I love that this doubles as a hand and body wash, because I have chronically dry skin, and this stuff moisturizes like most body washes/hand soaps say they will, but fail to do.What I don’t love is how strong the cherry scent is. Cherry isn’t my favorite product scent to begin with, but it does complement the almond notes well. My problem with it is that it’s just too sweet; it competes with the almond notes. Instead of getting a somewhat mature, earthy fragrance like with most Aveda products, I got a teenage girl vibe. I would just lighten it up a bit.All in all, I’d buy it just for the moisturizing prosperities. The scent will wear off anyway, to no fault of the product itself. If you like a nice, relaxing fragrance in the shower, however, this is not for you.

I love this so much!Living in an area with very harsh water, I was struggling to find something that wouldn’t strip my skin off natural oils, while still giving me that fresh feel.I’ve tried this and could believe how soft my skin was! It didn’t feel tight, itchy or irritated - it was the opposite! My skin felt AMAZING!Speaking of amazing, the smell is heavenly - it’s a very soft and velvety, without smelling artificial.I’ve looked up the ingredients and didn’t find anything that would set me off, the whole list was great for a body wash! I would totally recommend this to everyone who is looking for a great body wash that’s kind on skin!

I initially found it odd that this product is both a hand and body wash. This is something that makes me immediately skeptical of the product. Realistically, I would probably only use this as a body wash. However, when I tried it as such, I did enjoy using it! A little soap goes a long way and there was plenty in the sample bottle for me to use for multiple showers. While cherry almond wouldn't be my go-to scent, I liked this scent more than I thought I would! The one thing that stands out about this product is Aveda's reputation for using natural products. If this reputation is factually accurate, that would be enough of a USP for me to purchase.

I'm very picky with body care items as I tend to shy away from heavily scented or non-"natural" products but I am in LOVE with the Aveda cherry almond body wash! The scent is light but enough to still enjoy without overpowering your senses. It had a clean scent to it with just enough cherry notes to keep it "bright" but not too fruity. I felt like it got my skin clean without stripping it to a super-dried state. My sensitive skin seemed to do okay with it thus far. Best if used in combination with the Aveda Cherry Almond Body Lotion to get the most of the scent. If unsure, it is worth trying the travel size before splurging on a full sized bottle.
First of all, I love that this specifies that it is a HAND and BODY lotion. It can be used for both or either or. As a body wash it has a lightweight feel. I like richer and creamier body washes and of course this is not exactly that BUT it still gave my skin a supple feel. It lathers very well and a little goes a long way. However, I preferred this as a hand wash. I was going through a period of eczema due to weather changes and since I have a tendency to use hot water often, my hands were suffering. They were so cracked and dry. This product came to the rescue. Since using harsh soap made it worse, I ended up using this hand wash and it gave me such relief. It was so soothing and it even made my hands feel softer right after. I really like this product.

It didn't squeeze out a lot of product which is pretty good, but I also felt like it didn't squeeze out enough. It felt very smooth and creamy on my skin and it worked into a nice lather. Wasn't an overbearing lather though. I prefer a really nice soapy lather all over my body which it didn't really give me. The smell is great, exactly the same as the Aveda shampoo; however, the bottle is skinny and tiny compared to any other bottle of any body wash I’ve ever bought. Admittedly it’s been awhile since I bought from Aveda, and It’s my fault I didn’t notice the amount of ounces beforehand. I’m giving it a thumbs down three star only because the price per ounce is ridiculous. Three stars given for smell and feel.
This hand and body wash works very well, but I could only give it three stars because of the very artificial and overly strong cherry scent. It looks as though this is being discontinued. I STRONGLY recommend bringing back the ORIGINAL Cherry Almond Bark products. I absolutely loved that scent and used the conditioner super religiously. Came in a jar with a screw-top lid (just like Nutriplensh and Botanical Repair). I would buy a ton of Cherry Almond Bark if ever expanded into a full line of products.

Once you start to lather this you will be surrounded by a sweet cherry scent. It's super dreamy and not overpowering. The best past is that this is not made with synthetic fragrances! So you know that the scent doesn't have any icky mystery ingredients.I found that this was gentle on the skin, and not at all stripping. Now that it's gotten colder this is a total benefit. My skin feels clean and moisturized after using.I do wish that ammonium lauryl sulfate wasn't one of the first ingredients listed!
