I’ve had this straightener over 9 years and it’s still going strong. I have a ton of hair that’s very thick so the 1.5” plates help cover more area in less time which makes it very efficient. In cosmetology school, I became familiar with Babyliss having a stellar reputation for quality products. One thing that I have struggled with the last few years is a flat iron that has a small enough while not too small hot wand. This is PERFECT for getting those close to the scalp areas of an extremely curly haired person, without tiptoeing around the service trying not to burn their skin. Best Flat iron for curly hair

I got the 1 1/2" for Mother's Day as a gift from my husband. So far, this flat iron has exceeded my expectations. First, it ibas beautiful shiny titanium plates that really press curly hair sleek straight. It goes up to 450 degrees and has a temperature dial. The iron is the perfect width for any hair length. For reference, I have medium length hair past my shoulders. It gets a lot of hair because the plates are kind of long about 5". My hair last about 1x week before it needs a wash. The plates get very hot from the outside and sides so please be careful. Other than that it surpassed my GHD platinum and Dyson iron in performance.

Can't decide

I've been using a GHD straightener for over 6yrs, but wanted to try something diff. The lady that I've been going for a hair cut for about a yr now would use this hair straightener babybliss nano 1 in and loved how straight my hair would get. After receiving this straightner as a gift I cant say I would give it 5 stars. Im stuck in the middle. Now that I'm personally using it I notice how it doesn't glide through my hair like my ghd does. It tucks at my hair. If your the type that likes to hold the plates you really cant due to the straightener getting too hot. I'm constantly checking if I hit the power button because where they placed it. This product is great and lived up to my expectations! It feels durable and not like a lot of the more lightweight plastic flat irons I've tried. There was no burning hair smell even when I put it on the highest temperature level.I think this product would be fantastic for those looking to control and straighten down the "baby hairs" or frizzy fly aways. Love this brand— smooths quickly, easily, without

One of my favorite brands of flat irons. Works so well, very easily, and with less heat damage to hair. Heat transfer is even through the plates, hair smoothing is lasting, and there is little-no damage to hair ends. The iron, regardless of plate thickness, is lightweight to hold and easy to handle. I recommend this brand/line, even with a higher cost, because of its effectiveness and durability. I personally used to go through flat iron after flat iron as each would die out quickly, lose heating ability, etc. Now, I prefer to invest a tad more for tools that work better and last longer. Also, my hair never gets caught in the plate sides of the Babyliss iron as it used to with other brands. Small but mighty!

I was a bit skeptical about this product because I have thick mid length hair, and this flat iron is only 1/2" and made for short hair and touch ups. However! When I used it, it straightened my hair really well and with ease. I had to do smaller sections at a time but with as quickly as it worked it didn't take me any longer than it does when I use my regular flat iron. It doesn't leave my hair super hot either, and definitely reduces frizz. I also like that the cord is a swivel cord, and wrapped in fabric. I have cats that love to chew on cords, so this is just added protection. My downside is that there's not an auto shut off - my normal flat iron has a safety feature where it shuts off after 40 min. It takes barely any time to heat up at all. It has 5 heat setting and on and off button, the heat is being changed by up and down button. After spraying my hair with a heat shield and jumped right in. I wanted to curl my hair not flatten it, so I took a small section of hair combed it and took the iron and started close to my head have it a half turn and pulled straight down. The flat parts of the flat iron were very smooth and of shiny metal and I think they called it floating plates that makes it glide so easy! Be careful or you will burn your finger prints right off. I highly recommend a glove to hold down to straighten or curl your hair with this. It's not as smooth as my hairdressers was. It also wasn't $300 like hers was this is definitely used and not new
