For years, the stress relief body wash and lotion have been my favorite- the scent is soft and comforting and so natural feeling. The consistency of the body wash had a "lotion-y" feel that suds well. Aveeno claims to have given it a "new look" with the same formula but that is not the case. They removed the ylang ylang and chamomile from the formula and the lavender scent is incredibly strong and artificial smelling. The consistency is now super soapy and very drying on the skin. It feels like everywhere I turn skincare companies are completely changing their staple products and degrading their quality. This reinvention is the most disappointing. Why would Aveeno do this to such a (formerly) amazing product line?

I thought I was ordering a replacement bottle of my favorite body wash ever!!! When I opened the bottle for the first time I instantly went to my nearly empty bottle in the shower and did a smell test, hoping my nose just caught whiff of something off about the packaging. NOPE. Upon reading reviews my suspicions were sadly correct. New bad smelling formula! :( Aveeno - WHY WHY WHY did you change a wonderfully perfect smelling formula that would keep me a customer for life? I will not be using this new formula. Bring the old formula back!!!!!

I just picked it up from Walmart tonight. I was excited to take my shower, as I just ran out of my purple top body wash. It smells like chemicals. Not relaxing or stress relieving at all! The old formula was a silky, white color, smooth on the skin, and chemical free in terms of smell. This new formula is clear, and it reeks! What a shame. I have been using this body wash for several years, and recently opened a new bottle to find that it’s changed. The updated ingredient list is not reflected on Aveeno’s website! The generic “fragrance” is now higher on the ingredient list, as well as some other changes. The scent is significantly different and, to me, unpleasant. Most notably, this updated formula aggravates my allergies and causes sinus congestion and rash! I have used this body wash for years without issue and recommended it to others with sensitive skin - sadly, no more.I’m disappointed that Aveeno did not even indicate on the packaging that the formula was different. This review asks whether Aveeno is a brand that I trust - it isn’t anymore.
