great for restoring Skin Barrier

My skin barrier completely broke down after a reaction to a medicated eye drop I was using post corrective eye surgery. After talking to a derm, she recommended I try this product since it was "bland," meaning there wasn't any fragrance or irritants for my already sensitive skin. I have been dealing with what I am pretty sure is perioral dermatitis near my mouth and under and around my nose from mostly unknown causes. After using this stuff for at least 3 days, I think it may be from a destroyed skin barrier, because this is working!! I've tried literally everything to get my red bumps to go away, and this is the only thing that has helped the longest. My underlying redness has calmed down, I have less bumps that don't come up as often, I'm not as dry/itchy/irritated. RUINED SKIN

Beware using this product on your face for long period of time. I used this cream on my face for 2 months to clear my acne. It cleared my skin initially but after some time it ruined my skin barrier to the point that my whole skin structure changed and 3 months later I am still dealing with painful red swollen face with acne and scarred skin tissue and keratin plugs all over my skin surface. My skin basically looks and feels like wax/plastic. I am not sure why that happened, if this cream dehydrated my skin so much or made it thickener, but it absolutely ruined my face and my life. I want to start off by saying that I have been a long-time facial eczema sufferer. It was never too serious, but it always came and go and I was never able to figure out the exact trigger(s). I tried countless creams/serums etc. but none of them had a lasting effect other than only not triggering my eczema and providing some relief. I always had to go back to steroid creams at some point. I wanted to like this product so bad, I had hopes it would be my saving grace. I have been struggling with a flare of dermatitis on my eyelids & under eyes for over a year now. I've been to multiple allergists & dermatologists, only to be prescribed steroid creams/ointments. anyone who lives with eczema knows the struggles that come with those prescriptions.
