It's an apt name for a saw ,"Barracuda" for this game fish has a fierce array of teetThe saw glints and gleams-slashing thru timber To hold in the hand is to wield a saw of truly exotic pro venence.Like a darting Barracuda which plunges relentlessly with all the wicked thrust of a predator of the Caribbean seas

Purchased this saw after reading all positive reviews. Used the saw to cut through an extremely large tree stump - made short of it! Was contemplating hiring a chainsaw but glad I didn’t! Can definitely recommend - certainly the best saw I have used and was relatively inexpensive!

Bought this after seeing other reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. Had 8 internal oak doors to fit and this saw made light work of cutting them to height. Half way through them now and this saw is still razor sharp, so fully confident it will sail through the rest.
Popped into local kitchen makers to se if I could salvage some used timber from them. They said 'help yourself' to the 4ft x 4ft x 20mm chipboard that was piled up. I did, but had no saw with me and could not get them into car without cutting. But, Screwfix was but yards away and so I purchased this little beauty! Loads of saws at home but this one is King! Ripped through six of these boards and it was so eassssy. Thank you Screwfix and Bacho. Only one saw for me from now on.Gave 5 stars for reliability, even though new, because of its build and performance.
Excellent saw, reasonably stiff blade so keeps a good straight line for accurate cuts.
Good performance. Easy cutting of 4x4 timbers, no sticking.
Good quality saw with a strong blade a comfortable handle. Great for the price.
I had some large boughs to cut off a tree 4m up a ladder. I didn't want to use a chainsaw for safety reasons and don't get on with bowsaws as I find they jam in the cut. I read the previous reviews on this saw and thought I'd give it a try for the price.. It worked a treat, rough cuts nicely on a tree and I'm sure it will work just as well on structural timber
Bahco what have you done to the 244? This used to be my saw of choice. Like their pruning saws the blades used to be thin & flexible & cut through wood very easily. The saw I've just picked up from Screwfix is much heavier & more rigid & does not cut anywhere near as well as previous models. I don't know if Bahco are pandering to diy enthusiasts who don't know how to use saws properly & tend to try & force them through the wood rather than let the saw do the work. I can't see any other reason why they have been made so rigid but it's certainly not an improvement unless your cack-handed.
