TL; DR: This is my holy grail cleanser.I have extremely sensitive skin that erupts into horrible pimples & cystic acne if you even look at it the wrong way, and especially the week before my period. This cleanser has been invaluable in undoing a decade-long vicious and painful cycle by creating a truly clean slate for my face.Combined with cycling tretinoin/glycolic acid/rest at night and applying La Roche Posay's Cicaplast Balm daily, I'm in hydrated & clear skin heaven. Honestly the best my skin has looked in years.I cannot recommend this cleanser enough--for all skin types & ages, but especially if you have super sensitive skin.

I bought this for such a long time to cleanse my face but then the formula changed. I bought it anyway willing to give the new formula a chance, because I thought surely it couldn’t be too different, however over time it has given me such red cheeks, almost like rosacea. I tried swapping other things out in my skincare routine thinking it must be other things and I really didn’t think it could be this cleanser. However, once I swapped the new formula avene cleanser out, my redness has started to disappear. (Thank goodness!) As I said, this was after prolonged use of using this cleanser on my face just once a day every evening, so just be aware. However my house mate has just tried using what I had left in the bottle - she has less sensitive skin than me - but after just a week she says she has developed eczema around her eyes.Sure this would be no problem as a body cleanser, just be aware when using it for your face. Previous formula was amazing and fantastic to cleanse my face. This new formula not so much. For body use instead. (and to be fair to the packaging, this has also changed to have a picture of a shower on there too which may indicate more suitable for the body (even if it does say for face too)).Thankfully I’ve managed to find a different Korean cleanser that suits me and my facial needs. I’m completely satisfied with how clean-soft-healthy my skin feels when using it. I confess that I’ve never liked applying body lotions, creams or oils. It has protected my skin while experiencing harsh below cero winters, during excruciating humid periods, when I was living in a dessert-dry city; literally in every continent that I’ve lived. Sometimes I use it also as a facial wash and I’m also satisfied with its effects because it doesn’t leave my skin oily or “squeaky-clean”, it just has the right balance. It has never clogged my pores and it feels luxurious. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with cancer, began chemotherapy and immunotherapy simultaneously. The oncologists emphasized that I had to maintain my skin really moisturized to avoid small cuts that could lead to infection. That’s when this cleansing oil was really put to the test. I kept using it and my skin never got cracked or extremely dry, even while being both on chemo and inmmunotherapies. And as you guess it I didn’t use any body moisturizer. The only thing that I did was change the shower filter more often than before the cancer diagnose. This product is not sold where I’m currently living. You have no idea how grateful I am that LovelySkin continues to have it on stock, even during the pandemic, and I was allow to obtain it during the last two years. The fact that it comes in a pump bottle was really relevant in this season of my life because it ensured that I would only touch the amount of oil to be used. Worth every penny!
