Purchased this hoping for a versatile tool to manage my long, thick hair. Unfortunately it fell short of expectations in several key areas. First major issue is the speed setting. Even on the lowest setting, the airflow is way too powerful for precision drying making it challenging to focus on specific areas. The straightening attachment was a big letdown. It doesn't glid smoothly through my thick hair, often getting caught and tugging. The bristles have already started to 'bend' after a couple of months of use! Volumising brush is ok but not particularly impressive either. Shame as my previous Babyliss model was far superior and I was really hoping for more from Air Wand.

As someone who doesn't use hair styling tools I found this difficult to use at first as there weren't any decent instructions provided. You're better off using YouTube videos.Once I got the hang of it, I found the dryer easy to use. I usually let my hair air dry but this will be useful in winter. I didn't use the volumising tool as I have a lot of curly hair already and don't need volume. I tried the straightening tool but that didn't go well! I think it's intended for straight/wavy hair that just needs smoothing out rather than actually straightening. Though being a styling tool novice, perhaps my technique was wrong.A bag for storing the tools would be useful as I don't want to keep the box and having them lying about might result in loss/breakage.

Also no visible recycling guidance.- My daughter has long hair and suggested that the brush attachment needs to be fitted around the whole dryer to help get more curl into longer hair. I have mid length very fine hair that invariably looks flyaway when blow dried, unless by a professional stylist. I found the air wand gave me a much smoother finish on my hair than I could achieve with my usual hairdryer. On first use, the Air Wand felt cumbersome, possibly due to the different shape, but after a couple of uses, it felt very easy to use. I mostly used the dryer and round brush styler which I loved. I did try the straight brush and it seemed to work well, even on my mid length hair. I loved the easy click on/push button off system for the round brush and straight brush. Initially, I found when holding the Air Wand, my hand accidentally touched the buttons to increase/decrease heat and force of blow. I learned to be aware of this in subsequent uses ...Ā MoreI have mid length very fine hair that invariably looks flyaway when blow dried, unless by a professional stylist. Initially, I found when holding the Air Wand, my hand accidentally touched the buttons to increase/decrease heat and force of blow. I learned to be aware of this in subsequent uses but it may be something to consider if refining the design. The instruction book was helpful but would benefit from some diagrams detailing the functions of the buttons and the location of the release button for attachments. A negative for me was finding the Air Wand would not work on my vacation in Canada, which curtailed my ability to further develop my review. I have always carried my own hairdryer when travelling and never encountered this problem in previous visits to Canada or the USA. Other than this issue, I feel positive about the benefits of using an Air Wand.
Very impressed so far! I have quite fine, long hair and struggle to get volume. This hair wand dries my hair quite quickly, Iām able to add volume either using the wand by itself or by adding the volumising brush attachment (still figuring out how to use this best though!)My hair feels a lot softer using this compared to my normal hairdryer. Itās very light and simple to use, with different heat and speed settings. The attachments clip on and off easily using a button on the top.The straightener attachment was easy to use, and gave a natural result - Iām not throwing my Norma straighteners away just yet but once I get the hang of these I may do!My only negatives are:There is a very high pitched noise when the unit it on (I can hear it, my mum canāt) a bit ...Ā MoreVery impressed so far! Itās not loud, but I do notice it.I would have found a booklet on how best to use the attachments useful.I would have found a carry pouch useful, as there is nowhere to store the attachments (and I do travel a fair bit)
I did not expect to like this as much as I did. The straightner part really does make a difference, my hair is not as frizzy (compared to drying alone), so donāt feel the need to straighten my hair everyday. Though not as straight and sleek as straightening. Itās light to hold which is nice as I find my arms hurting with normal hair dryers. The volume brush I needed to get used to. My hair tends to be more flat. But did see a difference using the brush vs drying alone / using the straightner. As a tool itās quite handy in my opinion. I liked how it has different temperature settings and power settings too. And itās quieter than a normal hair dryer. For reference my hair type is straight, fine and bleached (so tends to be frizzy).
So I started using this wand without reading any instructions and it is instinctively easy to use, the attachments slot into place really easily and it's completely fuss free. The only thing I read after that wasn't obvious was the 'cool shot' setting - press the temperature button until the lights turn blue to get a finishing/setting cool shot. The attachments - the volume brush is really good and you can get a nice little one handed blow dry with medium effort. I reckon (based on how the brush attaches in a different way to the other brand) the brush is unlikely to unclip mid blow dry after a few months use..The straightening brush is probably aimed at someone with a natural kink to their hair (mine is naturally poker straight and I usually straighten it to ...Ā MoreSo I started using this wand without reading any instructions and it is instinctively easy to use, the attachments slot into place really easily and it's completely fuss free. It was really great at smoothing my root when styling up!The hairdryer (not an attachment) is actually brilliant, it's so powerful and easy to use. It's hard to fault it.Packaging - the big box seemed a little unnecessary as the wand is fairly compact and there are only two small attachments.I like this air wand and it does a good job of styling my shoulder length, straight hair. It's selling point for me is a fuss free 90's blow dry with no arm ache!
I have long thick hair which results in long periods of time drying and styling my hair; I have absolutely loved having the air wand to effortlessly care for my hair. Itās light weight with 3 airflows/4 temperatures to suit your needs, Iāve found itās dried my hair quicker than other hair dryers and Iāve noticed considerably less frizz with a smoother finish. Itās easy to use, with magnetic attachments and the unlock feature to release, obviously these heat up whilst in use so care is needed when changing them. Iāve found all attachments have their benefits though having naturally curly hair, the straightening function doesnāt compare to straighteners, however it does considerably well.Iāve found it great for travel not having to take multiple hair appliances and ...Ā MoreI have long thick hair which results in long periods of time drying and styling my hair; I have absolutely loved having the air wand to effortlessly care for my hair. This styler has a 3 temperature settings and three heat settings, works really well as a hair dryer on the fast setting, dried my hair quickly enough to be able to style it with the brush attached as your hair still needs to be slightly damp. The brush gave my hair a good shape, I found the best way to use it was to have the speed on the lowest setting and the temperature either set on the first or second setting and shape it by sectioning off to style.I didnāt use the straightening comb that came with it as my hair is cut into a jaw length bob and I feel this attachment would work better on longer hair.It came nicely boxed and would make a lovely present. The styler is fairly light and easy to hold and a nice long cable.Iāve used the styler for nearly a week ...Ā MoreThis styler has a 3 temperature settings and three heat settings, works really well as a hair dryer on the fast setting, dried my hair quickly enough to be able to style it with the brush attached as your hair still needs to be slightly damp. This will definitely be coming on holiday with me as itās less bulky to have in the case. The only thing I would have liked was a round brush attachment to help me get more lift at the back of my hair.
The hairdryer alone is really good. The different heat settings are great and the temperatures are at a good level. I love the volume attachment and this is buy far my favourite thing about it. Itās easy to use and on my long fine hair made a big difference. I felt like I had been to the salon after using it. I need more practice with the straightener attachment. It does smooth my hair, it doesnāt straighten like my straighteners do but it could be that I need to practice more and get used to the air blowing whilst straightening, as I have never experienced this before. Overall I think this is a lovely wand that is light weight and looks great too. My hair likes it too š
