Bandai 1/144 RG OO Qan(T)

Review of RG GNT-0000 00 QAN[T]

A perfect representation of the 00 QAN[T] in model kit form. This builds off of the design of the RG Exia and 00 Raiser, using the same inner frame with some considerable modifications. The result is a very sturdy kit that holds poses well, and can interact well with its accessories.Like its predecessors, this is an easy build and the out of box results are more than satisfying with the included decal sheet providing reflective stickers for the insides of the GN condensers on the body and the usual eye sticker choices, plus various additional markings. Plentiful clear green effect parts throughout the body make this kit pop visually, in many cases supported by reflective stickers from behind. Two-tone color separation on the blue and white sections also breaks up the color scheme nicely. Color accuracy is outstanding as usual. The design is not excessively armored or backheavy, making it possible to take full advantage of its articulation. New hand designs invert the weapon peg situation found on most real grades, placing the peg on the hand which is necessary for the contour of the weapons which lock into each other and the shield. The existing RG articulated hands from the inner frame runner are fitted with adapter pieces to give them the same weapon holding capabilities should you wish to use them instead of the dedicated weapon holding hands.Accessories include the massive GN Sword V, which plugs securely into the forearm to support its hand grip, six GN Sword Bits of varying sizes which can plug into the included GN Shield, wielded in hand or combined with the GN Sword V to form an even bigger buster sword or rifle. A simple, clear adjustable stand is included for the GN Sword V to support its augmented configurations. You're on your own if you want to display the sword bits in flight. Usually this sort of thing is reserved for P-Bandai option sets anyway and with everything else this kit does, and the low price point, I'm not going to fault it.Overall, a great purchase and a worthy addition to the Real Grade line.
