Avene Thermal Water is an ultra-fine thermal water mist. It claims to have a unique mineral composition and postbiotics (think of probiotics, they produce metabolites called postbiotics!) in its thermal water which makes it hydrating to the skin. I have dry, sensitive skin and I found it worked best as my first toner in my AM and PM routines. Once I finished cleansing, I would spray this liberally on my face and neck before applying actives and serums. It is also great as a facial mist throughout the day, especially in hot weather, after reapplying sunscreen or powder (applying a mist after powdering gives the skin a 'skin-like' look, not too dewy, just hydrated). The pros: this is perfect for dry, sensitive skin and it truly did soften my skin! It feels like when ... MoreAvene Thermal Water is an ultra-fine thermal water mist. The cons: although I loved it, the price for the product outweighs its benefits compared to toners/serums formulated with actives (like hyaluronic acid, licorice root, etc) that softened my skin AND gave it additional benefits. I feel like this product would be great as an 'in addition to' product, but I love my toners and serums being pack full of actives!

I was skeptical at first, but after buying a bottle at Ulta while they had a nice coupon going on I’m convinced that this will be an essential step to my skincare routine! Your skin absorbs other products better when it’s still wet. I love how fine the mist is from this bottle, and it’s literally just nice water. After patting it in it dries within a few minutes minute and leaves my face feeling baby soft and smooth. I also spray before putting on skin soothing toner, then my face lotion, layering while my face is still wet. There’s also no smell to it, so it really is perfect for people with sensitive skin.

Otherwise, I have not thought very highly of splashing water on my face. If it's not about washing your eyes in the morning. However, I got this product for free with another product and then I tried it. And was very positively surprised. I have dry and sensitive skin and this spray had a great soothing effect on the irritations. Since the bottle was small and ran out quickly, I tried another company's, which was not half as good, the skin remained tight. So, there's something about it that works.

I purchased this to see if there would be a difference using thermal water on my face rather than tap water. I noticed a difference! This thermal water feels so refreshing and cooling on my skin during my morning skincare routine! I have noticed less breakouts when using this rather than the tap water at my home. I feel so luxe and feminine when I apply this to my skin. The aerosol can makes it very easy to use. This one can has also lasted me months, may I add! I will be repurchasing! I recommend this over your sink water, it’s a game changer!
Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray Is a lightweight soothing hydrating mist that I always carry in my handbag and when I travel. It does so much ! It refreshes, hydrates, soothes ( it’s so calming on red irritated skin ) I recommend it to those with sensitive skin, people who suffer from Rosacea or Psoriasis. You can use it after you cleanse your face or if you have dry skin as a make up setting spray. This is the base ingredient in all of Avene’s skincare. I love this small 50 ml travel size. The spray also comes In 2 larger sizes as well.
Meh, what can I say-- personally I think it's a bit of a gimmick to sell water in a spray can. Not only is it wasteful for our environment, but it's not really a necessary step in your routine. I get that water in spray format might come in handy with makeup, and that's about the only time I've found this to be truly helpful. It is nice to spray a bit on your blending sponges or on your brushes to help the product 'stick' provide a more 'translucent', even finish. Other than that, this product doesn't contain any ingredients that are going to 'tone' your skin or provide really any beneficial skincare progress. Instead of adding an unnecessary product to your routine, just dip your brushes/sponges in tap (or filtered) water for the same effect. I personally prefer to ... I personally prefer to stick to a true 'toner' that is pH balancing and meant for treatment vs. niche. I don't hate this product by any means, it's just not necessary. Recommend? Nah. Save the money ( environment)
I can’t tell you exactly why this is so good, like the science of it all. All I can say is that nothing will calm my itchy, irritated eyes down better than a spritz of this. It’s almost annoying, because who wants to pay for a can of water- but for real, this it more than that. I do spray it on my face as like a toner almost (prep step) when I’m trying to keep things simple, or I’ll use it after I get my makeup on. But truly, the biggest reason I keep this on hand is for my eyes. They get really irritated easily, itchy and red, and this is the only thing that has offered relief and helped to stop the itch (and the awful urge to dig into your eyes with your fists). It has my loyalty.
At 42, I began to deal with cystic/nodular acne. So, my dermatologist prescribed me acne treatments (Doxycycline, Clindamycin topical gel, retinol) to treat my acne. The treatments caused my skin to react by becoming dry, flaky and itchy. Redness on my cheeks also appeared. This moisturizer targeted these reactions amazingly well. It soothes my skin - reduces redness and itchy skin and hydrates my skin - removes my dry and flaky skin! After applying this moisturizer, I can easily apply my makeup without any of these skin irritations. All of my skin's reactions from the treatments are gone - like magic! I use in combination with the Cleanance Hydra soothing face wash and thermal spring water toner spray. The scent of the products are amazing too! Would recommend to ... I purchased this based on the glowing reviews as my work place is very dry. It feels very nice after using for a few minutes, but my face seems to get dry very quickly right away. I'm not sure that my expectations simply aren't out of line as the single ingredient in it is: water. However, the reviews indicate this is a miracle. Maybe there is some trick I'm missing that leads to it not being needed all day long. Generally speaking, my skin isn't super dry. It's just at work. So, I think I'll use this up and look for something else with a little more to it.
