Avalon Organics Biotin B-Complex Thickening Shampoo - 32 fl oz bottle

A shampoo that 'apparently' helps stimulate the scalp to encourage hair growth (whilst remaining natural, organic, and unfragranced) is hard to find, and so once I discovered this ticks all the boxes, I ordered it online immediately. I say apparently not because I doubt its efficacy (it contains Saw Palmetto, Biotin and Ginger Oil - all great for hair growth), but because I've not been able to use it for more than 3 washes to be able to vouch for it myself. It scarcely lathers, it doesn't clean my hair thoroughly enough and unfortunately there's no way I can use this up. With a slightly stronger detergent in here, this could probably give it a run for its money! I even get the same 'tingling' sensation that I get with Briogeo, although it's not as pronounced with Avalon. If you have thin hair I can see this working a whole lot better than it does for thicker hair types such as mine, as thinner hair generally responds well to mild shampoos such as this, whilst thicker hair requires the right balance of sulfate-free detergents to clean thoroughly without stripping...not an easy feat by any means! I ordered some Avalon Organics Biotin thickening shampoo from Fab Products for the first time. I have used this shampoo for over 5 years. When it arrived I noticed the safety seal on the bottle lid was missing and that the shampoo was not as think as it normally is. It was watered down and really runny. I used it once and it made my hair feel like it was coated with something and made my hair feel like straw. I had to wash it again with another shampoo and remove the residue from the Biotin shampoo. it also had an unusual odor to it. I ordered some more Avalon Organics Biotin shampoo from another company and when it arrived it had the safety seal and the shampoo was thick and had no unusual odor. I’ve been using it for a month. At first, I found it made my hair dry. But it’s alright after applying conditioner and hair oil. The scent is not bad and it’s transparent (looks natural and has no colour). My friend told me that my hair looks much healthier than before. So I tried to compare my hair conditions before and after, which is really amazing. I see more baby hairs and feel like my hair is stronger from root (less hair falling out) and my scalp is less oily. I bought the larger size of it and I’ll buy this again!Don’t forget to give me a 🌸thumbs up🌸 if you find my review useful!

I bought this for our daughter because her favorite one, the Mild by Nature is out of stock. I like the ingredients of this shampoo, makes sense that it would help strengthen the roots of the hair, as much as a shampoo could already work, right? Anyway, The scent could use some improvement, my daughter wan't very excited but then again she didnt like the lemon smell of the first shampoo either. I told her that natural products are usually not very strong smelling. I would recommend to the manufacturer to use stronger natural smells, such as coconut, mandarin, lime, etc.This shampoo is also expensive, unfortunately and not a great value. Really looking forward to the other one coming back in stock. My hair was falling like crazy, my scalp was showing, and my mum pointed this out every time I saw her. I've been using this shampoo for a year now, and I went abroad to visit my mum just recently. She was shocked at how thick my hair looks and she cant see my scalp anymore. Even my daughter, who oils my hair every so often, commented on how my hair does not come off on her hands anymore when she's oiling it. This miracle might be due to this shampoo, or the oil I'm using, or the prayers I'm doing several times a day for my hair, or a combination of all 3. I dont know. But I've given this as a gift to my sisters and to my mum now. Phenomenal shampoo! The BEST!

In my 81 years I have used at least 200 different shampoos including numerous that could only be found in Europe where I resided eons ago. I always had very healthy, thick, shiny, silky, bouncy, naturally wavy hair which remained that way no matter what shampoo I used, and I never purchased the same shampoo more than once. My hair began to thin out in my mid 70's and at 80 I started to lose a TREMENDOUS amount to the point where I was seriously considering a wig. Since using this fabulous shampoo, a wig is now out of the picture. It was happenstance that I stumbled upon Avalon Biotin B-Complex, for I was no longer interested in trying or looking at different shampoos. I've never gifted personal care products, but I so wanted others to know about the goodness of this Avalon shampoo, that I gifted it to my niece, grandniece, sister, neighbor and a friend with afro-textured hair. All have very different hair types and all loved it and it has become their shampoo of choice, as well as mine. The scent is a mild citrus, it lathers nicely and rinses thoroughly and easily without any snarls, brush slides through damp hair with ease and dries to a volumized, silky, soft and shiny goodness time after time after time. Of the 200 or so shampoos I've used in my 81 yrs, I can't recall being impressed by any as much as this Avalon Biotin-B.

SEVERE reaction!!! It as terrible!

Seems like others have mentioned this as well, but I had a severe insanely itchy burning rash that began on my ears and scalp and eventually spread to my neck, chest, back, and arms. It was awful! I stopped using a new tea, new food items, and this shampoo/conditioner since I started using them around the same time. It took 2-3 weeks for it to clear up after going to my doctor who told me to take 1 Zyrtec every 12 hours and take Benadryl at night! I tried it again 6 months later and immediately reacted to it again! I assumed that I was allergic to a specific ingredient so I gave it to my husband to use since I didn’t want to waste 2 large bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
