Avene Retrinal 0.05 Cream 30ml

So far so good I’ve used it for about 3 weeks. My 11 lines near my eyebrows are gone while others have taken their time to work. I used to use Inkey list and made the switch. The cost is not the best but you get what you pay for and it’s worth it. This is the only expensive product I use in my skincare routine and it’s still under 100 I’ve noticed a difference as well . Does have a smell like most retinal/retinol . Make sure to use sunscreen during the day . Never use this product during the day. One last thing this absorbs very well too and it doesn’t make your face as sensitive as other retinol/retinal I really recommend to women/men over 26

This is hands down the best retinol-type product I’ve ever tried. I have been using it for several years now and will keep repurchasing. I have sensitive-acne prone skin that is showing some signs of aging, and this helps with both without irritation. Note that this product does exist in other countries two, it just gets marketed by other names and it’s actually sold quite a bit cheaper everywhere else, so I now buy it when I’m in LATAM.

I wanted to try a retinol-type product, and this got very good reviews. And now I know why! It's gentle enough to use every night, but I saw subtle improvements in less than a month :-) The scent is very mild, and the cream is rich enough that I didn't need to use a moisturizer afterwards. It caused no irritation or redness, either.I'll use up this bottle, but I've already purchased the Avene RetrinAl 0.1 to step up my routine (fingers are crossed that it's as good as the RetrinAl 0.05!).

An everyday Retinol

I have sensitive skin and have tried many anti-aging products (Curology, Cerave, etc) all of which have been irritating. This is the first product I’ve used that I’ve been able to use without irritation. I can use it every day, and have been for the past 4 weeks. I am already seeing an improvement in the texture of my skin, and my pores on my nose look smaller. I think I can see an improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles as well. This is definitely a high quality product, and I will definitely look to add other Avene products into my skincare routine.

Great retinol substitute for sensitive skin

I tried a couple of retinal creams, and had breakouts and/or burning. Having used many Avene products with great results, I took their skin quiz online, and this product was recommended. It is a great alternative to retinol, at a very low dosage so you can start to build use. I've had great success with it, and it is helping with fine lines around my eyes. I can use it every night with absolutely no irritation.

Improved my skin's appearance without irritation

I have extremely fair and sensitive skin. I've never been able to use over the counter retinol products due to the severe redness and irritation they caused for me. This product I can use nightly and I have zero irritation or redness. Over the past 3 weeks I've used it every night and have noticed a lovely improvement in the appearance of fine lines, as well general vibrance and feel of my skin. I sold, and will be a regular user from this point forward.

Inconsistent quality of product

It’s strange how the product quality seems different in each bottle! I bought my first bottle and used it every other day for a few weeks and it worked great, loved how smooth and bright my face was. I was visiting my daughter in another city and I gave her the bottle to try. I ordered another one for myself when i returned, I noticed it had a bit of an odor to it but I thought maybe that’s what the other bottle was like but almost immediately I noticed it made me break out on my forehead and cheeks. It seems off. I feel like the quality isn’t consistent which is a concern.

It's great, BUUTTTT...

Let me start off saying I really DO like this! I have 36yo DRY skin and I was getting a little peeling and dry patches from my Rx Tret. once a week, but had zero irritation using this every night! It's a pretty thick cream consistency so not the easiest to spread on its own IMO. I like to use a serum before this Retrinal .5% to help it glide on the skin easier. One pump usually does it, but sometimes I add just a tiny bit more if I feel like I didn't get even coverage. It's definitely a long term product so don't expect immediate results. I DO wish Ulta carried the 1.0 version of this instead of just the .5%.

Long lasting - effects and bottles too

Great quality, very nice feeling while applying. I can see the skin getting tighter and brighter with it, pores are getting smaller but this is a process I wasn’t expecting to happen overnight. I like that the 0.05 allows my skin that tends to be sensitive to ease into the retinaldehydes from strong retinols. But I’ve already got one new bottle each with 0.05 and 0.1 to start increasing the strength on my nose and forehead area since they’re less sensitive to 0.05 already. I love that one bottle lasted me 3.5 month of daily use 🎉
