I am a recreational player, a middle school coach, and assistant varsity coach. I wanted to upgrade my racket but don't play enough matches to justify the newest higher priced models. I have been using this racket for about a week in practice situations and so far it feels great. If you want/need a solid racket but don't need the most current model I would recommend this.

We bought this racquet as a backup for our daughter to have at tennis meets (already had this model, just older). This is a review of this company; not the racquet. I communicated via text when needing to place an order and I felt like I had a very one-on-one experience. Very responsive, helpful and personalized service. I would definitely do business again!

He has been playing with Head extreme racquets before and this was the first time we tried Babolat. What a great racquet for him. He hardly needed any time to adjust to it, it is light, and he hits the ball really hard and fast. Lots of top spin with this racquet and the biggest noticeable difference are his serves with this racquet. His serves have so much more power than before and he loves it. Racket is good for my 11 year old son as he’s transitioning from junior size to adult. However the strings broke after two hours op practise play. Went back to decathlon Ealing and was told that’s normal (£109 for two hours of tennis what a bargain wright)Had to pay an extra £16 for new strings so not sure what the two years warranty is for and my son had to unfortunately go back to his old junior racket which he’s not so happy about . If you thinking of buying don’t buy with strings get it somewhere else frame only and get it restrung with a good quality string that will hold for longer than two hours.
Personally this raquet is exactly what I was looking for. I love hitting the ball flat and this raquet helps me generate good power on my serve and forehands. Combined with a full bed of VS Gut and a couple of string protectors the raquet is super friendly on my wrist and elbow. I upgraded from an old Pure Drive Aero and the difference is night and day, it's elevated my serve two fold and overall control for a precise shot down the line.
The Pure Drive Tour has the same dimensions as the Pure Drive but is a bit more heavier but still head light. The extra weight, towards the handle, allows less effort to drive base shots with pace. Being head light allows quicker response on volleys and net play. If you enjoy the Pure Drive the PD Tour is a step up as your tennis game improves. I noticed an immediate improvement in my service game, I’m more consistent and my serves have more pace and more accurate placement. The extra heft of the racquet allows me to swing easier and the racquet does the work. I use hybrid strings too.
Been a Pure Drive 101 user for about 6 years. Getting older, slower and eyes never been so great anyway. Thought about getting a larger sweet spot and happy to have found this larger size in the same line I am so used to. Very happy with my purchase now. Love the 107! The larger sweet spot has helped. It is lighter but it manageable. Having more success than before after a playing more than a month. I can notice the difference. I wish I could play with the 101 Pure Drive but happy for the extra help the 107 offers.

Last September I upgraded to the 2021 Pure Drive and went to hybrid strings (ALU big banger poly@54lbs and Prince Synthetic gut@50lbs). My serves had better topspin (flat 1st and kick 2nd), and pace too. The 2021 Pure Drive maintained the same feel and touch on volleys and at the net. That being said, I did hit with Wilson Clash, 104sqin, same hybrid strings too. The Clash has a heavier feel at the net, but nice heft for baseline rallies. My service game improved, better pace, and without having to swing harder. Huh! My experience was very nice. Just a small note for any future buyer. It suited me very well. One suggestion is for any one with tennis elbow problem or any player not used to playing with a 320 gm strung racquet can consider the lite version. This racquet seems a bit heavy after a hours play and one gets the feeling that the lite version of the babolat pure would have been nice. Other its a very nice racquet. Good power, control and enough spin..
The racket has been good for my 12 yr old son, but after some use we noticed the racket guard on top started wearing down exposing the strings to possible scraping with the ground. Sure enough his strings have broken twice right at the top where strings can contact the ground and get damaged. The head design should have the strings further in the racket head on top to protect them from damage. This is a big flaw and a waste to even string the racket again. We will not be using the racket again. Buyer beware.
