I have been using these tools for many years doing painting restoration work and they are flawlessly designed. I also recommend getting the wavy blades as they work much better for ripping through tough material.

I was recommended this scraper by a joiner after he said he wouldn’t use anything else. No need for paint stripper anymore! Easily scraped off 4 layers of oldpaint on bannister and stairs. Workload reduced to hours rather than days. Ergonomic handle means no blisters. Carbide blade lasts for months and doesn’t chip if you hit a nail head. Hands down best hand tool I own.

At last, a scraper that lasts! The carbide blade is sharp and at the perfect angle. The slight convex profile prevents unintentional dig-ins and the handle is excellent, enabling good control over the intensity of the ‘cut’. Comfortable to use for long jobs - such as skirting boards - with minimal hand fatigue.
Superb tool. Really good for removing paint from a variety of surfaces. However, if you use it to remove paint from brick work, the blade isn’t gonna last that long. That’s more down to the level of abuse I was giving it than any fault of the tool. I was essentially shaving the top layer off each brick. Not exactly what the tool was designed for. But it handled the job like a champ and did superb work. Also really good for removing paint off woodwork. So much better than a heat gun for indoor jobs, where you don’t want to stink the house out.I would highly recommend this tool and I intend to buy the bigger and the smaller version as well, to cover all bases. If, like me, you’ve got a whole house to decorate, get this tool sooner rather than later. It makes things ... MoreSuperb tool. I saw Louis S. use a similar tool in a video. It works great for scraping epoxy and getting it close to form without all the sanding dust. Expensive but saves me time and sanding disks.
This is one of the best tools I have used, comfortable grip, decent length to the handle and the blade keeps its edge for ages This is the second Baco scraper I have purchased, the smaller version I have now had for 3/4 years and wouldnt be without it in my toolbox Terry (Decorator)
I bought this tool on a punt, as it was fairly cheep. I have used it to remove paint from a window frame without use of a hot air gun. It performed really well. It's also been used to remove Coving adhesive, filler, and plaster. Requires a bit of elbow grease, but performs really well
Never had a scraper work this well, I bought three different sizes all wok great!
Bought this to use prepping my stairs for paint after having carpet glued to the MDF for years. Works a treat, the blade is excellent quality, I can tell the spare blade I ordered won't be needed for a while. Also you can tell they actually took some time to design the tool. It feels comfortable in the hands while working and the blade works well whether on MDF or plywood, it even works well against the gloss paint I have to clean up a bit. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a well made scraper for small, or not so small, projects and tight areas.
