Banana Boat Kids SPF 50+ Sunscreen 400g Pump

Omg. Where has this line been all my life? I've been looking for a daily moisturizer with SPF for years. I had no idea I should be looking for a sunscreen with a moisturizer! I live on the SC coast and have porcelain skin, and I need something I can wear everyday. I was hoping to find a combination product that also acted as a moisturizer, and this is it! . It's loaded with moisture and vitamins and is SPF 50. It comes in a cream, spray, and face formula. I appreciate the convenience of the spray, but I really prefer the face and cream formulas. Will definitely be staples in my beach bag as well as my morning routine. Thanks, Banana Boat, and thanks Influenster for introducing me to these wonderful products!

This sunscreen is great in almost every way: the texture is smooth and not grainy, it blends into the skin well and doesn’t have a weird scent. The only issue I had with it sometimes is entirely dependent on what foundation/primer I use. Every once in a while it doesn’t layer well with my foundation but to be fair, I also don’t wait too long between application. It’s great if you have oily/combo skin like me but not sure how it would work with dry skin. Other than that, it’s great for the price and it performs well. I feel protected wearing it!

As people who spend most of our time outdoors and in and out of the water, Banana Boat has worked out to be the best overall product for skin protection that we have tried. It is easy to apply, non greasy, and lasts a very long time, even with long water immersion periods. We camp and windsurf, and a once-daily early morning application to face, neck, arms and legs lasts all day, although a second application can be helpful if, for example, you rub your face with a towel after coming out of the water. But it's amazing that it doesn't sweat off, even on very hot days, nor does it wash off while being splashed at 35+ mph on the water. There has been a lot of discussion about different chemicals in lotions possibly being as bad (that is, potential to induce melanoma) as no coverage at all, and this may prove to be true. But because the research keeps changing on this as with many other things that we use or consume, we've decided to use this as our primary skin cover. It's not a complete cover like some zinc-based lotions we've used--you do still tan a bit through it--but we have never burned with it, even with prolonged exposure. If you were to use it wearing just a bathing suit and "lying out" all day, I'm not sure that it would work as well. We are quite careful to avoid direct sunlight whenever we can, so I'm sure that we are reducing overall exposure. But when every day is spent outside hiking and/or windsurfing, our best efforts to avoid sun still mean that we're getting a lot. Our previous best choice was Solar Sense lotion, which is Zinc based. This seemed to provide even better coverage, and was also extremely water and sweat resistant. But it was thicker and therefor more difficult going on, and much harder to wash off at the end of the day--or even to thoroughly wash off your hands so it was cool to handle sunglasses without mucking them up. Banana Boat is much easier to clean up,and therefore is not as much of an issue. But Solar Sense may ultimately be the better protection.

I received this product to review. Overall I’m very picky with sunscreens and I will review this no differently based on what I want from a sunscreen. This product is convenient to use. It sprays on clear, which doesn’t give off the terrible white cast. That’s a plus. The only thing is that the aerosols released from the spray bottle makes my throat itchy. Another thing is that I don’t know how many layers of spray would be efficient or equivalent to the lotion counterpart. So based on this I don’t know if this is more cost efficient than the lotions. The bottle has a twist cap to open and close. Very good in case you accidentally press on it. The spray itself doesn’t meet my criteria for sunscreen though. It leaves off a very greasy feeling. I like to use spf on my face and I love that with this face lotion it doesn't have that suncreen smell yet it works what is for. It also doesn't feel sticky which makes it feel like I don't have any sunscreen on. It absorbs quickly and applies smoothly. I have not used with water but I like to use it anytime I know I'll be outside, specially with the weather getting warm. What makes this face lotion great is that is has vitamin c. I think that is an important ingredient when it comes to a face product.

I am pleasantly surprised by this product. It's giving high-end, luxury skincare. The product has a light, airy, moisturizing texture that soothes the skin and leaves a delightful glow. I really like this product and plan to use it instead of my $60 sunscreen going forward. It's so effortless to apply. There's no greasy or sticky film or unsightly white cast. Very high quality.

I like how light weight it is in compared to the older banana boat sunblock. It doesn’t make my face feel very cakey and spread evenly with ease. I also tested the product on my husband’s skin who he has Vertiligo who his skin gets very sensitive under the sun and turns red/pink. He used it for whole day while we were outdoors and I noticed that his skin doesn’t get as red and touch sensitive when he has the sunblock. He doesn’t like most sunblock because it’s too heavy and not breathable but this new formula is so lightweight and not suffocating.

The cream itself is white but once applied and fully absorbed into the skin the white cast disappears. I love that its spf 50 more protection from the sun yay! I have very sensitive eyes and I have noticed that some sunscreens due to the chemicals in them can cause my eyes to burn and I am happy to say that this does not occur with this product.
