I’ve never been a girl who really follow through, cleanse, tone, serum and moisturise. I work full time and there’s just no time for complex routine in the morning and I’m generally too tired to do complex routine when I’m home. Eau Thermale Avene Gentle Toning Lotion is my go to skincare when I want to keep my pores in top condition in the peak of Summer. I have very sensitive skin and I have to say that this is gentle and light in texture. It’s great for people who wants a 2 in 1 action without the 2 step process. I recommend this to everyone looking for a simple cleansing/ moisturising routine without the hassle of having 50 billion products on their shelf.

PACKAGING: It is a nice dispenser bottle, which you can open and close easily.SMELL: It smells a lot like baby talcum powder. I personally don't mind, but if you don't like that kind of smell, this may not be the type of product for you.TEXTURE: The product is kind of biphasic. Half the product has a milky texture and the other half is really watery. I've been using it every morning and evening for the past month and I've only used one third of the bottle. I believe this will last me 2 months more.RESULTS: The product claims to complete a cleansing routine, working as a last step for removing the remaining dirt and makeup residues; which I found to be true. Nevertheless, it also claimed to calm the skin after a cleansing routine, which I found to be false. My skin didn't feel soothe or calmed after using this toner, but it felt lightly hidratated and prepared for the rest of my skincare routine.PRICE: I would say this toner is pricy considering its average results and high fragance level.

If You Have Sensitive Acne-Prone Skin…

I don’t know what I would do without this toner! I have super sensitive acne-prone skin and have struggled to find products that don’t damage my skin barrier but also get the job done. This toner has been a great addition to my evening skincare routine! It acts as the final step after double cleansing by wiping off the remaining makeup and grime leftover from the day. There is no stinging, cracking, or residue from this product! Best of all, my acne is not irritated or inflamed!

It did good job on dried skin.

Toner that Cleaned, brightened, moistened and made the face Skin feels smooth. But, I think has some floral or kinda baby powder fragrance ? I like the smell/fragrance doesn’t bother me much because it did good work on my skin. I tried drop it on my dry hand skin and the results was plum fresh my hand dried skin. Even this is a toner and I think it will help the skin prep or treatment.

Not for Normal to Oily Skin

The reason that I originally purchased this product was due to the Avène website stating that this product is suitable for all skin types. However, the bottle clearly states “Dry to very dry skin”, which made me leery to purchase the product. However, I decided to give it a try andI confirmed my concerns. This product is much too hydrating for those of us with “Normal to Oily” skin. My complexion felt sticky. I feel that the Avène Mineral spray is a more suitable choice.

I am not a big fan of toners and always feel they can be quite harsh on the skin, so never really use them, and after sampling this I think I will be sticking to my original plan. The fact this was advertised as a 'gentle toner', made me curious to see if I would notice any difference in my skin. When I noticed, however, that there is a heavy amount of fragrance in the ingredients list, I am certain it's not the gentlest of toners. I applied some onto a cotton ball and after cleansing, patted it onto my dry face and upper neck area. My face did sting slightly around the eye area, but I thought it was the product just settling in. Silky And Soft 💗

there are no words to describe how silky this makes my skin feel, i LOVE it! i use this after the Avéne Foaming Cleanser and it's the perfect step before moisturiser, most of the time i just leave the toner on my skin without any moisturiser at all because i'm obsessed with touching my skin afterwards. for context, I have red, oily acne skin type so my texture is very bumpy, this calms and smoothes my skin out, like i've said it feels pure satiny to touch. the look of my skin after applied is it looks very glossy, my skin actually looks like it has this reflective mirror shine which is normally what you want your hair to be like haha, but i love it, makes my skin look nice and healthy, what a dream of a product.💗
