Avene Cleansing Foam 150ml

I have used this on my sensitive skin for a few years, over which time it’s become a staple in my bathroom. So imagine my disappointment when I repurchased it in Jan ‘23 to find the formula has changed - and it was £4 more expensive to boot. The creamy mousse used to feel so rich and luxurious. I’d take my time massaging it over my face as it felt so pampering, plus it smelled divine. It now smells astringent, like chemicals, and the full, foamy texture disappears as soon as I put it on my face. You’ve lost a life long fan, Avene. I’ll be looking elsewhere from now on.

I've been using the Avene Cleansing Foam for just over 2 weeks every morning. My first thoughts were that it was just airy foam that couldn't possible do anything but I was wrong. It definitely left my skin feeling clean and hydrated, no drying out tightness. I like the easy to use pump, just one squirt did my whole face. The pack seems to be lasting a long time. I preferred using it on wet skin. My only negativity was the smell that first hits you when it goes on but that only lasts a second or two, some may call it a refreshing scent but for me it was a bit too powerful for a cleanser. A bit on the expensive side so try and buy when on special.

I have very sensitive skin that breaks out easily and this cleanser works well in my nightly cleaning routine. I do not wear makeup so I cannot attest to its’ ability to remove but it doesn’t over-strip the skin. It also has a very pleasant scent, so keep that in mind if you do not want anything with fragrance.
