OK. It's not a miracle product, but that said, I had thinning hair due to health nutrition issues when I started using this product. I used the whole line, meaning shampoo, conditioner and a scalp spray you spray on and gently rub in after you get out of the shower. You leave that last product in. It's lightweight and when it dries, you can't tell it's there. All I can say is that it did help me. It took months to see results, but I kept using the line and I did see them. I've heard Rogaine works really well. I've never used it so I can't compare. I will say that while you're using this product, it might be a good idea to also invest in a good nutritional supplement too. I didn't do this until years after and I wish I had. They help. I've heard Rogaine works really well. I've never used it so I can't compare. I will say that while you're using this product, it might be a good idea to also invest in a good nutritional supplement too. I didn't do this until years after and I wish I had. They help. Regardless, I, saw results with just the Aveda Invati Line. I had several surgeries close together and the anesthesia caused hair loss, to the point where I had a full, thick head of hair and then I was practically bald on top. Friends and frenemies commented on my thinning hair and I was embarrassed and desperate. I liked Aveda products already, so I shelled out the money for the Invati Line, which admittedly, isn't cheap. It helped enough that people quit commenting. I couldn't believe how much it had thinned though, so I kept looking for things that might help. My research led me to a multi-vitamin called Viviscal. I was disabled by this point and unable to work and Viviscal was not in my extremely tight budget at $30 for a months supply, so I talked to my personal fairy godmother also known as my mother. She paid for the Viviscal and a gummy vitamin by Boldify, roughly $25, with Biotin in it, a B vitamin (B7) known to help skin, hair and nails. My mother was and still is a my hero in more ways than I could tell you and we are deeply connected. You can't even imagine my gratitude to her and for her. Anyway, things were really going well for my hair situation, It was looking pretty great. And then summer came. Stay with me here, this might be important. So I wanted hot dogs on the grill, but the little button wasn't lighting the flame when I pressed it. So, this being my first only gas grill, I read the directions. Right on the front of the grill, it said if the power button didn't work, light it with a match. I set myself on fire. The gas had apparently built up while I was trying to get the little button to work and when the match hit the flame, well, the top of my head was burnt to a Crisp and all that hair I'd grown was burned right off, as was some of the skin on my scalp. Thank goodness I reacted quickly and put myself out, but I could feel my hair crumbling in my hand as it left the top of my head. Now I was really bald. I wore a headband that covered the top of my head until well into tge fall, and no-one could tell because, by tge Grace of our Creator, I'd only burned a small spot in the middle of my forhead and the top of my hair down to the scalp. My scalp was burned badly enough that I had serious doubts about whether my hair would ever grow back in on some of the areas. That was more than 2 years ago and while I'm so grateful to say my hair is thicker than it's been in years, there's still new growth coming in on the top where it was previously bald. I got really lucky, but I also wholeheartedly believe that my situation would not have been such a happy one without the combination of the Invati product line, the Boldify Gummies and the viviscal multi-vitamin. Now granted, I have a digestive disease and I don't process nutrition the way my body should because of that, but I went from literally being bald on the top of my head to a basically normal head of hair 8 months later, and over two years later, I still have new growth coming in, in places where I wasn't sure hair would grow again. This proves the follicles are still there, and though maybe damage was done, the right nutrients are helping the hair to regrow. If it can happen for me, under those conditions, well, I'd say almost anyone who has a problem of thinning hair has a good chance if they can afford the cost of it. If one could at least get the Invati shampoo and scalp tonic, then if you need to cut costs, maybe save the conditioner for later. That's what I would do. Then purchase at least the Viviscal and if you can, when you can, get the Boldify gummies.I can't guarantee you results. Let's face it, no-one can. I can only tell you what worked for me. I've had a lot of surgeries, watching my hair, particularly on the top of my head become thinner and thinner. And maybe it was vanity, but I tried a Lot of different stuff. I didn't try Rogaine because I didn't believe all the hype, and perhaps I should have, we'll never know. I should mention that I have heard good things about it since then. from what I consider reliable sources. I do know for sure what I just described to you did work and is still working for me. Just to be clear, No-one is paying me to say this, I didn't get any free products, I just want it known that the only thing I am getting out of this is the hope that my experience might help someone else in this same position as I was in. I know this was long-winded but if you're still reading this at this point, I'd say you might have some thinning hair. This is really personal to me and if I look over it and try to edit it, it may never get sent because it's a touchy subject for me, So I'm just going to send it as is and hope people will understand my rambling. Good luck to you all and if it helps just one person, it was worth it.

I used Aveda off and on since the 1980s. As I have gotten older and starting seeing my hair thinning I wondered if there would ever be products for this issue that weren’t drugs or horse pill supplements. I found the invariant line at my salon and decided to try it. The shampoo is very good. Whether it grows hair or not I cannot say but it makes my hair look good and works well with the scalp treatment and conditioner. The scalp treatment is really the secret to the system but I also like the shampoo and conditioner. I also use other shampoos and conditioners from their line as well to change things up. They are definitely worth the money and better than store bought brands.

