There are plenty camps and activities to find spread across the map, with different biomes that provide different materials and ingredients. The large map also feels almost required considering the story focus. I suppose they could have made it work in a more linear way, instead of open world, but it may have taken away from the feeling of restoring a planet and its peoples.Anyway, it's a decent game. It can start to feel repetitive at times, especially if you spend a whole lot of time doing side activities. I recommend breaking up the side stuff with the story, as the story does a decent job of trying to introduce new things into the mix, to keep it from growing too stagnant. Taking a break from the game for a week can also help, after spending a couple dozen hours in it. The same could be said for many games, though, that an intentional break can help prevent burnout.I do notice occasional dips in frame rate, primarily when the game is trying to load a whole area quickly, like when entering a large interior area with many NPCs, but it doesn't happen so frequently that I feel it interferes with the combat or gameplay.If I could give half stars, this rating would probably be a 3.5, but I rounded up instead of down, because I genuinely think it deserves better than a 3. I enjoy the game!

Graphically, it looks amazing on the PS5, but the framerate suffers severely and you really need to use performance mode to really get a good balance of graphics and framerate that won't drive you mad. But the graphics deliver the world of Pandora well, offering new and classic flora and fauna that simply feel like you're playing a movie. But then you start playing the game. First person shooter with RPG elements, open world design, repetitive missions, and it finally clicks that this is a re-skinned Far Cry game. Far Cry has been "samey" for quite sometime, especially after the fun but familiar and bland Far Cry 6, and I guess Ubisoft just couldn't break away from their mold. It's a fine game, but if you've played any Far Cry game in the last 5-7 years, then you'll be adequately familiar with this title. Not quite worth $40, but if you can grab it for $20, you might have a good time.

This is a really, really good game. Pandora looks beautiful. Exploring and doing jungle parkour feels pretty good. The game is also extremely challenging too but i actually really like that because it makes you feel like a NaâVi. Just a warning for more casual gamers. But that is not why i left only 1 star. i just played the first few quest lines and ran into a bug that prevents me from progressing through the story at the Check on the Zoomey crash site objective and im supposed to talk to the dude but nothing ever happens. I checked online and apparently this happens to other poeople and there is no way around it. Please fix this ASAP ubisoft. Until then I canât recommend spending $70 on this.

Your expected to believe that a young alien, with NO training as a warrior is going to be sent on near impossible missions â solo, with a homemade bow. Yeah, right. Next, that weak warrior is going to need to battle with a mechanical warrior AND SEVERAL trained troops â all with machine guns. Oh, and ylu need to guess that you need to shoot at sone small yellow squares to damage that mech warrior â while he us constantly in motion. Of course, youâre immediately discovered and constantly attacked. Forget running away. Itâs not allowed. And thatâs just the first mission. I was never so glad as to get finished with this game. It was typical UBISOFT with the 50+ side quests cut & paste, just renamed each time. The main story was boring & uninteresting. For the most part the voice acting was yuck - something anyone picked off the street could do. The female protagonist voice acting was okay. You couldnât aim the rifle & shotgun & the upgrade & abilities system uninteresting. Iâm not sure why I stuck it out & completed this game. Love this game. Bought it for my husband but it became mine as well. We also got copies for his coworkers. It does have some glitches but work arounds. I love the open world and how it has something for everyone. You can be a warrior attacking every one up front, or go stealth killing from distance or sneaking up on enemies.You can explore and just wander around collecting items or complete mission after mission. There are puzzles and search and find parts. The game is amazing and graphics make it even better.My husband fights the battles for me. While I navigate around and help explore, solve puzzles and upgrade his character. The only thing is we had to do some research for parts of the game. In fact Google was our help throughout the game.
