I bought this thinking that the finish is similar to the older version, but I regret that I spent my money on this. If you apply the recommended amount in order to offer the full protection, you'll shine like a disco globe. It's sticky, greasy and has a yellow tint that stains the clothes to a degree that cannot be saved by washing them. The only thing I cannot blame is the offered protection .For people with sensitive skin: it has parfume !!!

I was looking for a decent SPF for a long time until I tried this one. The main concern for me is that it needs to create a good makeup base. I start work really early in the morning and I don't have the time to wait until the sunscreen sinks into my skin. This one is really good for that purpose. It is lightweight, gets instantly absorbed and my foundation applies brilliantly over it. The scent is not overpowering and it does not leave a white film on my skin. It dries matte which I was looking for anyway. To add that is SPF 50? Purely amazing. Totally recommend.

I absolutely love this SPF face cream. I was a bit wary initially as it’s tinted and I’m brown skinned which has proved tricky to find suitable tinted creams that blend well with my skin tone. On initial application (of which a small amount is needed, about 2/3 pea sized) I thought it looked quite pastel on my face and wouldn’t work. However after a few minutes, the colour settled and blended evenly, giving a similar finish to a cc cream! Don't be fooled this product is so good!! I have acne prone sensitive skin which is also quite until summer and this product doesn't break me out and keeps me skin super hydrated. However, I HATE THE PUMP. It is so unreliable sometime I can get the amount of product I need but others nothing comes out of the pump even though it has only just been opened. So I have to store it upside down in the hope I can product out of it everyday. Other than that I would recommend definitely protects the skin and prevents sunburn. Avene pleaseeee put this in squeezable bottle it would be 5/5 then.

I’m not sure how it would be for people with darker skin, I think it is a mineral spf rather than a chemical one so that might be the issue. In summary, this product is a high duty product with strong protection, but I wouldn't use it for everyday use. I appreciate the use of newer filters, and compared to the Avene Intensive Protect, it is less greasy by a bit. It clumps up at the eyebrows and has a white/yellow cast to it. While I understand this added tint is for blue light protection purposes, I think making it less obvious or even leaving the tint to the tinted version of the product would be better, as the new filter triasorb is there for a reason. While it is slightly greasy and quite shiny, I think you could do with a bit of setting powder, but there are better sunscreens out there that is more enjoyable to use daily.
I’ve previously purchased the older formulation of this SPF and found it worked very well. This new formulation does not work the same. The old version was lovely and matte whereas this one turns me into a grease ball within a couple of hours! It’s a pale orange colour and when I come to remove it at the end of the day, it doesn’t come off clear and I feel it would transfer if I was to wear white clothing. It hasn’t broken me out and it doesn’t irritate my eyes so I will continue to use it for now as I don’t want to waste it as it wasn’t cheap!
I love Avene products so was pleased to see this as the summer months begin. I find foundation to heavy and need a protective moisturiser but also need coverage to prevent sun burn. I am very blemish prone and have greasy skin. This was great as it’s tinted and not oily so didn’t bring me out in spots like sun creams can. It’s 50 SPF which is perfect for the face. It’s easy to apply and not to thick. Doesn’t leave you with a horrid residue on your skin. Nice smell. You don’t need much a little goes a long way. I will definitely use again. And a bonus being environmentally conscious.
It is a superbly effective and intensely protective facial sun care cream to protect skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays! The texture or consistency is very light yet very effective in providing long lasting hydration and moisturisation to the skin! It does not leave any greasiness or shiny layer behind after applying it! It has got SPF50+ which makes it brilliant for providing effective sun protection to skin! It is suitable for oily, blemish prone skin so gives me smooth matt surface to put makeup on! Just apply on clean skin and throughout the day whenever needed! Reapply every couple of hours to guard the skin from harmful sun exposure!
