Good size platform means most bowls allow a clear view of the display. I like that you can turn it off rather than relying on the auto-off feature, but the button to do this isn't as usable as it could be and pushing it can shift the scales on the bench top. Doesn't turn itself off prematurely like some units do, which is a relief, especially when weighing multiple ingredients into the same bowl. Seems likely to last better than some cheaper units that tend to develop faults in their controls. The buttons on this unit aren't prone to some of those problems. Could do with a backlighting option but it works fine without this. I like that it runs on AAA batteries, so can use rechargeables.

Avanti Scales An easy fir into any size kitchen.

It is very light weight, easy to wipe clean and very easy to use with only 2 control push buttons.I would have preferred the box it came in to have opened up top from bottom, so it sat in the box. Rather than having to be removed from a side opening, which wasn't that easy to open as very slim box. Plus, I had to keep the box from my previous scales to keep it in, in the drawer for protection.

Great quality, would recommend

Only used this for one week but really enjoying it so far. Feels like great quality, very sensitive weight measurement and easy to clean.

Not a trustworthy scale

Tested display unit in store after previous review of not picking up weighing of salt. Picked up 5ml of salt and I bought the scale. Got home to do some macaron baking and after adding 60ml of almond flour no weight indication. Used another container and it started to pickup weight, but switched off automatically halfway through weighing. Will not recommend this scale for fine measurement of ingredients.

Simple and straightforward to use. Looks sleek and modern. Easy to wipe clean and slim and easy to store. Couldn’t ask for more!

Such a great little kitchen scale

I got the Avanti Digital Kitchen Scale for my mother as a Mother's Day gift, but I've been testing it out too, and I just love it!It's light weight and just the right size and just works like a dream! You have different units of measure for if you have recipes using ounces, instead of grams, which is really useful. And the display is nice and big to read for my mom.Honestly, I don't know why I haven't gotten one years ago! Very impressed! And it's pretty too ;)

Very disappointed

After reading the rave reviews above, I bought this scale for my sourdough baking. What a massive disappointment!It's a good thing I have some idea of what 10 grams of salt should look like, because despite pouring it into the empty bowl on the scale, the weight remains steadfastly at zero.Only after the heap has grown considerably, the scale will suddenly go from zero to say, 27 grams or however much has by then collected in the container.I can live with a weight graduate in 1 gram increments, but this is ridiculous. Will definitely NOT recommend this product.
