Lit from Within Illuminating Body Serum by B.Tan for Unisex - 8 oz Serum

I bought this gem at my local RiteAid for like $9 I believe. A steal! I wanted hydration w/actives to help even skintone and diminish hyper-pigmentation. There are a few different serums in this b.fresh body serum line, but I opted for the lit from within one as it targets what my concerns goals were; and as it follows, it contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, licorice root, vitamin c! This puppy is stacked! And lucky for me, it's non-sticky, completely dries down, but it's hydrating enough that I don't have to put a body lotion or cream over top, that's just optional. Best time to apply this is straight out of the shower or bath. It has a fresh, citrus scent that doesn't irritate my skin and diminishes after about a half hour of wear. Cooling

I have been using this about a week and while I can't say if I have less dark spots or not, I will say that this stuff is fantastic. It's a "serum" so it is more watery than a lotion but still thick enough to easily apply. It absorbs in right away and there is no sticky feeling. It actually makes my skin feel so good. The should have called it cool from within because it makes my skin feel so cool and hydrated. I used it all over after being out in the sun and it gives such a cool clean feeling to the skin. It makes it feel very hydrated and just really good. It has a very light scent also. There is no glitter or color in it either. Great product! I look forward to trying more products from this brand.

Lit from within

I have a ton of lotions and creams at home all the time because I like to try all the products I run across! This struck me as being little different because I often feel even when I just moisturize my skin, it still appears dry. I like a more dewy look and figured it was worth a try. Sure enough, it was light and refreshing, and not the least bit sticky. It went on smoothly and did give my skin a more hydrated look. My skin can be sensitive, but I had no reactions at all. This is a nice product to add to my routine, especially this summer wearing shorter sleeves, my arms will look great!

Love it!

This serum has everything! It has so many ingredients that do wonders for the skin. And I was skeptical, but it’s really working! My dark spots are disappearing, and my skin seems smoother and tighter than ever. I really needed to bring some elasticity back to my thighs, and I can see it happening already. Also, this stuff smells delicious. It feels so good going on, and it absorbs really well. Of course I love that it’s cruelty free too! Overall, such a great product; I would definitely buy more and recommend to others.

Love the idea, but not so much the actual product

I was super excited when I got this but have yet to see any results of ‘lighting me from within’. No change to any darker pigment spots I have, perhaps I need to use it longer (?) Upon going to use it I saw there was an extra ‘tamper proof’ safety cover under the cap, which I really appreciated. It feels more watery than creamy in its consistency, and has a slightly off putting smell, like soap/sunscreen. It also had a sticky feeling after applying, although that disappeared after about a minute of it soaking into the skin. If you are planning to use this as it’s intended ‘serum’ use, then be prepared to still want to lather on an actual moisturizer afterwards. If I end up seeing a lighter appearance in any dark spots I would continue to use, otherwise, I will not.

Radiate Body Serum

I’ve been using lit from within for a few weeks now and I can’t get enough of it. The packaging is nice and bright to match the uses for this product. This is a body serum so it feels like a serum not a lotion. It is thin like a serum yet very moisturizing like a lotion. It applies very easily and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. It dries and absorbs quickly and does not leave a sticky or greasy residue behind. I was excited to try this especially after the beach. I had dark sun spots on my chest and have been using this on that ever since I got it. I have noticed a lighter pigment to the dark spots. Why fragrance???

I was specifically looking for a body lotion/serum with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and licorice root extract combined so that I could stop using up small bottles of the individual serums. I was excited to find this budget-friendly lotion and to see that it also has salicylic acid and panthenol (B5) in it. I do think the vitamin C/ascorbic acid is a marketing ploy; vitamin C is difficult to formulate and is extremely unstable, specifically in water - which is the first ingredient listed. It also requires a very specific pH to be effective — the pH of this product is not listed, which is a bad sign. I personally have no interest in using vitamin C, so I actually prefer knowing that it’s not effective. It has a good texture and feels nice going on, but I’m terrified of what it’ll do to my skin! If this did not have fragrance, I would probably buy it over & over again.

Works Wonders

My skin is extremely sensitive. On my elbows and feet, I also have psoriasis. It's amazing how well they all work! There is no stickiness or thickness to them. They don't have a greasy texture. Because they are so light, they are absorbed quickly by my skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth. I have actually seen a difference in my elbows! People don't seem to understand how important that is... Psoriasis has plagued me for years, and I've tried so many different things to treat it. I did not even intend for this to be helpful for that, cuz nothing has ever worked. Just wanted lotion for my overall body in general... And yet somehow it is helping my psoriasis! This stuff is amazing & I am over the moon excited about it.
