Back Country Cuisine freeze-dried meals are formulated to meet the high energy needs of outdoor activities. They provide a careful balance of carbohydrates and sugars for instant energy, protein to replenish exhausted muscles and oils and fat to provide an energy store (oils and fats are kept within the recommended maximum of 30% of total energy). The Back Country Cooked Breakfast 2 Serve features: 2x 318g serve: 175g packet weight + 460mL water 1654kj / 396 calories per serve 19.2g protein per serve 3 year shelf life No added MSG. Back Country Cuisine uses their Freeze Dri process to make delicious meals that can be prepared in their packet within 10 minutes once adding boiling water. Freeze drying retains food's natural vitamins because of the low temperatures used in processing. The result is a completely dry product that does not shrink during the drying process. This is a freeze dried meal that actually tastes pretty good. I added an egg and it kept 2 of us going on a wet day when we didn't want to stop often. Re-hydrates easily.

Got this for a test overnight camp (in the garden) with my 6 year old to see if she'd freeze dried food. It got the thumbs up and she was most impressed that despite how it looked when it came out of the packet actually tasted like real food!

I have been known to have a healthy appetite and thought that the single serve Cooked Breakfast would not be enough to start the day, so I purchased the double serve Cooked Breakfast and was disappointed with myself for not being able to finish the double serve for breakfast as there was way too much.The breakfast mix is quite satisfying with Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Brown (Potato) and Tomato rolled into one complete meal, and it somehow works quite well being blended together, however next time I might just stick with the single serve..

These freeze dried meals are a great alternative when you can’t cook fresh produce, I have tried most of their meals and narrowed it down to my favourites. Cooked breakfast is one of them and taste good . It will keeps you going till lunchtime
This isn't one that I enjoyed (and I didn't even finish it), because I'm not a fan of cooked tomato (love it raw), and I found that flavour overpowering. But if you enjoy cooked tomatoes, go for it!
I searched quite a few different meals hoping to find a tasty one and this didn’t disappoint, it was quite tasty!
not the biggest fan tbh, but i guess in worst case scenario it would do the job. i recommend measuring the water as accurately as you can so its not to gluggy or to dry.
