We bought this about 3 months ago and things had been going well until the last week. A couple of bottles seemed really hot on my wrist so I used a thermometer to check the temp and they were 113°F! I called Philips to report the issue and after they verified I was using it correctly they said I’d have to send it back and then they’d send a replacement (a process that can take up to 10 days they said). Well when you use a bottle warmer multiple times a day you can’t be without it for 10 days. Luckily target has an AWESOME return/exchange policy if you’re buying/getting this off of a registry so we’re going to return it and try a different brand. I’m just mad that I wasted 4oz of milk and that it could’ve hurt my son!

I initially purchased this while using dr. Brown bottles narrow bottles, and found that the milk temperature wasn’t very consistent. Once my baby starting using AVENT wide neck bottles, the temperature is perfect (but you have to take out the bottle immediately when it’s reach temperature, otherwise the milk will continue to get more warm the longer it’s left in the warmer). Wish it could beep or play music (or have option to turn on/off music) when the temperature is reached. I tried other warmers which had a ton of features.. but I like this one, it’s easy to use and easy to explain how to use to the caretaker. Highly recommend!

I’m an aspiring minimalist, I thought a bottle warmer would be an “extra” purchase that I didn’t need. Didn’t even buy one until baby was almost 3 weeks old. After breastfeeding didn’t go as planned and having to use both formula and pumped breast milk to feed baby, we used “mug of hot water” to warm bottles - which took forever, was annoying, and felt really wasteful. Then we got this puppy; now I can’t imagine being without it! It’s easy to use, quick to set up, and does its job perfectly. I use the glass Avent bottles (so far just the 4 ounce small ones, but I imagine the bigger ones are the same) and the glass does get kinda hot sometimes but the milk is an appropriate temperature inside. It does work with different materials: plastic, glass, and silicone bottles - the manual says it’s comparable with all these, just to add more time for silicone. 2. There is an indicator for when it’s ready, it’s just pretty low key (a light instead of sound). The ring around the power button acts like a timer starting out with a quarter blinking and when the ring is full and no longer blinking, it’s done. 3. It is much more efficient than “mug of hot water”! I always hated having to refill the mug every two seconds after it cooled down and this heats up on its own and then cools down when you turn it off. This makes my life easier with a newborn who won’t breastfeed and if you think it would be worth it for you, then I highly recommend!

We were using a hot mug of water to warm bottles which could sometimes take forever with reheating the water over and over to get it just right. Literally I can make a 5oz bottle and have is perfectly 98F- 103F in 3 minutes. It is super helpful overnight with bottles. Cut down 10 mins of my previous warning method (which all moms and dads know 10 extra of sleep does make a difference). I say it is worth the money spent for us. But we do warm every bottle, so if you are on the fence consider how much you might be using it anyway. One thing to note. Do not pour warm water into the basin. The bottle will get too hot. I really wanted this to work for me… It is advertised to have sensors to stop warming the milk in order to avoid overheating the milk. I thoroughly read the instructions and followed it as advised. Right when the ring was solid, I took out the bottle, swirled the milk and did a test drip on my forearm. Thank God I did because it felt like boiling water. It took 15 minutes for the milk to cook down to a tolerable temperature. I reread the instructions and ended up making another bottle with the same result. I bought it to make feedings become nice and easy but it only turned it more stressful.

Our experience was that it takes a lot longer to heat milk in a bottle or food in the machine than in the microwave or just in a regular water bath on the stove top. For baby food it’s hard to find a container that fits into the machine too as it’s small and round. We used the product with Phillips bottles. If it would have heated up the food in less than five minutes I’d be more satisfied but it took almost half an hour for just half a jar of baby food stored in the fridge. It also lacks a times. The product is still the best solution out there, but it under delivered my expectations.The design is nice , ergonomic, and I like the warming up solution with a bit of water. I bought this because I have 2 littles that are using bottles. I’ve had not problem with the timing of warming bottles, it’s the temperature that is concerning. This is annoying because sometimes the milk is perfect and other times it’s super hot that I’m blowing into the milk and you can see the steam coming out. Also adding water into the kettle, it would be much more useful at 3am to have a leveler like a coffee pot to see how much water youre putting in versus trying to look into the kettle and match the water to the height of the milk. It’s difficult to see. Hoping to return this for something more safe (warming wise)
