This wrecking knife is a must have while doing any sort of maintenance or construction. I clip it on my belt when doing stuff around the house or garden. Box to open? Ideal. Box to break down? Even better. Separating wood with rusty fasteners? A godsend, especially if you have a mallet/hammer/brick handy to give it extra oomph.Comes out of the pack already sharp. Not shaving sharp, but sharp enough to use as a knife or (at a push) a chisel. Great for anything where you just want to remove a little material, cuts branches without having to fetch a pruning saw, cuts down brambles. It's not the best tool for every job, but it's an adequate (or better) tool for such a wide range of things. The plastic holster (quite loose, not a sheath) is good, clips easily onto my belt.

This knife won't win any beauty contests but it is a solid workhorse of a knife. Arrived with a razor sharp edge. For bushcrafting, will baton with ease (the box even shows you can hammer it on the back edge with a claw hammer!). A good beater for jobs where you don't want to ruin more expensive knives or other tools.

It's what you might hope for in a Bahco tool; for those jobs for which you really shouldn't be using your best, carefully honed chisels (and much more). Now I have no excuse. It's a nice bit of metal and delivered sharp, ready for use.

I bought this, more out of curiosity, but having had it now for a number of weeks, it has proved really useful. The shape of the blade has allowed me to use it as a pry tool, a chisel, a scraper and as a knife. The handle is sturdy and reasonably comfortable, it allows me to hold it it firmly when I have needed to chop things. The spine is strong enough to be hit with all hammer. Really good for the price.
So glad I went for this one. It is robust and the blade is really sharp so easily slices through the timber I use it for. Also love that I can use the slide blade too. I’ve used it quiet a lot in the last two weeks and it’s still as sharp as it was when I got it.
Great little tool for cutting and slicing anything from wood to plastic. Very handy and it doesn’t cost a lot. It will save you a lot of time one day.
Great design, nice handle, nice plastic sheath - reminds me of the Mora knives. Scandi grind makes it easy to sharpen. Wish I'd got one years ago!
Used this Bahco wrecking knife to take up 20 square meters of floor tiles. Will need a sharpen before using again but did the job very well. The side Blade was useful also. Strong bit of kit and would recommend. Will last longer than a regular chisel for similar work. The grip on the handle is good. Overall good value for money.
I own both the round and square end versions of this. Mainly get used at Scouts as an extremely durable and for the quality of the item cost effective bushcraft knife. I have also used them when building a toilet at home, and it proved to be a tough and effective tool.
The Bahco Wrecking Knife looks like a chisel, but it definitely is not one. The blade has a normal grind, not a chisel grind, meaning it's bevelled on both sides. That said, the thick, straight-tipped blade is excellent for roughing out mortices and chopping wood quickly. The side-strike feature will be very useful for destroying wood and taking out large chips. It comes fairly sharp, but 5 minutes on an oilstone and strop made it shaving sharp. The knife feels like it was built for hardcore, rough work ("Wrecking" seems right) and would be best utilised in that manner. The sheath is "better than nothing" but not great. Very plastic and cheap feeling, but definitely does the job. Actually, I think it holds the knife a bit too snugly, making it hard to get out, but ... MoreThe Bahco Wrecking Knife looks like a chisel, but it definitely is not one. I'm a DIY-er, not a builder so your opinion may be different.Be careful using this knife- you might be inclined to hold it like a chisel which WILL cut you. Overall, this knife just feels awesome to have. It's something I will toss around, abuse, and use to wreck stuff. Lovely.