I've been a mostly loyal Aveda user for over 20 years. I keep trying to find a more affordable option but keep coming back because I've loved their products. No more. This 6.7 oz for this price is ridiculous! I didn't pay attention to how they've reduced the amount of product, by at least 30%, from the older bottle sizes, my bad, but this shrunken size for the same already high price is just too much. Plus, the product is not even that effective anymore, and certainly not for this ridiculous price. Not to mention how they keep losing my member rewards. I've never collected a point inn 2 decades. Arrivederci Aveda.

I've found this to be super duper rich so less is more with this. I also found that the deep nourishing results last right through! It's so nourishing that it could even be a little heavy if I leave it for too long and if I used too much. So I do find that less is better with this. Also, I advice This is better left away from scalp even thought I love the way Invati products treat my scalp to make it healthier and with a stop to my hair loss. I do use this on the roots as well as the ends then I find that just a miniscule amount is needed for thorough results. It's rich!TipsMy hair looks so shiny after using this but I think my hair looks even better afterIdeal forIdeal for those with very dry hair and also damaged hair!
I went in to the Aveda store in search of a shampoo to help with my itchy scalp. The salesperson immediately led me to the Aveda Invati products saying they were AMAZING. I told her I used Oribe and loved it but she assured me this product was far superior. I purchased the whole product line thinking it would live up to her hype and I was sorely disappointed.First of all, it has done nothing to relieve my itchy scalp. Secondly, she didn't warn me that it doesn't lather so that was a surprise when I went to use it. Because it doesn't lather, it's really hard to tell which part of your hair has been sufficiently washed so I end up using more and more with no better results. After following it up with the conditioner and drying my hair, my hair still looked unwashed (kind of greasy) and again, my scalp still itched. I stuck with it for a month and am still unconvinced that this product really does anything at all.I definitely will not purchase again and will return to other products I've used from Davines, Oribe, and Kevin Murphy with much better results.
I have fine, thin hair which used to be very thick until I lost half my hair from using a well known product line for curly hair that now has a class action lawsuit against it. In an effort to stop shedding, regrow and fix the damage these products caused, I used natural ingredients (amla, fenugreek and others) mixed in deep conditioners that boost hair growth along with another shampoo that was supposed to stop shedding. The other shampoo didn't stop shedding but the natural ingredients did if I used them consistently, along with new growth. I did this routine for a year. The problem was that I didn't have the time to keep up with the deep conditioning every time I washed my hair which is every 4 days. The problem was that I didn't have the time to keep up with the deep conditioning every time I washed my hair which is every 4 days. I ended up getting covid and started loosing a shockingly large amount of hair which I couldn't afford to do. My friend also had covid at the same time and was losing a larger amount than I was. Hair would fall out of her scalp while just sitting and visiting with me - It was crazy! I started using the Invati shampoo and within 2 to 3 washings my hair stopped shedding and I now barely lose any hair at all. Definitely far under the 100 hairs a day that's normal. I also see a ton of baby hairs growing all over my head. My friend has the same result and I just ordered some of the shampoo for my mother-in-law because she loses an excess amount. I see other people complaining that it doesn't lather. The trick to getting it to lather is making sure your hair is extremely wet. I also put it in sections of my hair directly on the scalp and scrub it around gently but vigorously and I end up with a ton of lather. Once in awhile I have to sprinkle a little extra water on my hair if I didn't seem to get enough to begin with. I was also having a lot of oiliness with the last 2 shampoos I was using and Invati has stopped the oiliness. I've been using the shampoo for approximately 9 months and will never stop using it. Aveda, please don't change the formula!
Aveda haircare is generally amazing, but this is a really disappointing product. Being called an exfoliating shampoo I thought it would cleanse my scalp really well and be good for my fine hair. It's absolutely terrible, despite giving it a good few attempts. The product feels like putting a light conditioner on my scalp, in fact a couple of times I've double checked the bottle again to make sure that I'm actually using the shampoo. I rinse and rinse, but it leaves an oily residue (that can only be washed out with a different shampoo). The hair is left lank and scalp feels unclean and like it needs a good wash! After an in person consultation about my hair loss & fine hair I was advised to purchase the full Invati Range plus an intensive moisturising mask, a curly prep spray, curl gelee & hair oil. I have followed both the directions of the consultant & the instructions on the bottles to the letter but my natural corkscrew curls are now lank, dry, frizzy waves and furthermore, there has been zero effect on my hair loss. My hair does feel slightly thicker after using the shampoo, conditioner & scalp revitaliser, but it also has a horrible rough, dry texture to it. We spent almost £400 on these products, after years of distressing hair loss, not money we could afford but my husband would have paid any amount to see my hair improve. So far so good! I've been using this shampoo for a few years now and I feel great with my scalp and my hair. So I get the 250ml size for my mom to try since her hair has been thinning too much because of aging and as far as I remember in the past 10 years she had always has the problem in finding the right shampoo. I have a very straight hair and fine hair , same as my mom. My scalp got oily and the hair start thinning because of my medical condition with thyroid hormones and before that I had quite thick, straight and fine hair.
