Our 7-month-old loves his Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes music box, so BE had built up some good will with me. As an amateur musician I love seeing my son taking to music too. He enjoys playing with a baby walker at his cousin’s house, so when I saw that BE had a musical baby walker, I was eager to get one for home. The best word to sum up my experience would be “disappointment.” The Take Along Tunes plays brief renditions of classical music songs. This walker does the same thing, only for some reason BE decided to add some hip-hop beat tracks and effects. If you’ve ever wanted to hear Ponchielli’s Dance of the Hours punctuated by hip hop “yeah yeah yeahs” then this is the toy for you. For my part, I thought this a particularly poor choice. If you’ve ever wanted to hear Ponchielli’s Dance of the Hours punctuated by hip hop “yeah yeah yeahs” then this is the toy for you. For my part, I thought this a particularly poor choice. It’s not that I mind hip hop and rap, it’s just not what I was looking for or expecting, and the combination sounds ridiculous to my ears. The toy has three modes including animals, colors, and music. Ironically, due to the hip hop remixes the music mode is the least musical of them all. I found the colors mode to be the purest musically if you’re looking for just the songs without the unwelcome additions. Other disappointments include a “microphone” which is nothing more than rattle that is both too difficult for a baby to get off by himself and untethered to the walker so that once it is removed it is liable to get lost, a five-key keyboard that looks like it should light up but doesn’t (the black keys have no function), and sliders and knobs that look like musical controls but do nothing except make ratcheting noises and are too stiff for the baby to move, although to be fair they will probably loosen up with use. All this said, my baby still likes playing with it and it keeps him occupied long enough for me to finish some chores. The walker has some good points too, such as multi-language support (English, French, and Spanish). I also like that the table can be removed from the walker making it fairly portable. I did not experience the problems with set up or with locking the legs as I have seen mentioned elsewhere. Even so, had I known beforehand what I know now I would not have made this purchase. 2 stars out of 5

My son loves the music, buttons and lights on this walker. He acts like a little dj and dances and stomps his foot. It has been great to boost his confidence in standing. I like that it can be used in multiple positions with or without the sound board. However, the main reason we got this is to get our son walking. As others have said in reviews, the front is wheels don’t work. He is sturdy enough to use it, but it just slides across the floor as opposed to rolling. Pretty frustrating and would be much better if they just fixed the front wheels.

Great toy for babies learning to walk & stand. A lot of negative reviews were that the wheels don’t move a ton, but honestly I appreciate it because it’s not going to fast for my baby. Works great on hard flooring and carpet. Love that it stands like a table so my daughter can pull up and stand at it. Very cute & practical. Plus it folds up nicely so it doesn’t take up a lot of room. I also like that you can lock the wheels in case you just want your baby to work on standing rather than walking.

Big fan of this! My 10 month old had been tentatively trying to take steps on her own after cruising along furniture for about a month. We bought this to give her confidence to move around the room on her own and she started walking completely independently after a couple days’ use. Not sure how much this contributed to that, but like it nonetheless. Now that she’s walking without assistance we still love the toy as a play table or to pop the musical section out for floor play. Also really glad this was not animal themed like so many others are, or obviously gendered. It feels semi neutral and can be used for future kiddos or decor schemes easily! My only complaint on all walkers like this is that the wheels need to have more resistance on them - baby does great on ... MoreBig fan of this! Newly walking kids don’t need access to that kind of speed IMO lol.
This is a second purchase as the first Baby Einstein 4-in-1 DJ top stopped working after 8 months. Sadly the second one is malfunctioning again in 3 months time. It works sometimes so we're still keeping it.I have to admit that because my daughter loves it so much she played with it all the time when she doesn't go to nursery. So perhaps it shortened the lifespan of this product. We bought the first one when my daughter was 5 months old, she could barely sit on her own and she was amazed by its sophisticated design and music and sound effects it makes. Now she's just turned 19 months and she can't be without it. It's part of her toddler life now and the DJ top is in many of her photos and videos. We might consider buying a third when the current one stops working ... MoreThis is a second purchase as the first Baby Einstein 4-in-1 DJ top stopped working after 8 months. But remember it has a short service life which is the only downside.
We bought this toy for our son who is now improving his standing skills. For this reason, we mainly use the toy in the activity table position. My son plays with it every single day, and there isn't been a day that he is not crying because he hurt himself on its wheels. For information, this walker can lock only the back wheels, so when assembled as an activity table, the front wheels spin. My son always lean on the front wheels to stand up, and as the wheels spin he loses control and hit his head on the toy. Apart from that, it is a very nice toy that can hold babies attention for a very long time.
At first we loved this cause my baby loved it so much, but after a few days, we found a flaw to it. With a little more pressure, the walker sudden collapsed down, thank goodness my baby wasnt hurt and he fall to the thick mats we had. I cant imagine him walking alone and dropped down to the wooden floor! He loved the music it had enjoy dancing along with it everyday. Its good for using as a desk and for him to practice standing. But definitely not safe to use as a walker. We tried so hard to make sure its safe, but the white part of it seems to not have locked properly. If all was sturdy, this would definitely be a 5 stars product. Safety is most important to us as parents. Im not sure if ours were a defect as the white part didn't seems to be locked safely as it ... MoreAt first we loved this cause my baby loved it so much, but after a few days, we found a flaw to it. Im not sure if ours were a defect as the white part didn't seems to be locked safely as it was when its all folded up and when its used as a table. We already thrown away all the boxes and packagings as we dont want to keep it in the house due to covid. I would exchange for a second one to try if we had kept everything. See photos of what i meant. The white circled stayed inward when put in walker mode.
I decided on this activity walker because of the ability to turn in to a table as my daughter starts to stand more and walk. The walker is below par in my opinion. It’s not very sturdy and the wheels barely roll. The plastic bends as my 11 month old tries to push it since the wheels don’t roll. I understand it being a little tougher so the walker doesn’t fly out from in front of her but she needs to be able to push it without me guiding it the entire time. Very disappointed that I didn’t just go with my first choice.
We are typically big fans of the Baby Einstein toys. When were searching for a walking/standing toy for our daughter we were delighted to find this one! The music and multilingual options have been a big draw for us. Assembly was super simple and our daughter was excited to play with it and and push it along. However the front wheels don’t spin. I double checked the instructions and then turned to online reviews to discover this unfortunately seems to be the case for many others. I’m so disappointed as we really wanted to love this toy!
We have just received our Baby Einstein walker, after reading the glowing reviews. It has not disappointed! We are so pleased with it. Our son is just about learning to stand up and this is the perfect height for him to learn how to stand and play. There are so many functions on the music board too, literally hours of fun! Love that you can easily change the volume and language settings. Very easy to clean and store away, I know we will easily be able to take this in the car to Grandma's house. One thing that's not mentioned is that there is a locking wheel function. This is great for our son as he's able to learn how to stand up with the walker without it moving away from him. We have bought a LOT of gadgets for him but this is by far well worth the money for how ... MoreWe have just received our Baby Einstein walker, after reading the glowing reviews. I can see this being used well into the future too, being able to take the music board off the main unit, so little one can use it as a table for his toys/puzzles. Highly recommend this for any parent.
