18m loves it!

I don’t get the negative reviews. I purchased for my 18m old little guy and he loves it. He does need a little help clearing the board. He can do it with both hands. The writing isn’t super dark but you can easily see it. So I’m Not sure why others are complaining. This toy is big and less than $20 and you get features that don’t come with the small ones. You get the 4 stampers a bigger pen which is perfect for small hands, it’s on a string, and has soft backing! Another great toy from b toys! I included 6 photos. I showed the backs of the magnet as magnets can be a cause of concern for little ones and showed where they connect and the thickness of the backing.

This is honestly such great quality for the price. My 14mo is obsessed with it. It has a handle, 4 stamps, an attached “pen”, and a built in cushion on the back like a little lap desk. I love that the stamps are big enough that I don’t really have to worry about them being a choking hazard. Also, the stamps click in and aren’t the easiest to pull out which is ok by me because they won’t get lost easily.

This might be my daughter's favorite toy she got for Christmas this year. I love that the pen is attached and that it's a simple way for her to have fun drawing and doodling without the mess of crayons or markers. The only thing that prevents me from giving this a 5-star rating is that the stamps are really difficult to get out sometimes. I wish they had been designed to have an easier-to-grip handle. I suppose the plus side of that is that the stamps stay FIRMLY in place, which makes it harder to lose...but it also makes them a bit tricky to use. Overall, this is a classic toy that doesn't require any batteries and my artistic little girl is loving it!

Cute but not practical
13 April 2023

I wanted to love this drawing board more. I typically love B. Toys brand, but this was a disappointment. The size, concept, and design are all appealing. Once purchased I realized my son was having a hard time with erasing the drawings. I also struggle with it as the slide bar is very sticky and hard to move. The animal magnets are adorable and my son is obsessed with ducks which made the duck magnet a favorite. The problem is that the magnets don't stay in place. The board has a handle to be carried but if you pick it up all of the magnets fall off. We constantly are trying to find the lost magnets because they just don't stay on.

Difficult for very little kuds

Overall, it’s ok, but not as good as other versions of this product. The spots where the magnets and the pen click-in are really tight and it can be really hard (especially for little kids) to remove them. The eraser part is also not very smooth and often gets stuck. My 2 year old was really frustrated with this product and often had to ask for assistance. May be better for bigger kids.

Does not stand the test of time

We have two laptrecs one that we bought two years ago and another we bought last week. Both are enjoyed and loved by our kids but the wand inside that erases the doodles/drawings broke on both of them. The slider knob is just too stiff when sliding up and down which causes the wand to break. Also, the writing pad on our older laptrec busted open and is now steadily leaking the fluid inside of it. When I tried to fix the leak it I developed itchy welts anywhere where it touched my skin. This is most disappointing because it renders it to be unsafe for my kids to use. What a waste!! Unlike the erasing wands, that’s not something I can fix! So what will this company do to fix this problem for me? Likely not a darn thing. It’s the least you could do considering we have bought many of your products.

Don't waste your money or time
27 December 2022

I'm honestly shocked there are any 5 star reviews; this could be due to inconsistent manufacturing outcomes. The writing and drawing do not last for even a minute. As others have said, the eraser is offset, and on mine, it doesn't even reach the bottom. I will be returning this as soon as possible! Don't waste your money or time.

Immediately fell apart
12 March 2022

My child received this as a gift. We waited a couple of months until she was the suggested 18m age to use. Immediately after opening, the rabbit shaped magnet would not stay in its place. Shortly after, the duck shaped magnet fell apart. Then I noticed a clear gel on my toddler's hands and near her mouth, and it was apparently whatever adhesive was used to keep the magnet part on the duck piece. Hopefully non-toxic! We're very disappointed, and definitely don't recommend for this age.

Giving this a solid 3-stars because it got the job done, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. Bought this in a pinch before traveling with my 2.5 year old. Good news: he loved it and it kept him busy on the airplane! Bad news: cheap quality, the writing is pretty light and randomly fades away on its own without using the erase feature, and the little animal stamps (which my son loves) either fall out or are nearly impossible to get out! I will also add that I picked this up as a drive-up order and it is way bigger than I thought. Difficult to fit in a travel bag! But that’s on me for not reading dimensions ahead of time. All in all, if you’re in desperate need of something like this NOW, then go for it. If you can wait, I’d order a different higher quality ... MoreGiving this a solid 3-stars because it got the job done, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The B. in B. toys stands for BAD TOYS
10 September 2021

This product seemed too good to be true. It's not often you find a magnetic drawing board with such nice, sturdy plastic on the exterior that also has a pillow built in to the bottom. I have a small list of issues to share: 1. The animal-shaped magnets either fall out too easily or stick in so well that your toddler can't pull them off when they want to use them. They're also tough to grip with your fingers. 2. The sliding eraser knob is too stiff for a toddler to pull, meaning you'll be doing the erasing for your child. It slowly gets stiffer and stiffer until it breaks as seen in the attached photo. While they use nice material on the outside of their product, you'll see Battat used cheap, easily breakable material on the inside. The eraser never erases the entire "screen" and often the image when writing will appear faint. 4. Look at Battat shamelessly trying to defend their product on the negative reviews on this page. They refused to help me and told me I voided my warranty by opening the product just to take this photo. Way to stand by your product. It has 11 screws, no warranty seal, and according to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, I am not in breach of the warranty by opening it. Buyer, beware! I'm not re-buying this. My toddler is pretty upset that he can't draw anymore so I'm off to Target to pick up a classic Magna Doodle. Peace!
