My 8 year old son is very excited to have the Bakugan Battle Matrix! Unfortunately, he did not already have any Bakugan toys. But, now he can't wait to buy some so he can really battle! The stage set up is really cool. He loves that he can push the toy off and it rolls around. There are holders for the cards on the side of the stage. Also, the hexagon pieces fit perfectly on the board. This is a great start to his Bakugan collection. We'll be adding more to it later today!

It only came with 1 bakugan and you can’t play if this is the only thing you have. You need to buy 5 more separately! The box or directions don’t even say what you need. It also doesn’t describe what things are in the directions very well. My son is very disappointed that he can’t play. I’m mad that I have to spend a lot more money. Might return it.

I gifted this game to my 6 year old who loves battling games and shortly after his younger brother joined in and the whole family. He was so excited for this new game. Loves the Shankar Bakugan that comes with this. Even took it to school to show his best friend! Looks like now his best friend is getting this set and both boys now have a wishlist of what additional cards and bakugan they'd like to have. Very easy to set up or take it apart and put it away. The board doesn't take up much space and simple to take apart when not in use. My son played over an hour with just Sharktar Bakugan. He's fascinated how it pops open into a creature and closes. Pretty interesting game, I do wish it had two Bakugan in the starter kit. But not a deal breaker for us! My son had never played with Bakugan products before but he invited some friends over and they had a blast. It was easy to set up and get them going. They loved the arena and how all the pieces stay inside. This makes it great for younger kids. They all enjoyed having a special collectible Bakugan. They played for about 30 minutes before they got distracted by something else. I think its a good game for them to teach different skills. Its a little difficult to get it all back in the box once you have set it up but thats ok.
My kids have a few of these games from the adventure anime series Bakugan. They were so excited to play with the Geogan Rising battle matrix especially since it includes an exclusive character "Sharktar". The new battle surface makes it easier to roll down the ramp and the walls make doing tricks more efficiently. Definitely kept them busy with hours of gameplay. The game came with all pieces listed on the box and a easy to follow rules sheet. If your kids are into the anime shows this is a great choice for gift giving. Highly recommended.
I am a 43 year old woman who knows absolutely nothing about Bakugan; but my kids know and they were beyond excited when I got the Bakugan Battle Matrix Deluxe Game Board. I was told that I was the coolest so I'm going to assume that this set is kid approved. Everything needed for instant battle fun is included so don't worry about having to buy a ton of extras; my kids still want all the extras. It took a few minutes to set up but it's not difficult. My kids are still playing with it pretty consistently so I'm going to call this one a win!

My kids, my 6.5 year old in particular, loves Bakugans. He got a bunch for Christmas but really wanted the game surface. This was a pleasant surprise to receive! It was easy enough to set up, the pieces clip together, though the center is rather flimsy and could use some extra support.The gold shark bakugan is my son's new favorite one to battle with as it is "powerful" he says.Aestetically, the board is a bit blah and some color or accents may have likened it up a bit.Overall, it's a super fun toy and we will get lots of use out of it this winter!

This game only comes with one character. The rest you have to purchase separately for almost $10 a piece. You also have to be sure and buy the correct characters for this game because there are several versions of Bakugan and different characters (Pay attention to the characters shown on the back of your box.) Also wished they had a variety combo pack where you can buy the appropriate missing characters for your game.
